BELLEVIEW — Mary M. “Peggy” Didusch, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003.
Mrs. Didusch was born in Jacksonville and moved to Belleview in 1978 from Baltimore, Md. She was a retired secretary for Baltimore County, Md.; a member of Silver Springs Shores Presbyterian Church; a member of YMCA; and a member of Senior Friends of Ocala.
Survivors include daughters Marion Streett, Westminster, Md., Barbara Baker, Dunnellon; son James, Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren

COLEMAN — Ruby W. Leigh, 88, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003.
Mrs. Leigh was born in Hamilton, Ga., and moved from there to Coleman in 1935. She was a homemaker and a member of Adamsville Baptist Church, Adamsville.
Survivors include her daughter Jewell Martin, Coleman; sister Marquerite Waldrep, Forsyth, Ga.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Leigh will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Adamsville Baptist Church, with Dr. Jerry Martin and Dr. Peter Vanpelt officiating. Burial will be at Adamsville Cemetery, Adamsville.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — James D. “Bill” Stegall, 75, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003.
Mr. Stegall was born in Smithville, Miss., and had been a resident of Leesburg, Fla., for many years. He was a former Florida highway patrolman; was retired as a wholesale and retail automobile dealer in the Leesburg area for 35 years; was co-owner and operator of Leesburg Auto Sales; a member of First Baptist Church, Leesburg; a member of the National Automobile Dealers Association; and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his son James M. “Mike,” Mount Dora; daughters Sandy Dudley and Carron Frost, both of Dacula, Ga., Lynn Geohagen, Lakeland, Kim Wallen, Auburn, Ga.; brothers Jerry B., Fruitland Park, Stewart Barry, Altamonte Springs; sister Mona Sanford, Leesburg; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

SUMMERFIELD — John David Patterson, 74, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003.
Mr. Patterson was born in Bedford, Ind., and moved to Summerfield in 1988 from Dearborn, Mich. He was a retired dynamometer supervisor for Ford Motor Co. after 17 years; a Baptist in faith; a member of Masonic temple in Michigan; a lifetime member of DAV; reserve policeman in Dearborn; a U.S. Army veteran of Korea; and a Purple Heart recipient.
Survivors include his wife Kathleen; daughters Theresa Duncan, Milford, Mich., Dawn Fisher, Brownstown, Mich.; sons John Jr. and James, both of Dearborn, Robert, Canton, Mich.; sister Marilynn Koebbe, Westland, Mich.; and 12 grandchildren.

THE VILLAGES — Richard William Craig, Sr., 71, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at Coral Springs, Fla.
Mr. Craig was born in Pinckneyville, Ill., and moved to The Villages in 1992. He was retired from Union Pacific Railroad (formerly Missouri Pacific) after 37 years, and served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Survivors include his wife Margaret; daughters Patricia Roseboom and Jean Edwards; sons Richard Jr. and James; brothers Don, Roger and Gary; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Craig will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the Baptist church in Pinckneyville.

OCALA — Joe A. Davis, 61, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003.
Mr. Davis was born in Bushnell. He was owner/operator of a tree surgeon service and a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Boston was born in Greensburg, Ky., and moved to The Villages in 2002. He was a CADD designer for General Electric and a member of Cooper Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie J.; daughter Cheryl Graykowski, St. Louis, Mo.; sons David R., St. Louis, John E., Marysville, Ind.; sister Pat Doerr, Bowling Green, Ky.; and three grandchildren.

THE VILLAGES — John R. “Dick” Hudy, 59, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003.
Mr. Hudy was born in Johnson City, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Rochester, N.Y., in 1998. He was a scheduler for the commercial and government systems division at the Eastman-Kodak Lincoln plant in Rochester, retiring after 29 years, was a member of Fairway Christian Church in The Villages, where he volunteered in the audio-visual and lawn maintenance departments, was an avid golfer, fisherman, gardener, and a volunteer for Hospice of Lake & Sumter, Inc., a member and chairman of the Oratorical Committee of American Legion Post 347 of Lady Lake, a past commander of Jewell Buckman American Legion Post 529 of Holley, N.Y., and a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Pat;” daughters Jennifer Lander and Jacquelin “Tril” Appelgate, both of Rochester; brother William, Springfield, Mo.; sister Verna Mendola, Webster, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

LADY LAKE — John Charles Binsbacher, 73, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003.
Mr. Binsbacher was born in St. Louis, Mo., and was an electronic technician, retiring from naval avionics in Indianapolis, Ind., a Catholic, and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; sons John Joseph, Indianapolis, David Nelson Burnett, Clearwater; daughters Cynthia Marie Mexner, Piedmont, S.C., Kathy Ann Bradley, Indianapolis; sisters Patricia Morris, Indianapolis, Loretta Kelley, Leesburg; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Barrett was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved from Sylvania, Ohio, to Summerfield in 1993. He had been employed at Snap-on-Tools Corp., was a Catholic, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing and bowling.

Mr. Carouge was born in Baltimore, Md., and moved to The Villages from Ocean Pines, Md. He was a pharmacist; of the Catholic faith, a member of the University of Maryland Alumni Association and Zeta-Eta Theta Fraternity, and was an avid golfer and health enthusiast.

Mrs. Chogi was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and moved to Belleview from Nichols, Conn., in 1973. She was a retired secretary from Sikorsky Aircraft in Bridgeport; co-owner of Gabby’s Ice Cream Parlor in Belleview; and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

LEESBURG — Byron E. Herlong, 90, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004.
Mr. Herlong was born in Sumterville and moved to Leesburg in 1921. He was president of A.S. Herlong & Co., Herlong Industries and Foremost Fertilizer, a member of the board of directors of the Leesburg Chamber of Commerce and Florida State Chamber of Commerce, member of the Board of Trustees of Lake-Sumter Community College, president of the Florida Council of 100, director of Tavares & Gulf and Tampa Southern Railroad, member of the board of directors of Florida Power Corp. for 20 years, president of Florida State Baseball League, U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Elks, Shriners, Masons and Kiwanis, and served on the board of directors of Citizens National Bank.
Survivors include his daughter Nancy H. Perrins, Richmond, Va.; sons David A., Merritt Island, Philip K., Leesburg; brother James H., Leesburg; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Campbell was born in Watertown, N.Y., and moved to Summerfield from Chenango Bridge, N.Y., in 1993. She was a homemaker; a Catholic; a member of Women’s International Bowling Congress and Genegantslet Golf Club; an avid bowler, golfer and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include her sons Edmund R. Bell Jr., DeBary, Stephen P. Campbell, Miami, Robert Campbell, Phoenix, Ariz.; companion Edmund R. Bell Sr., Summerfield; sister Ruth Moyes, Fort Meade; and six grandchildren.
