LADY LAKE — Rose Pregel Lawrence, 88, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004.
Mrs. Lawrence was born in Pittsburg, Kan., and moved to Lady Lake from Warren, Mich., in 1982. She was retired from Michigan Bell Telephone with 30 years service as an operator and supervisor; a Catholic; a member of Michigan Bell Telephone Pioneers; and served with the Red Cross during World War II.
Survivors include her son Donald L. Martens, Bruce Township, Mich.; brother Joseph Pregel, Denver, Colo.; sister Jean Kansas, St. Claire Shores, Mich.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mrs. Lawrence will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, at Beyers Funeral Chapel, Lady Lake, with the Rev. Eugene Leahy, officiating.

LEESBURG — Gertrude Hershberger, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004.
Mrs. Hershberger moved to Florida from Owosso, Mich., in 1974. She was a member of the Alliance Church of Leesburg.
Survivors include her nephew Verle Miller, Leesburg; brothers Judson Hershberger of Michigan; sisters Jennie Crum, Downey, Calif., and Ferne Johnson, New Port Richey.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hershberger will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, with the Rev. James Weiss officiating. Interment
will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Dec. 8.

SUMMERFIELD — Lemuel Joseph Evans, 92, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004.
Mr. Evans was born in Clinton, Wis., and moved to Summerfield from The Villages in 2000. He was a supermarket manager.
Survivors include his sons Robert K., Aberdeen, Wash., Lemuel J., Fort Mill, S.C.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

SUMMERFIELD — Arthur R. “Roger” Levesque, Jr., 47, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004.
Mr. Levesque was born in Woonsocket, R.I., and moved to Summerfield from Pascoag, R.I., in 1998. He was a lieutenant with the Providence, R.I., Fire Rescue.
Survivors include his wife Brenda S.; daughters Deedra Paul, Ocala, Andrea Squires, Summerfield; mother Elizabeth Wight, Panacea; sister Alice Burton, Panacea; and one grandchild.
Funeral services for Mr. Levesque will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Belleview, with the Rev. Don Corbit officiating. THE VILLAGES — Josephine C. Debogorski, 81, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004.
Mrs. Debogorski was born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to The Villages from Livonia, Mich., in 1999. She was a billing supervisor for American Standard Industrial Division in Detroit; a member of First Baptist Church at The Villages; The Red Hat Society/The Plum Red Social Butterflies of The Villages Chapter; and hobbies were bowling, golf, reading, and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter Diana M. Lamb, Hartland, Mich., Deborah A. Seibert, The Villages; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mrs. Debogorski will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, at the First Baptist Church at The Villages, with the Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating.

Mr. Grube was born in Atlantic Ocean, and moved to The Villages from Rehoboth Beach, Del., in 2000. He was a retired engineer for American Telephone and Telegraph Company; member of American Legion Post 347 of Lady Lake; former member of Rehoboth Lions Club of Rehoboth Beach; past president of The Bowie Boys and Girls Club of Bowie, Md.; and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife Barbara; daughter Elizabeth Thiess, Stevensville, Md.; sons Richard Jr., Alexandria, Va., Peter, Arnold, Md., Timothy and Gregory, both of Annapolis, Md.; sister Jean Runge, Reston, Md.; brother Robert Blue, The Villages; and six grandchildren.

THE VILLAGES — Joseph Lesnick, 86, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004.
Mr. Lesnick was born in Akron, Ohio, and moved to The Villages from North Fort Myers in 1995. He was retired from F.W. Albrecht Grocery Co.-Click Division in 1980; of the Jewish religion; a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; enjoyed talking with friends and neighbors; and was nicknamed “Mayor of Villita Lane.”
Survivors include his wife Helen; son Jerry, Uniontown, Ohio; one grandson and one great-grandson.

will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

THE VILLAGES — Victor J. Margherita, 86, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004.
Mr. Margherita was born in New York City, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Coconut Creek in 1998. He was a security officer with Railway Express; a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lady Lake; The Villages Italian Club; and El Santiago Club; a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II; an accomplished artist and enjoyed playing boccie.
Survivors include his wife Florence; daughters Terry Margherita, Colgate, Wis., Rosemary Allmann, Williamsburg, Va.; stepson William Pohlman, Bay City, Mich.; stepdaughters Suzanne Palestos, Saginaw, Mich., Nance Kangas, Afton, Minn., Mary Myczkowiak, Frankenmuth, Mich.; sister Annamarie Margherita, Brooklyn, N.Y.; two granddaughters; and eight stepgrandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, at St. Timothy Catholic Church with inurnment at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

THE VILLAGES — James Richard Moore, 75, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004.
Mr. Moore was born in Cazenovia, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from East Fairfield, Va., in 2001. He was a teacher and coach at Mount Canterbury School in New Milford, Conn.; founding head master of LaLumiere, LaPorte, Ind.; head master of Berkshire School, Sheffield, Mass.; an author, poet and enjoyed bridge and golf.
Survivors include his wife Barbara J.; sons David S., Winfield, Ill., Christopher C., Wilbraham, Mass.; daughters Lisa M. Edwards, Cumberland, Va., Deborah L. Hughes, St. Albans, Vt.; brothers Walter S. Jr., Cazenovia, Dr. Roger D. Moore, Clinton, N.Y.; sisters Jeanne Cordts, Frostburg, Md., Helen Breitbeck, Oswego, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

THE VILLAGES — Thomas William Nicolas, 68, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004.
Mr. Nicolas was born in Oil City, Pa.., and moved to Central Florida from Howland, Ohio, in 1998. He retired from Trumbull Memorial Hospital (now Forum Health) in 1996 as chief administrative medical technologist in the laboratory where he worked for 40 years; was a member of the Society of Clinical Pathologists; member of Howland Community Church; member and Past Master of Old Erie Masonic Lodge No. 3 F.&A.M., where he also served as Lodge secretary for 10 years; charter member of The Villages Masonic Lodge No. 394; member and Little League Coach for the Howland Athletic Club; member of the Pymatuning Outboard Motor Club in Pennsylvania; participant in the monthly 8-Ball Billiards League at the Silver Lake Club, coordinating their yearly championship tournament and luncheon; member of the Water Buffaloes program; enjoyed fishing, boating, snooker, and traveling throughout Florida.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Gray; sons Timothy G., Cortland, Todd R., Massillon; daughter Wendy L. Pettigrew, Mineral Ridge; six grandchildren; and sister Louise Gureczny, Oil City.
A memorial service for Mr. Nicolas will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, at the Chapel of Christian Faith, The Villages, followed by an open house and luncheon for friends and neighbors from noon to 3 p.m. at the Nicolas’ residence.

She is survived by a niece Cathleen M. Semmens, Bradenton.

Mr. Drew moved to Florida in 1988 from Rock Hall, Md. He was retired as a sales representative with International Harvester and Maryland Fire Equipment; and a member of Morrison United Methodist Church of Leesburg.
