YEARINGTON, Nev. – Alice M. Christensen, 74, died in Yearington Saturday, March 20, 2004, following a long illness. Funeral services were Saturday at the Kingston Ward Chapel, and graveside services were Monday at the Franktown Cemetery in Franktown, Colo., under the direction of Horan & McConaty. She lived in Weatherford from 1967 to 1990.

Anita Starr
Funeral services for Anita Bert Starr, 73, of Weatherford, were at 10 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church at 400 S. Bickford in El Reno with Rev. Max Malone and Rev. Bill Stoneroad officiating. A traditional all-night wake was held beginning at 7 p.m. Friday at the 4-H Building on the El Reno fairgrounds. Starr died unexpectedly Monday morning, Aug. 5, 2003, at Southwestern Memorial Hospital in Weatherford. She was born on Jan. 11, 1930 at Concho, the daughter of Ralph and Anna (Pierce) Littleraven.
Betty Sue (Rhoads) Pitt

Jean Maxine Roberts
Funeral service for Jean Maxine Roberts, age 84, of Corn,
Oklahoma, will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at 3:00
p.m. in the Pine Acres Church at Weatherford, Oklahoma with

Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford, Oklahoma, under the
direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.
Jean was born to William Henry Otis and Edna (Smallwood) Uzzell
on April 2, 1923, in Coffeyville, Kansas and went home to be
with her Lord on Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Deaconess
Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by her
children. Jean was raised and attended school in Kansas and
Colorado, graduating in LaPorte, Colorado in 1941.
Following a few years working in Denver, Colorado, Jean
attended college in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he met and
married James Donald Roberts on November 27, 1947, and
returned for a few years to farm with him in Plains,
Kansas. Jean supported Don while he attended Bryan College
in Dayton, Tennessee, and Dallas Theological Seminary where
he was ordained in 1958. Jean always served as church
secretary during their ministries starting at the First
Baptist Church of Hanston, Kansas (1958-1963); Bethany
Baptist Church of Denver, Colorado (1963-1966); Fairview M.B.
Church of Fairview, Oklahoma (1966-1976); Cordell M.B.
Church (1976-1990); and Garden Valley Church in Garden City,
Kansas (1990-1994).
Jean was a 60-year member of Kappa Delta Sorority, recently being
inducted into the Emerald Circle. Memorials may be made to
Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma.
Jean is survived by two sons and one daughter: Larry Roberts and
wife, Alice, of Citrus Heights, California; and Stacey
Roberts and wife, Leslie, of Yukon, Oklahoma; and Janet
Crawford and husband, Jeff, of Manassas, Virginia; seven
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Frederick Dean Sauer
Funeral services for Frederick Dean Sauer were Monday at the
First Baptist Church in Hugo.
The Rev. Doug McClure officiated Monday’s service, and burial
followed in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo under the
direction of the Rogan Funeral Home.
Mr. Sauer died July 19, 2007, at his home in Hugo. He was 52.
He was employed by WFEC for 27 years.
Frederick is survived by his wife, Janet Sauer of Hugo; two
sons, Preston Sauer of Hugo and Jason Sauer of Tulsa; two
stepdaughters, Heather McDonal and Crystal Reynolds; his
parents, Eldean and Dorothy Sauer of Bethany; a brother, Dan
Sauer of Yukon; a sister, Dela King of Yukon; six
grandchildren, Baren Reynolds, Layne Burchfield, Mattie
Sauer, Ashton Barnett, Brennan McDonal and Jason Sauer Jr.;
along with 19 nieces and nephews.
The family received friends on July 22, at the home of Fred
Sauer in Hugo.

Mass of Christian burial for Larry Don McKellips, 66 year-old
Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held on Friday,
August 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Eugene Catholic
Church with Father Mark Mason officiating. Burial will be
in Mound Valley Cemetery in Thomas Oklahoma under the
direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford. There
will be a wake on Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. in
The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Larry was born on September 1, 1940 in Fay, Oklahoma to Raymond and
Lillian (Fuller) McKellips and passed away on Monday, August
6, 2007 at his home in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Larry was
raised and attended school in Thomas and graduated from
Thomas High School in 1958. On June 20, 1960 Larry married
Donelda Jean Walker in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Larry was an
electrical engineer having worked in Texas and Oklahoma
until retiring in 1993. He had lived in Anadarko for
thirteen years up to his retirement moving to Weatherford in
1993. Larry enjoyed his family, fishing, making walking
canes, and guns.
Larry is survived by his wife Donelda of the home, three daughters;
Dawn Raena Bryan, Terri Jean Voyles of Weatherford,
Oklahoma, Candy Maria and Terry Stidham of Hydro, Oklahoma,
three sons; Chad Allen and Darlene McKellips of Chalmette,
Louisiana, Brian Keith and Cathy McKellips of Venus, Texas,
Brandon Todd McKellips of Dallas, Texas, two brothers;
Terral and Karen McKellips of Lawton, Oklahoma, Raymond and
Verda McKellips of Weatherford, Oklahoma, twelve
grandchildren; Mary and Nolan Lawless, J.R. and Heather
Bryan, Adam Bryan, Lucas and Sarah Voyles, Constance, Holly
and Wayne Stidham, Matthew and Dillion McKellips, Jeremy and
Ashley McKellips, and one great-grandchild Payton Bryan, and
a host of relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in
death by his parents, Raymond and Lillian (Fuller) McKellips,
one brother; Richard, an infant son Darrel Ray, and one
grandson; Tyson Lane McKellips.
Harry Junior Wile
Funeral services for Harry Junior Wile, 85 year-old Oakwood,
Oklahoma, resident will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007,
at 2:00 P.M. in the Oakwood Christian Church with David Beck
officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood cemetery
under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas.
Harry was born to Harry and Sadie (Carrier) Wile on September 30,
1921, near Oakwood. Harry was raised in the Oakwood area
attending the Belle School until 8th grade. He
graduated in 1939 from Oakwood High School. After graduating
he moved to California where he lived with his sister,
Margaret Reagan, and worked as a mechanic. He returned to
Oakwood in 1941 and married Anita Knight on November 14,
1942, in Watonga, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the Navy from
1942 through 1945 serving in World War II in the Pacific
Fleet. After the war he returned to the Oakwood area to join
his wife and young son, Harry Wayne (Skipper). In 1953 he
and Anita welcomed a daughter, Margaret. He worked as a
propane truck driver for Boden Oil Company, as a mechanic
for Selby Minton, then as a school bus driver and mechanic
for the Oakwood Schools. After this, Harry opened his own
Volkswagen shop and garage in downtown Oakwood. Then he
retired and spent his time building and driving dunebuggies
along the South Canadian River. Harry was an avid
outdoorsman who enjoyed bass fishing and hunting. In his
later years, he enjoyed bird watching, as well as, reading
Zane Grey novels, National Geographic magazines, and books
pertaining to history. Donations may be made to the American
Cancer Society and/or the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Harry was a truly good man who loved his family dearly. He was an
excellent role model whose traits of loyalty, honesty, and
family values were extraordinary. He will be sorely missed
by all who knew and loved him.
Harry is survived by his wife, Anita Wile of Oakwood, Oklahoma; son,
Harry Wayne and wife Janelle Wile of Oakwood, Oklahoma;
daughter, Margaret and husband Roy Morris of Taloga,
Oklahoma; sister, Margaret Reagan of Monteclair, California;
seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Sadie Wile; two
brothers, Perry and Russell Wile; sister, Pansy Beck; and a
beloved grandson, Tony Wile.
Darrell Laufer
Darrell Laufer, 74, former Gotebo resident died at his
home in Weatherford Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, with his loving
family by his side.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday in the First
Baptist Church of Weatherford with burial in the Hobart Rose
Cemetery of Hobart under the direction of Ray & Martha’s
Funeral Home of Hobart.
Darrell was born June 29, 1933, in Hobart to Harry and
Iva (Gooch) Laufer.
He married Carole Collins on July 17, 1965 in Lone Grove.
He was a lifelong farmer and rancher in Gotebo until he
retired in April 2006. He moved to Weatherford 12 years ago.
Darrell was a faithful and active member of the First
Baptist Church. He was also a 50-year member of the Masonic
Lodge, was active in the Mountain View Soil Conservation
Board for over 30 years and was a 16-year member of the
Gotebo School Board.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters,
Stacey and Robert Sestak of Broken Arrow and Lori Laufer of
Stillwater; three grandchildren, Brady, Alyxandra and Jack
Sestak of Broken Arrow; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald
and Ramona Laufer of Gotebo; a sister, LaDonna Brown of
Dallas, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends

died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at her home at 4225 Heights

Clark Dahlman
Memorial services for Clark Dahlman, 86, of Weatherford, are 2 p.m.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of

He died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Weatherford Regional
Hospital.
Clark was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Thor and
Carolin (Johnson) Dahlman. Clark was raised and attended
school in Minneapolis, graduating from South High in 1939.
After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a
mapmaker in military intelligence in the European and
Pacific Theatres during World War II. Clark received the
Purple Heart.
Upon returning from the military he attended the University of
Minnesota. While going to school he met and married Sumiko
Ito on Sept. 11, 1948.
Clark worked as a civil engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers.
While in Minneapolis, Clark worked as an architectural
engineer for 13 years. He then returned to the Corps of
Engineers, residing in Michigan, Ohio, Iowa and Fort Worth,
Texas, when he retired in 1988. They moved to Weatherford in
2004.
Clark enjoyed his church activities, sang in a Barber Shop
Quartet, helped with the Boy Scouts, and enjoyed camping and
the outdoors. He loved working with wood, and made picture
frames and carved birds from wood.
Clark is survived by his wife, Sumiko Dahlman of the home in
Weatherford; two sons, David Dahlman and wife, Debbie of
Woodbury, Minn., and Peter Dahlman and wife, Debbie of
Houston, Texas; two daughters, Suzanne (Sue) Chasteen and
husband, David, of Weatherford and Tamiko Fields and
husband, Mike, of Plano, Texas; two brothers, Bertil Dahlman
and wife, Arlene, of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Eugene Dahlman
and wife, Greta, of Fairfax, Va.; a sister, Beatrice Mahoney
of Minnesota; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Russell and
Reuben; two sisters, Eleanor and Arlene; and a grandson,
Jonathan Fuller.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Mieko Takiguchi
A memorial service for Mieko Takiguchi, 83, of Japan will be
4 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of the First United Methodist Church.
Ms. Takiguchi was the older sister of Jackie Ludrick, 1223 N.
Illinois, Weatherford. Friends of Dr. John and Jackie
Ludrick are invited to attend. Visitation following the
service will take place in the church parlor.

He died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at
Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago, Ill.
Joshua was born on March 27, 1979, in
Wichita Falls, Texas to Lonnie and Deborah (Loveall) Melton.
Joshua was raised and attended school in
Colony, graduating from Washita Heights High School in 1997.
He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State
University where he graduated in 2001 with a degree in
English.
On April 22, 2000, Joshua married Natasha
Nurnberg in Corn.
They moved to San Francisco, Calif.,
where he worked as a teaching assistant and later moved to
Oklahoma City for four years working in a law office as
senior technical writer. They moved to Chicago in June 2007,
where he worked as a medical editor for the American
Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
Joshua enjoyed skate-boarding, music,
reading, writing, and traveling to the Caribbean and Mexico
with friends and family. He also loved filming and editing
videos of skateboarding and gatherings of his friends and
family.
Joshua is survived by his wife, Natasha
Melton, of Chicago; his mother, Debbie Melton of
Weatherford; two brothers, Micah Melton and wife, Carrie, of
San Francisco and Jacob Melton and wife, Amber, of Oklahoma
City; paternal grandparents, Verlin and Nadine Melton of
Colony; maternal grandmother, Jane Loveall of Oklahoma City;
uncle, Kevin Loveall and family of McCall, Idaho; mother and
father-in-law, Robert and Barbara Nurnberg of Corn; brother
and sister-in-law, Lee and Jacee Nurnberg of Corn; two
sisters-in-law, Ginnifer and husband, Michael Heinrichs, of
Yukon and Jessica Nurnberg of Denver, Colo.; a
brother-in-law, Chris Johanning of Seattle, Wash.; and
nieces and nephews, Taeler and Paisli Nurnberg and Julian
and Lydia Melton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Melton.
