Elmer Ray Allen
OCEAN SPRINGS - Elmer Ray Allen, 55, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Allen had been a resident of the Coast for the past 18 years. He was employed for many years at Ingalls Shipbuilding as a joiner/insulator and with Casino Magic in Biloxi as a shuttle bus driver. He was a member of the Mississippi Archaeology Association for over 20 years and was a member of McClellan Road Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Leanna Tesch.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Johnson Allen of Ocean Springs; his parents, Overton and Elizabeth Allen of Biloxi; a daughter, Michelle Schaffer of Chicago; a son, Robert Allen of Ohio; a brother, Paul Allen of Biloxi; and two grandchildren.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.

Aloysius Caso
Funeral: Noon Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church in Picayune.
CARRIERE - Aloysius Caso, 76, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Carriere.
Mr. Caso was a native of Newman, Calif., and a resident of Carriere. He was a master chief in the U.S. Navy and past national president of Fleet Reserve Branch 162. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Picayune.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Schmidt Caso of Carriere; a daughter, Anita Manore of Hurst, Texas; a stepdaughter, Linda Seaward of Bonaqua, Tenn.; a stepson, Ray A. Schmidt of Carriere; two brothers, Frank Caso and George Caso; five sisters, Teresa Conley, Josephine Ward, Francis Ross, Rita Lippi and Patricia Teter; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 tonight at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune with Rosary at 8 p.m. A service will be at noon Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church with burial at 3 p.m. in Biloxi National Cemetery.

Lola Cox
Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs.
GAUTIER - Lola Cox, 90, of Gautier died Saturday, October 14, 2000, in Ocean Springs, MS.
Miss Cox was born in Eupora, MS and had been a resident of Gautier for the past 6 years. She was a member of Shaw Baptist Church in Shaw, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Callie Williams Cox; and a brother, G.D. Cox, Sr.
Survivors include a sister, Pamelia Willard of Ocean Springs; a niece, Peggy Walker of Gautier; and a nephew, G.D. Cox, Jr. of Arizona.
A service will be Monday, October 16, 2000, at 1 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, MS where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery on Humphrey Farm Road, Vancleave, MS.

Joseph Downs Jr.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs.
OCEAN SPRINGS - Joseph Downs, Jr., 67, of Ocean Springs died Friday, October 13, 2000, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Downs was a native of Kentucky and had been a resident of Ocean Springs for the past 5 years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Downs was employed by General Electric Corporation in Louisville, KY for 35 years and retired in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Downs, Sr.; and a sister, Mary Wallace.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Downs of Ocean Springs; three sisters, Dorothy Wesley of Clearwater, FL, Lucille Corder of Ocean Springs and Francis Lyons of Jeffersonville, Indiana; a ephew, James Corder and his wife, Donna of Ocean Springs; and two grand nieces, Alexis Corder and Brittany Corder of Ocean Springs.
A service will be Monday, October 16, 2000, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.

Doris Elaine Favre
SAUCIER - Doris Elaine Favre, 64, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000.
Arrangements are incomplete at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, U.S. 49 North, Gulfport.

Clarence O. Gay
GULFPORT - Clarence O. Gay, age unavailable, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, in Gulfport.
Arrangements are incomplete at Lockett-Williams' Mortuary in Gulfport.

Patricia Hannaghan
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church in Gulfport.
GULFPORT - Patricia Hannaghan, 58, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Hannaghan was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louie V. McDaniel; her mother, Lena-Lou Burton; and a brother, L.V. McDaniel.
Survivors include her husband, David Hannaghan; three daughters, Sonia Renee Buckman, Kathleen Richmond and Maureen Hannaghan; a son, Richard Dale Mouring, all of Gulfport; two brothers, R.D. (Pete) McDaniel of Louisiana and Jack McDaniel of Gulfport; three sisters, Bonylan McIntyre of Gulfport, Johnnie Hudson of Jackson and Billie Alley of Bryan, Texas; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Ave., Gulfport. A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fayard Cemetery in Waveland.

Helen Marjorie Hillier
BAY ST. LOUIS - Helen Marjorie Norling Hillier of Bay St. Louis died Wednesday, October 11, 2000 following a long illness. A native of Pasco, Washington, Mrs. Hillier was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the past six years.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Robert K. Hillier; his wife, Nora, and a daughter, Katherine, all of Pass Christian.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial donations to the Hancock Medical Center Foundation, P.O. Box 2790, Bay St. Louis, MS 39521-2700.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.

Effie M. Hinkle
Funeral: Graveside at 2 p.m. today at Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville.
LOUISVILLE, Miss. - Effie M. Hinkle, 88, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Louisville.
Mrs. Hinkle was a native of Crawford and a member of Crawford Methodist Church. She attended Franklin Academy in Columbus and lived in Lowndes County most of her life. She was a homemaker and helped operate her husband's store in Crawford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Hinkle; and her parents, James Leon Pratt and Zora Mullins.
Survivors include two daughters, Sara Hines of Brooksville and Liz White of Louisville; two sons, Walter "Sonny" Hinkle of Gulfport and James M. "Jimmy" Hinkle of Columbus; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. today at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon with a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville.
The family prefers memorials to one's favorite charity.

Cornelia Moore
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home Chapel in Ocean Springs.
VANCLEAVE - Cornelia Moore, 72, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Moore was a native and lifelong resident of Vancleave. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leola Marandy Moore; a son, Napoleon Moore Jr.; and two sisters, Velma Forehand and Molly Brown.
Survivors include her husband, Napoleon Moore of Vancleave; eight daughters, Jenny Foster, Gaynell Bangs, Kay Thorp, Bessie Bennett, Lee Etta Smith, all of Vancleave, Edna Leverne Moore of Ocean Springs, Rachel Lizana of Pascagoula and Mary Ann Houston of Lucedale; two sons, Jerry Moore of Pascagoula and Leroy Moore of Vancleave; a brother, Millard Bangs of Vancleave; 23 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. A service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Beulah Cemetery.

Man Van Pham
Funeral: 9:30 a.m. today at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel, 25th Avenue, Gulfport.
GULFPORT - Man Van Pham, 38, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mr. Pham was a native of Vietnam and had been a resident of Gulfport for two years. He was employed with Yeager's Grocery Store.
He was preceded in death by his father, Go Pham.
Survivors include his wife, Diep Tran Pham; two daughters, Diana Pham and Darlene Pham, all of Gulfport; his mother, Cat Truong of Vietnam; two brothers, Joe Pham of Chicago and Long Pham of Vietnam; and a sister, Nhiem Mroz of South Elgin, Ill.
A service will be at 9:30 a.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000 at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel, 25th Avenue, Gulfport.

Deborah Rene Phelps
BILOXI - Deborah Rene Phelps, 44, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, in Biloxi.
Arrangements are incomplete at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.

William D. Saucier Sr.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Riemann Funeral Home Chapel, 25th Ave., Gulfport.
GULFPORT - William D. Saucier, SR., 61, resident of Gulfport, MS died on Thursday, October 12, 2000 in Niceville, FL.
Mr. Saucier is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Saucier; a brother, James Saucier; and a son, Joseph Darius Saucier. Mr. Saucier is survived by his sons, William D. Saucier, JR. of Niceville, FL, Denton Thompson and Dale Thompson, both of Gulfport, MS.
Mr. Saucier retired from the US Army after serving 20 years and served during the Vietnam War. At the time of his death, Mr. Saucier was the maintenance supervisor for Riemann Funeral Homes on the Gulf Coast.
Visitation will be tonight at Riemann Funeral Home on 25th Avenue from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 17, 2000, in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. with burial at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 182-A DeBuys Road, Biloxi, MS 39531-4402.

Blanche Slank
Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel in Long Beach.
LONG BEACH - Blanche "Bunny" Slank, 61, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Heflin, Ala.
Mrs. Slank was a native of Town of Dewitt, N.Y., and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1990. She was a graduate of East Syracuse High School in New York, a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Unit 311 and president of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3937 in Long Beach. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of East Syracuse and Long Beach Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Cavanaugh, and a brother, Bob Cavanaugh.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Slank of Long Beach; her mother, Nellie Cavanaugh of Town of Dewitt; and two sisters, Elizabeth Benedict of Bridgeport, N.Y., and Jane E. Hampton of Gofftown, N.H.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel in Long Beach. A service will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Biloxi National Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials to the American Lung Association.

Suzanne Marie Swann
Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Community Baptist Church in Gulfport.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Suzanne Marie Swann, 43, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, in Corpus Christi.
Survivors include a daughter, Maria Castillo of Corpus Christi; her mother, Catherine Sarthou of Las Vegas; three sisters, Barbara Cornwell of California, Irene Weston and Cathy McKee, both of Vancleave; a brother, David Swann of New Orleans.
A service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Community Baptist Church on Landon Road in Gulfport. Seaside Funeral Home in Corpus Christi is in charge of arrangements.

Hazel Wagers
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Indianfield Methodist Church.
HURLEY - Hazel Wagers, 86, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Hurley.
Ms. Wagers was born March 15, 1914, in South Carolina and was a resident of Hurley. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include a son, Danny Wagers of Hurley; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home in St. George, S.C. A service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Indianfield Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa is in charge of local arrangements.
