William John Donovan
DONOVAN, William John, recently celebrated 62 years of marriage to his beloved Jean (nee Rosselot). He was a devoted father of Pattie Sherrill (David), Jeanie LeRoy, Bill (Jayne), Kevin, Eileen Barrett (Jim), Terry (Linda), Bridget Sheehey (Phil), and Noreen Eyre (Bruce). Cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, with family spread all over the world. He is also survived by one brother Robert. Saturday, January 13, 2007. Bill is a WWII veteran who was shot-down while co-piloting his B-24 over France in August 1944. He was forever grateful to the French Resistance for his rescue. Bill retired from Fisher Body, Hamilton. He will always be remembered for his integrity, honesty, intelligence, and humility. His strong faith and sense-of-humor will live on in his many survivors. Funeral mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Greenhills.
