Peter Racutt
Funeral services for Peter Racutt, 75, Coon Rapids, took place June 22
at Olive Branch Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Richard Lindemann
officiated. Racutt died June 19. He was born March 29, 1923. He was a
lithographer and a member of Coon Rapids American Legion Post.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Bradley and Elizabeth Racutt,
Curtis Racutt, David Axell; daughters, Valarie and Dick Owens,
Diane Hendrickson, Karen and John Brajdich; grandchildren, Bradley C.,
Ashley M., Robert H., Charles, Joshua, Kara and Jacob; brother,
Andrew "Wink" Racutt; and sister, Helen Morofka. Pallbearers were
Bradley Racutt, John Brajdich, David Axell, and Charles, Joshua and
Dick Owens. Interment
was private. Arrangements were by the Washburn-
McReavy Seman Chapel.
Eli Dwaine Deshayes
Funeral services for Eli Dwaine Deshayes, 9 days, Ramsey, took place
June 24 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Revs. Paul Schmelzer
and Bernard Reiser officiated. He died June 22 at Children's Hospital,
Minneapolis. He was born at Mercy Hospital June 13, the son of Todd
and Clorinda Deshayes.
He is survived by his parents, Todd and Clorinda Deshayes; sisters,
Samantha and Danielle; grandparents, Dorothy Deshayes, Doris Knott
and Clifton King; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers were
Kurt Deshayes and Randal Goldenstein. Interment
was at Calvary Cemetery,
Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Lila Mae Johnson
Funeral services for Lila Mae Johnson, 70, Ham Lake, will take place in
the spring in Hawthorne, Wis.
Johnson died Jan. 7 at Mercy Hospital. She was born March 9, 1930 in Park
River, N.D., to Hellek Hellekson and Jennie Staven.
She is survived by her sisters, Alice Iverson of Park River, N.D., Helen
Schmidt of Superior, Wis., Harriet Puls of Medford, Ore., Gladys Tidemand
of Klamath Falls, Ore.; brother, Ole Hellekson of Salanis, Calif; niece,
Jane Melland and husband Lynn of Ham Lake; many nieces and nephews; and
other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; sister, Gunda Sanderson;
brother, Helmer Hellekson; and infant brother, Richard.
Interment
will be in Hawthorne, Wis., Arrangements are by
Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Shirley Jurva
Funeral services for Shirley Jurva, 57, Big Lake, took place Jan. 9 at
Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Tom Wilson officiated.
Jurva died Jan. 5 in Coon Rapids. She was born Feb. 25, 1943 in Grenville,
S.D., and was employed in production/assembly.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; children, Michelle Capps and Dave
Lasker; son Ronney and daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Capps; grandchildren,
David, Angel, Sugar, Adam and Johnathon Lee; father, Marvin Wojcik Sr.;
five brothers; six sisters; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Amanda Wojcik; sister, Della
Herrick; niece, Carla Hauck; and grandson, Garrick Lasker.
Pallbearers were David Lasker Jr., Rick Hauck, Scott and Steven Arndt,
Marvin Wojcik and Pat Fosness.
Interment
was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by

Duane Keller
Funeral services for Duane Keller, 58, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 5 at
Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bernard Reiser officiated.
Keller died Dec. 31 in Fridley. He was born Aug. 30, 1942 in Breckenridge
and was a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou; mother, Lucille Keller; brothers,
Kenneth (Louisa), Allen (Marlene), Gordon (Wendy); sisters, Kathleen
(Roger) Bagley, Darlene (Dennis) Stewart; many nieces and nephews; and
other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norbert; grandparents, Otto and
Amelia Keller, Albert and Josephine Lehmann; godson, Michael Rahrlien; and
great-nephew, Ryan Keller.
Pallbearers were Tammy and Steven Olson, Mark, Jerry and Chad Keller,
Jessica Rahrlien, Jamie Stewart, and Brian Bagley.

Steven D. Nordberg
Funeral services for Steven D. Nordberg, 39, Big Lake, took place Jan. 9
at Nowthen Alliance Church. Rev. Dave Van Wingerden officiated.
Nordberg died Jan. 4 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Jan. 30, 1961 in
Minneapolis to Dale E. Nordberg and Roselyn H. Olsen. He was a
self-employed computer programmer.
He is survived by his wife, Denise; children, Erin, Emily and Eric;
mother, Roselyn Nordberg; sister, Judy Nordberg; brother, David Nordberg
and wife Pamela; nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Kallie, Rachel and Leyton;
and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey and Mark Bohren, David Nordberg, Craig Forsman,
Brian Humphrey and Don Olson.

Anthony L. Perkins
Funeral services for Anthony L Perkins, 58, East Bethel, took place Jan. 4
at Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Perkins died on Dec. 31. He was born Oct. 18, 1942 to Bertis and Lola
Perkins. He was a minister.
He is survived by his wife, Elva Jean Perkins; son, Anthony L. Perkins Jr.
(Cheryl); daughter, Lana Navarro (Mark); and grandchildren, Jonathan,
Ashley, Jessica, Anthony III, Jenna and Briana.
Interment
was in Cushing, Texas. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral
Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Carole J. Russell
Funeral services for Carole J. Russell, 74, Ramsey, took place Jan. 11 at
Thurston-Lindberg Chapel, Ramsey. Rev. Jerry Smith officiated.
Russell died Jan. 7 at her daughter’s home in Ramsey. She was born June
23, 1926 in Little Falls to John and Cora (Smethurst) Glasgow.
She is survived by her sons, Peter (Bev) Russell of Plymouth, David
(Michelle) Russell of Ogilvie; daughter, Susan (Bill) Stevenson of Ramsey;
seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nephews, Mike (Sheila)
Russell of Ohio, Ron (Leanne) Richards of Crystal; others nieces and
nephews; and dear friends, Ron and Karen Ross of Ramsey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester B. Russell.
Pallbearers were Bill and Jeff Stevenson, Chad and Shannon Russell and Ron
Ross.

Eldon A. Shaffer
Cremation services for Eldon A. Shaffer, 73, Spring Lake Park, took place.
Shaffer died Dec. 24 at his home. He was born June, 17, 1927 to Warren A.
Shaffer and Garnett May Peckham. He was a retired railroad rate clerk.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne.

Selma V. Smith
Funeral services for Selma V. Smith, 99, Coon Rapids, formerly of Anoka,
took place Jan. 6 at Anoka United Methodist Church. Rev. Ken Rice
officiated.
Smith died Jan. 1 at Park River Estates Care Center, Coon Rapids. She was
born July 29, 1901 in Wayne, Neb., to Marshall J. and Christine Anderson.
She was the retired head cook for District 15 in St. Francis.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Wayne) Swing of Coon Rapids;
granddaughters, Sally (Tom) Talle of Glenwood; and many nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlo; parents; two
half-brothers; and three brothers.
Pallbearers were Tom Talle, Ralph, Gerald and Basil Anderson, Dean Swing
and Clair Gilbertson.
Interment
was at West Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove. Arrangements were by

Talena R. Terrell
Memorial services for Talena R. Terrell, 17, Ham Lake, took place Jan. 6
at Majestic Oaks.
Terrell died Dec. 30 in an automobile accident. She was born Jan. 15, 1983
in Ham Lake to Warren and Tammy Kvistberg.
She is survived by her husband, Jordan Terrell; parents, Warren and Tammy
Kvistberg; grandparents, Don and Becky Gibbons, Gary Kvistberg, Lorraine
Anderson; great-grandmother, Marvel Mathison; brothers, Amos and Kyle;

Imogene M. Toffel
Funeral services for Imogene M. Toffel, 84, Golden Valley, took place Jan.

Toffel died Jan. 2 at Trevilla of Golden Valley Home, Golden Valley. She
was born Sept. 9, 1916 in Owatonna to Stephen L. and Emma M (Anderson)
Kubiatowicz.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Washburn of
Ramsey; grandson, Steven Bassett of Big Lake; great-grandchildren, Joseph
and Cassandra Washburn; and daughter-in-law, Carol Bassett of
Stewartville.
Pallbearers were Alan and Curtis Frank, Steve Bassett and Jeffrey
Washburn.

Erik S. Turbenson
Funeral services for Erik S. Turbenson, 17, Andover, took place Jan. 6 at
Grace Lutheran Church, Andover. Rev. Mark Hellmann officiated.
Turbenson died Jan. 2 at his home. He was born Sept. 21, 1983 in Coon
Rapids to Steven and Susan Turbenson and was a student.
He is survived by his parents, Steve and Sue Turbenson; sisters, Amy and
Lori; grandmothers, Opal Turbenson and Katy Benson; aunts, uncles and
cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Hiram Turbenson and Carl
Benson.
Interment

Donald L. Ziegler
Funeral services for Donald L. Ziegler, 79, Anoka, took place Jan. 3 at
Oak Grove Cemetery, Port Byron, Ill. Memorial services will take place at
a later date.
Ziegler died on Dec. 29. He was born on Aug. 10, 1921 in Rock Island,
Ill., to George Henry Ziegler and Mable O. Beach. He was retired teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and
Stephen Perry and Cindy and Al Buttler; and grandchildren, Andy and Meghan
Buttler.
Interment
was at Oak Grove Cemetery, Port Byron. Arrangements were by
