ALPHONSE W. HERZOG

Alphonse (Al) W. Herzog, of Chanhassen, died on Nov. 24, 1998, at the age of 69. He suffered from brain cancer.
Born and raised on a dairy farm in Stearns County, he graduated from Iowa State. He was married for 41 years and raised six children in Eden Prairie. After 30 years, he retired from Hennepin County as a highway design engineer. He volunteered his time at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen and was an active member of St. Hubert Catholic Community.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary. He is survived by his sister, Sr. Aaronette, of St. Cloud; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Bill Johnson, of Andover, Ann and Lance Herzog-Olson, of Minnetonka, and Julie and Keith Goetz, of Carver; sons and daughter-in-law, Bill Herzog, of Oak Grove, and John and Helen Herzog, of Shakopee; grandchildren, Greg, Mark, Jane, Grace, Wes, and Luke.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Nov. 28 at St. Hubert. Interment was at St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

EVELYN WARTMAN-BROWN
(Published: February 15, 1999)
Evelyn Wartman-Brown, age 79, of Livermore, Calif., and formerly of Chanhassen, died Feb. 6, 1999.
Born in Chanhassen in 1919, she was a retired interior decorator.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence "Doc" Brown; son, Brian Wartman; daughters, Colette Christensen and Patricia Moran; sisters, Marie Nein, Sally Koehnen, Florence Dueffert, Luella Neidenfeuhr and Myra Hensel; brothers, Daniel, Al and Thomas Klingelhutz; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bruno Wartman in 1996.
Services were held on Wednesday at St. Michael's Church in Livermore.

ETHEL D. NOTERMANN
Ethel D. Notermann, age 81, of Victoria, died on Feb. 7, 1999, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.
She was born on Sept. 10, 1917, in Chaska, to William and Elsie (Lunner) Schroers. And she was baptized and confirmed at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Chaska. She was a graduate of Guardian Angels High School. On June 4, 1940, she married John A. Notermann at Guardian Angels.
She was preceded in death by husband, John; son, Michael William Notermann; granddaughter, Kristy Kay Schmakel; parents, William and Elsie Schroers; sister, Florence Engel; and brothers, Laurel, Jim and Harold Schroers.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Carol Notermann, of Chaska, Stan Notermann, of Chanhassen, Paul and Lucy Notermann, of Randolph, Bill Notermann, of Chanhassen; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Allan Boegeman, of Prior Lake, Karen and Dale Schmakel, of Chaska, Diane Aretz, of Waconia, Kathy and Mike Reishus, of Willmar, Susan and Dan Hilgers, of Waconia, Mary Hart, of Eagan, Ann and Gene Miller, of Owatonna; Donna and Doug Korum, of Chanhassen; 41 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Lucy Claesgens, of Highland, Ind., Gladys and Cy Ess, of Shakopee, Bernice Dellwo, of Shakopee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Pat Schroers, of Burnsville, Wilbur and Pat Schroers, of Shakopee, George and Jean Schroers, of Chanhassen, Wilsa Schroers, of San Jose, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Frances Gunnerson, of Wayzata, Theresa Koniar, of Minneapolis; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 10 at St. Victoria Catholic Church in Victoria with Father Bob White officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.

JOHN WILLIAM HANLON
(Published: September 30, 1999)
John William Hanlon, age 59, of Chanhassen, died Sept. 22, 1999, in Robbinsdale.
Self-employed in the investment planning industry, he is survived by his wife, Kay; sons, Todd and Stephen; daughter and son-in-law, Lissa and Shawn Muehlberg; granddaughters, Bridget and Macy Muehlberg; sisters, Marge Maloney and Dorie Hatlestad; brother, Gary Hanlon; nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service was held on Sept. 27 at Huber Funeral Home in Eden Prairie. A private interment followed.

J. DOUG KELM
J. Doug Kelm, age 76, of Chanhassen, died Sept. 20, 1999, of a brain aneurysm while vacationing in Canada.
Kelm, whose father Elmer was the founding chairman of the Minnesota DFL Party, was the former chairman of the Metropolitan Transit Commission and worked on the presidential campaigns for Hubert Humphrey in the 1960s.
In the late 1970s, he was appointed regional director of the U.S. Department of Transportation in Chicago. In the 1980s, he joined North State Advisors, Inc., a Minneapolis lobbying firm.
Kelm was born in Chanhassen.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie; sons, Bill, Jeff, Greg and Brian; daughter, Patty Jo Foley; sister, Mickey; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at St. Mark's Catholic Church in St. Paul on Sept. 27.

Elinor W. Kerber

Elinor W. Kerber, 95 of Gaylord, died Tuesdya May 30, 2000 at the Gaylord Lakeview Home.
Services were June 3 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Gaylord with burial in St. Hubert's Catholic Cemetery in Chanhassen.
She is survived by daughters and son-in-law Maxine S. Zellmann of Gaylord, Emma S. "Lou" and Winfree L. Brown of Texas; step-sons and their spouses Walter and Patricia Kerber of Winsted, Henry and Kathleen Kerber of Vermont; step-son-in-law and spouse Virgil and Pat Seifert of Eden Prairie; bother and sisters-in-law Jerome C. and Hazel Wendt of Chanhassen, Mildred Wendt of Spring Park; 25 grandchildren, many great- and great-great-grandchildren, neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, step-daughter Laura Mae Seifert; great-grandson Daniel Wendt Walker; brother Howard C. Wendt; sisters Harriet Howard, Ruth Wendt.
She was born March 25, 1905 in Dougherty, Iowa to Carl F. and Anna (Anhalt) Wendt. She was a 1921 graduate of Becker High School and attended St. Cloud Teacher College for two years. She completed her degree through correspondence. She taught in rural schools and the public schools in Excelsior. She married Raymond Seamons Feb. 14, 1931 in Excelsior. Seamons died in 1968. She married Charles Kerber Aug. 28, 1970 in Excelsior. Kerber died in 1986, She made her home in Excelsior and Chanhassen before moving to Gaylord six years ago.

Charlotte B. Wilcox
Charlotte B. Wilcox, 80 of West Acres, Waconia died May 28, 2000 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Services were held May 31 at the West Acres Chapel in Waconia.
She is survived by her husband Donald; children and their spouses Ethel and Curtis "Pete Nelson of Victoria, Grant and Janice Wilcox of Brainerd, Mary and James Ebert of Bemidji; seven grandchildren; sister Dorothy Steingraeber of Florida; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Nyal Wilcox of Soiux Falls, S.D., Maxine and Ward Michaelson of Georgia; neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sister Jane Ostergaard; brother Howard Hoberg, Sr.
She was born Aug. 8, 1919 in Boyd to Henry and Anna (Nelson) Hoberg. She married Donald L. Wilcox Aug. 31, 1940 in Hardington, Neb.

Jacque Lee Holasek
Jacque Lee Holasek, 54 of Chanhassen died May 31, 2000 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.
Services were held June 5 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie with burial in Shady Oak Cemetery in Minnetonka.
She is survived by her husband George; daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Jeff Swanson; garndchildren JAck and Lindsey Swanson; step-son Paul Holasek; mother Peggy Patton; sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Richard Lockrem; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald Fontaine, and step-father Pat Patton.
She was born April 27, 1946 in Fridley to Donald and Peggy (Hansen) Fontaine. She was an office manager of Burgett's, Inc., and Eden Prairie cabinet company.
In lieu of flowers, her family prefers memorials to the Jane Bratton Breast Cancer Foundation, or, the Shriner's Children's Hospital.

Oldenburg
Vernon F. (Pete) Oldenburg, 56, of Jordan, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999, at his home. Funeral service was Feb. 20 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jordan, Reverend Robert Bushaw officiating. The Jordan Veterans Honor Guard provided military honors.
He was born August 2, 1942 at Shakopee, the son of Verne and Clara (Voigt) Oldenburg. On August 15, 1964, he married Pat (Glynn) Oldenburg at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jordan.
He worked at Cargill for 34 years as a truck and barge loader. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Prior Lake V.F.W. He was an avid Jordan Brewers fan and a sports fan of all kinds. He enjoyed many things; playing with his grandson, gardening roses, collecting hats, polka music and listening to the St. Paul Lutheran Church broadcast. He was a card player and he enjoyed time in his garage tinkering and building things.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clarence and Virgil Oldenburg; sisters, Ruth Seurer and Lyda Oldenburg.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Oldenburg of Jordan; son, Marty and fiancee Nicole Berg of Prior Lake; daughter Brenda and husband Tharon Strange of Chaska; brothers Marvin (Myrtle) of Prior Lake, Elmer (Marion) of Jordan, Lawrence (MaryAnn) of Chaska, Ronald (Sharry) of Mound, Howard (JoAnn) of Raytown, Mo., sister Marlys (Frank) Richardson of Chaska; grandson, Loren Michael Oldenburg (mother Kimberly) of Bloomington; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Casketbearers were LeRoy Seurer, Steve Glynn, Jeff Glynn, Nick Rhodes, J.R. Jones, and Josh Friendshuh. Interment was at Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan.
Arrangements were with the Ballard Funeral Home, Jordan.

Olson
Kim Lew Olson, 45, of Chaska, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. Funeral service was held Feb. 21 at Crown of Glory Lutheran Church in Chaska, Reverend Warren L. Jorenby officiating.
He was born Feb. 2, 1954, at Granite Falls, the son of Dale L. and Charlene R. (Weisel) Olson. He was baptized Feb. 28, 1954, at the home of his grandparents near Wood Lake, by Reverend H. Hegre. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Granite Falls.
On Sept. 6, 1997, he married Mary J. Lahr at Crown of Glory Lutheran Church in Chaska, by Reverend Karl Nyline. He treasured his wife and children. Giving surprise gifts and planning fun events were his specialty. The Olson house was a magnet for neighborhood children of all ages as they were always welcomed. He was a dedicated and hard working employee of Empak for over 17 years, a loyal company man who appreciated all the opportunities and care Empak gave to him, especially in his time of ill health. He enjoyed flower gardening with Mary. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, football, working on cars and trucks, drag racing with the boys and "57" Chevy's. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Charlene Olson; infant brother, Scott Olson; grandparents, Lewis and Dora Olson, and Elmer Weisel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerome and Almira Lahr.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Jolene and Matthew Olson, Daniel and Michelle Teubert; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bradley and Linda Olson of Waconia, Jeffrey and Darlene Olson of Elk River; nieces and nephews, Charlene, Michael, Holly and Jacleen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Al Klein of Mayer, Kathy and Neil Schmidt of Lakeshore, Jerry and Sue Lahr of Waconia, John Lahr and fiancee Carol Holsworth of Norwood Young America; grandmother, Beulah Christensen of Dalton Gardens, Idaho; aunts and uncles, Delores and Ralph Helgeson of Wood Lake, Harold and Barbara Olson of Spicer, Joyce and Gerald Lewison of Granite Falls, Janet and Eugene McCoy of Arvada, Colo., Kathy and Ron Hall of Spokane, Wash.; cousins, other relatives and friends.
Casketbearers were Bradley Olson, Jeffrey Olson, Jerry Lahr, John Lahr, Tommy Lewison, Bruce Helgeson, Brett Bibeau, Jeffrey Holsworth. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Chaska.
Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.

Feltmann
John Gerhard Feltmann, 89, of Norwood Young America, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999. Funeral service was held Feb. 20 at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Bongards, Reverend Rod Slessor officiating. The organist was Penny Rolf. The congregational hymns were "Sing With All the Sons of Glory" and "O Master Let Me Walk With Thee." The St. Johns choir sang "Just Say I've Gone Home."
He was born Jan. 27, 1910, in Young America Township, the son of Gerhard and Anna (Wolter) Feltmann. He was baptized at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Bongards on March 6, 1910 by Reverend J. Rosenau. He was later confirmed at St. Johns by Reverend Rosenau on April 5, 1925. He attended Central Grade School in Norwood.
On Dec. 2, 1931, he was united in marriage with Rosella Heckmann at St. Pauls Evangelical Reformed Church of Hamburg by Reverned O.J. Vriesen. The couple made their home in Young America Township where they farmed. In 1985 they moved to a home in Norwood. He was a lifelong member of St. Johns Church in Bongards where he served on the Consistory and many other committees. He enjoyed gatherings with his family especially at Christmas and birthdays. He liked watching baseball, fishing and hunting, playing cards and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosella; son-in-laws, Glenn Vogel and Rev. Darrel Thalmann; sister, Lydia Kloempken; brother, Fred Feltmann; and grandson-in-law, Jim Ham.
Survivors include his children, Janet Vogel of Chaska, Donald Feltmann and wife Shirley of Hamburg, Dorothy Meuwissen and husband Ken of Las Vegas, Nev., Orland Feltmann and wife Shirley of Bloomington, Gerald "Jerry" Feltmann and wife Mary of Bloomington, Derald Feltmann and wife Floy of Shakopee, Judy Wiechman and husband Jere of Barnes, Kan.; 27 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren; in-laws, Esther Beringer of Glencoe, Harvey and Orvilla Heckmann of Hamburg, John Miller of Watertown, Rollie Demm of Watertown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Casketbearers were Steve Vogel, Larry Vogel, Randy Feltmann, Rick Feltmann, Richard Meuwissen, Bruce Maschke, Scott Feltmann and Jeff Feltmann. Interment was in the St. Johns United Church of Christ Cemetery in Bongards.
Arrangements were with the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel, Norwood Young America.

Meuleners
Francis D. Meuleners, 45, of Norwood Young America, died Friday, February 19, 1999, as a result of an automobile accident on Highway 212 in Young America Township. Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 22 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Cologne, Father George Thoomkuzhy officiating.
He was born July 31, 1955, at Shakopee, the son of Francis W. and Rose M. (Hammers) Meuleners. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Cologne.
On Oct. 24, 1981, he married Barbara J. Kohman at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Chaska. He was employed at Deli Express in Eden Prairie. He loved taking his children on outings. He was a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Aid Society and they prayed at Rosary for him at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brothers, Joseph and Linus Meuleners; father-in-law, Gerald Kohman; brother-in-law, Roger Kaufhold; nephew, Daniel Kaufhold.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; children, Jenny, Mark and Heather; brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Donna Meuleners of Cologne; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Kaufhold of Chaska, Rose and Jerry Breeggemann of Shakopee, Barbara and Darrell Knorr of Cologne, Audrey and James Haus of St. Michael, mother-in-law, Valencia Kohman of Chaska; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Kohman of Chaska, Robert Kohman of Chaska, Cindy Hardy of Chaska, Laurie and Dennis Duff of Shakopee, Ginger and Kenny Venske of Chaska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Casketbearers were Jerry Breeggemann, Darrell Knorr, Kenny Venske, Larry Mueller, Richard Stoeckman and Douglas Sohns. Interment was at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Cologne.

Pexa
Lucille E. Pexa, 59, of New Prague, died Wednesday, February 19, 1999, at Princeton. Funeral service was Feb. 23 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague, Father George Freeman officiating.
She was born Oct. 3, 1939, at Chaska, the daughter of Thomas V. and Hildegard (Peters) Myskevitz. She attended Guardian Angels Elementary and Chaska High School.
On Nov. 4, 1961, she married Joseph F. Pexa, Jr. in Chaska. The couple moved to New Prague shortly after being married. She was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary for the Scott County Highway Department.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas V. Myskevitz; infant son, Mark Joseph Pexa.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph; children, Scott J. (Kelly) Pexa of New Prague, Christine E. (Jim) Jirik of Kilkenny, Laura L. (David) Stenson of New Prague, Jon T. (Tamara) Pexa of New Prague, Michael E. (Katie) Pexa of New Prague; eight grandchildren; sisters, Marlene (William) Paal of Chaska, Joan (Rick) Coutts of Las Vegas, Nev., Shirley (Bill) Lockwood of Cedar, Mary Lou (Gary) Frey of Jordan; mother, Hildegard Myskevitz of Chaska; parents-in-law, Joseph and Helen Pexa of New Prague.
Casketbearers were Bill Lockwood, Bill Paal, Bill Jirik, Keith Setterstrom, Tom Pexa, Rick Coutts. Interment was at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in New Prague.
Arrangements were with the Bruzek Funeral Home, New Prague.

Lane
Marland Victor Lane, 95, of Chaska, died Friday, February 19, 1999, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. Funeral service was held Feb. 22 at the Chaska Moravian Church, Chaska, Reverend Clark Pfaff officiating.
He was born Feb. 20, 1903, at Winnebago, the son of Alton and Glee (Wise) Lane, one of eight children. He was baptized in the Huntley Baptist Church, Huntley, and attended the Huntley Consolidated School.
On August 24, 1927, he married Fern Wood at Fairmont. They had two sons, Duane and Rollin. They resided in Huntley until 1982 when they moved to Chaska. He had been a truck driver most of his adult life and also had been a school bus driver in Huntley for 35 years. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and was known for his good sense of humor. He was a member of the Chaska Moravian Church and had been a resident of the Waconia Good Samaritan Center in Waconia since 1997. His wife Fern died in January of 1995.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Rollin; brothers, Elmo, Ertle and Hayden Lane; and sister, Twyla Hodge.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Donnabelle Lane of Chaska, Margaret Lane of New Brighton; brothers, Verlyn Lane of Blue Earth, Avon Lane of Warrington, Pa.; sister, Elva Sheplee of Cokato; 12 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren.
Casketbearers were Timothy Lane, James Tjernlund, Andrew Lane, David Lane, Benjamin Lane and Michael Lane. Honorary casketbearers were Peter Lane, Douglas Lane, Emmanuel Lane and Kevin Lane. Cremation was at Lakewood Crematory in Minneapolis. Inurnment was at Center Creek Cemetery, Martin County.
Arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home, Chaska.

Griepentrog
Laura E. Griepentrog, 96 of Chaska, died Friday, October 1, 1999 at Beverly Healthcare in Excelsior. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 4, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Chaska.
She was born on September 17, 1903 at Waconia Township to Gottlieb and Eliza (Splettstoesser) Gatz, one of 16 children. On January 22, 1927 she was married to Walter R. Griepentrog in Waconia. They had one son. They farmed in the Chanhassen area until 1953, when they moved to Waconia.
She owned and operated Laura's Beauty Salon until 1969 when she retired. She then moved to Litchfield, where they lived for 10 years until returning to Carver County in the late 1970's. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, knitting and keeping a neat and tidy home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R.; son, Walter D. (Wally); five brothers; and nine sisters.
Survivors include her sister, Helen Schmidt of Waconia; daughter-in-law, Joann Griepentrog of Eden Prairie; grandsons, Joel of Lakeland, Fla., and Dennis of Chaska.
Casketbearers were Wayne Schmidt, Roy Schmidt, Mark Gutzke, Gary Gutzke, Alvin Burandt and Larry Burandt.
Burial was at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Chaska.
Arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home, Chaska.

Tattenberg
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 6 for Elizabeth K. Tattenberg, age 83 of Norwood\Young America. She died on Sunday, October 3, 1999, at her home.
She was born on February 3, 1916 at Benton Township in Carver County, the daughter of Henry and Cresancie (Siegle) Wittsack. She was baptized (1916), confirmed (1929), and married (1936) at St. John's United Church of Christ in Bongards. She was married to Walter E. Tattenberg for 49 years.
She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and raising her daughter and grandchildren. She was always a stronghold for them. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, playing cards, cooking and baking. She enjoyed her church and was an avid member of the Womens Guild. She made afghans, latchrugs and did lots of crafts to give to others. She was employed as a cook at the Norwood Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; and a daughter, Joyce Lenzen.

Casketbearers were, Larry Wittsack, Lyle Wittsack, Michael Eggers, Mark Eggers, Dennis Buehler and James Herrmann.
Interment was at St. John's United Church of Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Bongards.

Fritz
Elmer R. Fritz, 87, of Lakeville, died on Friday, July 21, 2000 at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, July 24, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Cologne, Father George Thoomkuzhy officiating.
He was born Feb. 25, 1913 at Cologne, the son of Edward and Mary (Schneider) Fritz. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Cologne.
On May 27, 1939, he married Zita K. Wickenhauser at St. Bernard's.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Wilbert, Rueben, George, Ronald and Robert; and a sister, Lorena Kamann.
Survivors include his wife, Zita; sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Mary Ellen Fritz of Apple Valley, David Fritz of Webster, James Fritz of New Market, Thomas and Kathleen Fritz of New Trier; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and David Bond of Prior Lake; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Millie Unterburger of Shakopee, Verna Mae Jensen of Burnsville; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Verna Fritz, George Kamann of Norwood Young America, Florence Fritz of Minneapolis, Theresa Fritz of Chaska, Wanda Ruzicka of Prior Lake, Ursella and Norbert Brinkhaus of Robbinsdale, Reseda Wickenhauser of Cologne; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Casketbearers were grandsons, Edward, Robert, David, Christopher, Thomas, Joseph and Jeremy Fritz and Jacob, Adam and Alex Bond.
Honorary Casketbearers were granddaughters, Laura Wensman, Mary Gustafson, Debra Gieseke, and Tina Potter.
Interment was at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Cologne.
Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.

Ebert
Cordelia A. Ebert, 86, of St. Bonifacius, died Monday, July 24, 2000 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, July 26, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, St. Bonifacius, Father James T. Livingston officiated.
She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius.
On June 9, 1936 she was married to Edward H. Ebert at St. Boniface Catholic Church by Father Albert Heer.
She was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Aid Council, St. Boniface Altar Society, St. Boniface Quilting Circle, St. Boniface Senior Citizens, and the Funeral Committee. St. Boniface Senior Citizens held a rosary service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by husband Edward; great-grandson Joshua Ebert; brothers, Clarence, Felix, and Andrew Logelin; sisters, Julia Beaver, Rose Wiosky, Cecelia Eder, and Caroline Geyen.
Survivors include her children and spouses, Dennis and Margaret Ebert of Brooklyn Center, James and Betty Ebert of Waconia, Rosemary and Gerald Luebke of Minnetonka, Judy and Dave Kaczmarek of Hayfield, Duane and Nancy Ebert of Waconia; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Nora Vogel of Chaska; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Roman and Cecelia Ebert of St. Bonifacius, Leona Schuler of Mound, Elvira and Othmar Kirsch of Waconia, Frances Born of Chaska, Peggy Ebert of Hutchinson, Beatrice and Ray Sicheneder of St. Bonifacius, Genevieve Ebert of Waconia, Vera Ebert of Montgomery, Marvin Geyen of Mound; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Casketbearers were Michael, Patrick, Steve, Scott Ebert, Bryan Luebke, Joseph Ebert.
Honorary Casketbearers were granddaughters, Sara Ebert and Stacy Kaczmarek.
Interment was at the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, St. Bonifacius.
Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.

Lebens
Karen L. (Petraska) Lebens, 67, of Shakopee, died due to cancer on Monday, July 24, 2000 at the Bethel Care Center in St. Paul. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held (today) Thursday, July 27, 11 a.m., at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Shakopee, Father William Stolzman will officiate.
She was born May 19, 1933 at Chaska, to Albert and Lucy (Schlesky) Petraska. On Nov. 8, 1952 she married Ernie Lebens at Guardian Angels Church in Chaska.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed planting and raising flowers, she loved playing with her grandchildren, and spending time at home with her family and pets.
She was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Lucy; and brother, Oliver Petraska.
Survivors include her husband, Ernie; children, Nancy (Michael) Koch of Shakopee, Lynn (David) Denison of Shakopee, Michael Lebens of Shakopee, Patrick (Donna) Lebens of Shakopee; seven grandchildren, Ryan Koch, Justin, Amanda and Heidi Lebens, Jason, Jenna and Jeremy Lebens; sisters, Phyllis (Russell) Rinker, Delphine (Ralph) Burns, Barbara (Richard) Hess, Dolly (Wayne) Godfrey, Cheryl Ebnet; brothers, Eugene (Evelyn) Petraska, and Lawrence (Clarice) Petraska.
Pallbearers were Ralph Burns, Wayne Godfrey, Edward Lebens, Alvin Lebens, LeRoy Dellwo, Donald Hennen.
Interment will be at Shakopee Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements with the Ballard-Sunder Funeral Homes, Shakopee.
