Judith Kay (Nordquist) Kari was born September 29, 1955 in Wadena, Minnesota to Martin F. and Louise (Henry) Nordquist. Judy was baptized as an infant at home in Sebeka and water baptized as an adult at the Country Bible Church, Ashby. On February 14, 1976, Judy was married to Carl Orin Kari in Clarissa. Judy was a devoted wife to her husband Carl and mother to her son Ryan. Her mother and extended family were also very important to her.
Judy was very active in her church. What she enjoyed doing the most was sharing her faith in Jesus Christ. She did this through personal street ministry, teaching Sunday school, prayer meetings and local Bible studies. Judy was attending Country Bible Church School of Ministry and would have graduated in May of 1998. She also enjoyed flowers, both inside her home and in the garden; she looked at them as thoughts from her heavenly Father.
Judy will be sadly missed by her husband Carl and son Ryan Lee Kari of Elbow Lake; her mother Louise Tullis of Wadena; four brothers: Dwaine Nordquist of Elk River; Larry (Brenda) Nordquist of Clarissa; John (Julie) Nordquist of Vergas; David (Melanie) Nordquist of Wheaton; two sisters: Cheryl (Chuck) Butler of Elk River; Nancy Moske of Wadena; 30 nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Martin Nordquist, an infant brother, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Arrangements were with the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Elbow Lake.
