NEW LONDON - Jennifer Kay Wadsworth, 29, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Monticello, died Thursday in Kansas City, Kan., following a car accident.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Duane Semmler officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her father, Mike Wadsworth (and special friend Lucy Paulsen) of Monticello, formerly of New London, and paternal grandmother Frances Wadsworth-Woods of Spicer.

Marie Wiechman
Feb. 2, 1930 - April 15, 2000
ELROSA - Marie Wiechman, 70, of Elrosa died Saturday at Koronis Manor.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with the Rev. LeRoy Scheierl officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade with a Christian Mothers rosary at 7:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 8 p.m.
She was born Feb. 2, 1930, in New Munich to Sebastian and Adelhaide (Keppers) Funk. She graduated from New Munich High School.
On July 3, 1950, she married Wilfred Wiechman in New Munich. They farmed north of Belgrade in Lake George Township. She suffered a stroke in 1998 and had been a resident of Koronis Manor since January.
She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa, was active in the Christian Mothers and served on the parish council.
She is survived by her husband; children Andrew (and Cheri) Wiechman of Belgrade, Annette Wiechman of Albany, Ore., Annella Wiechman of Tucson, Ariz., Arthur Wiechman of Belgrade, Randall (and Laurie) Wiechman of Atwater, Ramona (Kent) Michaels of Waseca, Sara Wiechman of New London; five grandchildren; brothers Raymond (and Florence) Funk of New Munich, Walter (and Lydia) Funk of Los Angeles and sister Erma (and Leo) Blonigan of Upsala.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Timothy, Jeffrey, Thomas and Bernard; daughter Annella and four brothers.

Elmer N. Carlson
Aug. 17, 1909 - April 14, 2000
HECTOR - Elmer Nathaniel Carlson, 90, of Hector died Friday at his home.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the Palmyra Covenant Church in Palmyra Township, rural Hector. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at the church.
He was born Aug. 17, 1909, in Litchville, N.D., to Emil and Esther (Ryberg) Carlson. In 1913, the family moved to Palmyra Township in Renville County.
He married Neva Mae Wilkinson on May 1, 1937, in Palmyra Township. They lived and farmed south of Hector until they retired and bought a house in Hector.
He was a member of Palmyra Covenant Church.
He is survived by his son Wally (and Sandy) Carlson of Olivia; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Paul (and Vivian) Carlson of Staples, William (and Linnea) Carlson of Hector; sister Ruth Blad of Hector and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons Larry and Jon, two brothers and one sister.

Arthur A. Maus
Aug. 14, 1913 - April 15, 2000
IVANHOE - Arthur Albert "Art" Maus, 86, of Ivanhoe, formerly of the Montevideo area, died Saturday at his home.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Birk Funeral Home in Ivanhoe. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
He was born Aug. 14, 1913, in Havelock Township, Chippewa County, to William G. and Ehefran Emma (Teichert) Maus. He attended District 57 school.
In January of 1949, he married Ellen Oman in Montevideo. He farmed for several years and was later employed by Jennie-O Foods in Willmar, the Willmar Greenhouse, and was a self-employed painter.
He is survived by his children Ronald (and Barb) Maus of French Town, Mont., Barbara (and Daryl) Skindelien of Lake Benton, David Maus of Montevideo, Steven (and Denise) Maus of Miltona and Jerry (and Lana) Maus of Canby; five grandchildren and nine stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; sisters Elsa Clausen of Benson, Erna Rassmusson of Minneapolis and brother Elmer Maus of Hutchinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Mitch A. Thompson
May 27, 1925 - April 16, 2000
BELGRADE - Mitch A. Thompson, 74, of Belgrade died Sunday in Paynesville.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Belgrade with the Rev. Carl Listug officiating. Burial will be in the Grace East Lutheran Cemetery in rural Belgrade. Military rites will be performed by the Belgrade VFW Post 1825 and the New London American Legion Post 537.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born May 27, 1925, in Brookings, S.D., to Walfred and Emma (Madsen) Thompson. He graduated from Estelline, S.D., High School in 1943. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army.
On Sept. 22, 1948, he married Irene Oswskey in Watertown, S.D., and they farmed near Estelline before moving in 1953 to Fridley, where he worked for the Crown Iron and Remington Rand Steel Manufacturing Companies.
In 1957, he graduated from the Dunwoody Institute and Minneapolis Vocational Schools, and the couple moved the following year to New London, where he was foreman at the Crow River Manufacturing Co. He founded Belgrade Manufacturing - later renamed the Belgrade Steel Tank Company - in March of 1963. They moved in 1965 to Belgrade. He retired in 1987.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, New London American Legion Post 537 and the Belgrade VFW Post 1825 of which he was a past commander.
He is survived by his wife; daughters Sandra (and Don) Westaby of Belgrade, Linda (and Greg) Mueller of Belgrade, Peggy (and Chris) Spanier of Paynesville; sons Walfred (and Maureen) of Billings, Mont., Leslie (and Brenda) of Belgrade, Larry (and Michelle) of Belgrade; 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Fred Saaranen, an infant daughter, two sisters and two brothers.

Lucille W. Ellingson
Oct. 28, 1905 - April 16, 2000
MONTEVIDEO - Lucille Willis Ellingson, 94, of Montevideo died Sunday at the Luther Haven Nursing Home.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mandt Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gregory Gabriel officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born Oct. 28, 1905, in Mehurin Township of Lac Qui Parle County to Richard and Mattie (Willis) Telkamp. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1924. She was employed as a bookkeeper for an electric shop and wholesale grocery before joining Northern States Power in 1940 as home service director.
She married Orville Ellingson on Sept. 12, 1958, and they farmed north of Montevideo for 29 years before retiring and moving into town in 1987.
She was active in the Montevideo Fiesta, Girl Scouts, Red Cross, National Farmers Organization, the National Federation of Business and Professional Women, the Republican Party and Mandt Lutheran Church.
She is survived by nieces and nephews Barbara Kaiser of Huntington Beach, Calif., John Thompson of Minneapolis, Richard Thompson of Minneapolis, Janice Peterson Thompson of Bowie, Md., Paul Peterson of Wellesley, Mass., Virginia Peterson Foster of Urbana, Ill., and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, two sisters and a nephew.

Irene L. Rodness
Aug. 12, 1907 - April 16, 2000
CLARKFIELD - Irene Lila Rodness, 92, of Clarkfield died Sunday at Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Augustana Lutheran Church in Clarkfield with the Rev. Julie Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fridhem Cemetery in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County.
Visitation with the family will be 7 to 9 p.m. today, with an 8 p.m. prayer service, at Lynner Funeral Home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1907, in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, to Thea (Swenson) and Herman Christensen. She was a graduate of Clarkfield High School and completed a teachers training program in Montevideo. She was employed as a rural school teacher several years.
In 1934, she married Clarence W. Rodness. She assisted him with his Clarkfield construction business until he died in 1969. She was then employed as a tutor by Clarkfield Elementary School for many years.
She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School, was superintendent of religious education, served on the church council, and participated in women's groups. She was a member of the Clarkfield Garden Club.
She is survived by her son Roger Rodness of Clarkfield; daughter Avis (and Kevin) Tait of Lexington, Mass.; four grandsons; sisters Luella Stokke of Clarkfield and Mayvis Etrheim of Granite Falls; brother Herbert Christensen of Clarkfield and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers.

Robert O. George
LITCHFIELD - Robert O. George, 87, of Litchfield died Monday at the Howard Lake Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Howard Lake.
His memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Litchfield with the Rev. Robert Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are with Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.
He is survived by his sons Melvin (and Shirley) George of Tigard, Ore., James (and Sandra) George of Gurnee, Ill., and John "Jack" (and Marlene) George of Howard Lake; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister Marion Rueckert of Litchfield and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife Irene, parents Theodore and Louise George, and one brother.

Ruth E. Nestor
Feb. 12, 1919 - April 15, 2000
GLENWOOD - Ruth E. Nestor, 81, of Glenwood died Saturday at the Glenwood Retirement Home.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at All Saints Chapel at Glenwood Retirement Village. Burial will be in Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the chapel. Arrangements are with Hoplin Funeral Home.
She was born Feb. 12, 1919, in Glenwood to Dr. I.S. and Grace (Larson) Benson. She was valedictorian of the Class of 1937 at Glenwood High School. She was a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in elementary education and taught school in Bayport.
On Feb. 9, 1942, she married R.W. Nestor in Glenwood.
She was a Cub Scout den mother and Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by her sons Gary of Glenwood, and Steven (and Araura) of Glenwood; three grandsons; and brothers Robert Benson of Glenwood, and John (and Joyce) Benson of Glenwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in November 1999, and one brother.

Kari A. Robertson-Parra
Aug. 27, 1999 - April 17, 2000
NEW ULM - Kari Anne Robertson-Parra, 71/2 months, of New Ulm died Monday at New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm (507-354-2312). Burial will be in City Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be two hours before the service at the funeral home.
She was born Aug. 27, 1999, in Wyoming, Minn., to LeAnna Parra and Chad Robertson. She moved to New Ulm shortly after her birth.
She is survived by her mother of New Ulm; her father of Willmar and other relatives.

Lloyd Grant Jackson
Oct. 8, 1940 - April 17, 2000
COSMOS - Lloyd Grant Jackson, 59, of Cosmos died Monday of a heart attack at Rice Memorial Hospital.
His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Atwater Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Rengstorf officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Atwater.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 8, 1940, in Lake Elizabeth Township, Kandiyohi County, to Grant and Viola (Smoldt) Jackson. He received his education in the Atwater area. He lived mainly in the Cosmos area and, for a short time, in Lake Lillian. He was employed in road construction.
He is survived by his sons Larry Jackson (and special friend Vicki Westling) of Cosmos, Aaron Jackson of Navada, Jeff Knorr of Litchfield; daughters Shirley Roufs (and special friend Tom Reinert) of Cosmos, Sherlyn (and Tom) McCarthy of Lake Lillian, Shelly Jackson (and special friend James DeLeeuw) of Cosmos, Julie Shubert (and special friend Monte Templeton) of Navada; daughter-in-law Michelle Verdon of Atwater; 16 grandchildren; brothers Kenneth (and Joann) Jackson of Hutchinson, Dale (and Kathryn) Jackson of Cosmos, Dennis (and Sandy) Jackson of Kasota, Danny (and Sandi) Jackson of Lake Lillian, Perry Jackson (and special friend Jill Karnik) of Dassel, Darrel Jackson(and special friend Joann Oslund) of Cosmos; and sisters Sharon (and Richard) Litzau of Atwater, Barbara Kleinschmidt (and special friend Gene Nelson) of Hector, Karen (and Jim) Maeyeart of Tracy, Joyce (and Robert) Bratz of Litchfield and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, two brothers and son Lyle.

Grace E. Engerholm

GLENWOOD - Grace E. Engerholm, 90, of Glenwood died Monday at the Glenwood Retirement Village.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Glenwood Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born Dec. 18, 1909, in Barrie, N.D., to Carl and Hulda Anderson.
On Nov. 26, 1937, she married Gordon Engerholm in Britton, S.D.
She is survived by sons Gail of Cincinnati, Bruce (and Sharon) of San Diego, Jerry (and Janice) of Glenwood; daughters Donna Sutton of Owensboro, Ky., Pat (and Russ) Hanson of Inver Grove Heights; sisters Gladys (and Vingner) Bratland of Sheldon, N.D., Alice Anderson of Kindred, N.D.; and brother Lewis (and Francis) Anderson of Fargo, N.D.

Richard E. Jossart Sr.
March 29, 1901 - April 20, 2000
BENSON - Richard Elmer Jossart Sr., 99, of Benson, died Thursday at the Swift County-Benson Hospital.
His funeral will be 1:30 p.m. today at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson with the Rev. Roger Olness officiating. Burial will be in the Benson City Cemetery.
Jacobson-Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is in charge of arrangements.
He was born March 29, 1901, in Martin County to Eli C. and Josephine (DuQuaine) Jossart. He grew up and attended school in rural Benson.
On Dec. 14, 1927, he married Agnes Myrtle Sather in Benson. He farmed in Swift County until 1951, when they moved to Benson. He worked for many years for Benson Public Schools. Agnes died in 1996.
He was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson.
He is survived by daughters Adeline (and Gene) Ellingboe of Milan, Janet (and Jerry) Voorhees of Alexandria, Marilyn (and Kermit) Larson of Hedgesville, W. Va., and Joan (and Delmar) Razink of Benson; son Richard A. (and Linda) Jossart Jr.; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son-in-law, Arthur C. Olson, and four brothers.

Violet Lucille Zrust
June 22, 1911 - April 22, 2000
OLIVIA - Violet Lucille Zrust, 88, of Olivia, formerly of Cosmos, died Saturday at the Renville County Hospital in Olivia.
Her funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos with the Rev. Fred Rengstorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church and one our prior to services Wednesday at the church. Dirks-Blem Funeral Home of Olivia is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 22, 1911, in West Newton Township, Nicollet County, to Bert and Pauline (Sommer) Thurston. She grew up in New Ulm, Minneapolis and Fairfax. She graduated from Fairfax High School in 1929, then graduated from the Minneapolis School of Business in 1930. She worked for the Minneapolis Roofing and Cornice Company until she was laid off during The Depression. She moved to Cosmos to work in a restaurant.
On March 13, 1932, she married Fred Zrust in Fairfax. They lived in Cosmos, where Fred worked for the Stearns Lumber Company. They lived in Hutchinson from 1953 to 1958, then they returned to Cosmos to start a lumber business. Fred died on Feb. 28, 1982.
She moved to Mill Creek, Wash., in 1988. She returned to Minnesota in 1996, most recently living in the Fairview Place in Olivia and the Bird Island Manor Healthcare Center.
She worked at the Cosmos Healthcare Center form 1966 to 1975. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the Peace Lutheran Women's Organization.
She is survived by children Donald (and Mollie) of Mukilteo, Wash; Daryle (and Darlene) of Lynnwood, Wash., Janet (and Stanley) Prokosch of Bird Island; and Betty (and Bob) Bryce of Everett, Wash; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister Marcella (and Haldor) Solem of Walnut Creek, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
