HOPKINS- Marvin J. Mork, 79, of Hopkins died Wednesday at his home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park. Burial will be Monday at Fort Snelling. Memorials preferred to Methodist Hospital Hospice.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a 7 p.m. VFW ritual, at Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel in Hopkins (952-938-9020) and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Survivors include his daughter Nancy (and Charles) Stewart of rural Hector.

Arlett C. Scopoli
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Arlett Carol Scopoli, 83, of Jacksonville, Fla., a native of Pennock, died July 21, 2000, of cancer.
Services were July 29 in Jacksonville.
She was born in Pennock in 1917. She was married to Mariano Scopoli Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two sons, both in Jacksonville; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and several relatives in the Willmar area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters and two brothers.

Laura A. Lamberty
Dec. 28, 1906 - Aug. 9, 2000
GROVE CITY - Laura Ann Wilhelmine Lamberty, 93, of Grove City died Wednesday at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City with the Rev. Gary Cumings officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born Dec. 28, 1906, in Beemer, Neb., to August and Doretta (Faudel) Malchow.
She married Charles Lamberty in Omaha, Neb., in 1937. She owned and operated a beauty salon for 23_ years in Nebraska. They moved to Grove City in 1970.
She was active in the Immanuel Lutheran Church and various clubs in the Grove City area.
She is survived by her children Doretta (and Robert) Larson of Lakeville, Lavon (and Jan) Lamberty of Glencoe and Linda (and Donald) Mickelson of Grove City; daughter-in-law Lavina Svete of Phoenix, Ariz.; foster daughter Nora (Scott) Hageman of Fargo, N.D.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Leland Svete, one grandson and four brothers.

Mary F. Prellwitz

BUFFALO LAKE - Mary Frances Prellwitz, 91, of Buffalo Lake died Wednesday at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church in Hector. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born June 2, 1909, in Mountain Iron to John and Frances Hecimovich. She lived with an aunt and uncle in Wisconsin following the death of her parents. She moved to Minneapolis when she was 16 and later to Hector.
She married August Prellwitz on Jan. 3, 1929, in Bird Island. They farmed in the Buffalo Lake area.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Hector.
She is survived by her children August Prellwitz of Buffalo Lake, Joann (and Lloyd) Streeter of Hector, Richard (and Beatrice) Prellwitz of Stewart, Lorraine (and Bill) Rote of Askov and Phyllis (and Marvin) Hubert of Paynesville; 36 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers John Hecimovich of Park Falls, Wis., and Martin Hecimovich of Ashland, Wis., and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, three brothers and three grandsons.

Myrtle B. Johnson
Oct. 31, 1914 - Aug. 10, 2000
HECTOR - Myrtle Bertha Johnson, 85, of Hector died Thursday at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector. Burial will be in the Hector City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the church. Raymond D. Hughes Funeral Home of Hector is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Oct. 31, 1914, at Lakeside, Boon Lake Township, Renville County, to Gustav and Edith (Briggs) Krasean. She attended school in Lakeside.
On Feb. 25, 1934, she married Harold Johnson in Hutchinson. They lived in Lakeside and Stewart before moving to Hector.
Survivors include her children Barbara (and Dale) Nelson of Plymouth, Jeffrey (and Marilyn) Johnson of St. Louis, Mo., Peg Sandgren of New Ulm and Jackie (and Mike) Preble of Apple Valley; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Walter Krasean of Hayward, Wis., and sister Florence Potter of Owatonna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and son Scott.

Helen D. Paulson
March 21, 1909 - Aug. 9, 2000
MONTEVIDEO - Helen Dolores Paulson, 91, of Montevideo died Wednesday at the Clara City Care Center.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Congregational Church in Montevideo. Private family burial will take place at a later date at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Montevideo is in charge of arrangements.
She was born March 21, 1909, in Montevideo to William F. and Nellie (Austin) Kelley. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1928.
On July 12, 1930, she married Floyd Paulson. She worked for many years as a banking officer.
She was a member of First Congregational Church and participated in Women's Fellowship.
Survivors include daughters Nancy Setzer of Montevideo and Judy Henson of Palm Springs, Calif.; son Tom Paulson of Montevideo; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1992, one sister, three brothers, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Martin C. Anderson
Feb. 2, 1899 - Aug. 8, 2000
DAWSON - Martin Carl Anderson 101, of Dawson died Tuesday at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson with the Rev. Kendall Stelter officiating. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born Feb. 2, 1899, in Thor, Iowa, to Knut and Christine (Pederson) Anderson. He moved to the Dawson area with his family at the age of 14.
He married Audrey Lemke on July 1, 1956, in rural Echo. They lived in Dawson after retiring from farming in 1950.
Survivors include his wife and son Mark of Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, one in infancy, three sisters and a foster brother.

Lila L. Greenfield
March 12, 1935 - Aug. 9, 2000
NEW LONDON - Lila Lenore Greenfield, 65, of Remer, formerly Crystal, died Wednesday at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Peace Lutheran Church in New London with the Rev. Duane Semmler officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in New London.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson Funeral Home in New London and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born March 12, 1935, in New London to Burton and Irene (Metcalf) Larson. She graduated from New London in 1953 and then worked at the family restaurant, Home Café.
She married Peter Greenfield on April 7, 1956, in St. Cloud. They lived in St. Cloud and then moved to Crystal in 1963. She was a homemaker and then worked for Snyder Drug stores for 17 years as a pharmacist's technician. They retired in 1995 and moved to Remer.
Survivors include her husband; mother of New London; daughters Susan (and fiancé Tim) Olsen of Maple Grove and Brenda Greenfield of New Hope; sons Scott (and JuDee) Greenfield of Buffalo and Al (and Sheri) Greenfield of Maple Grove; seven grandchildren; and brothers Richard (and Betty) Larson of Willmar and Larry (and Connie) Larson of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her father.

Margaret S. Pearson
April 11, 1924 - Aug. 8, 2000
DAWSON - Margaret Susanna Pearson, 76, of Dawson died Tuesday at Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson with the Rev. Kendall Stelter official. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born April 11, 1924, in Maxwell Township, Lac qui Parle County, to Rangvald and Marie (Kolbenschlag) Kvam. She graduated from Dawson High School in 1943. She graduated from Frances Nystrom Cosmetology School in 1944.
She married Vernon Pearson on April 14, 1944. She worked in two different beauty salons, and in 1947, she purchased Belma Nelson's salon which she owned and operated as Margaret's Beauty Salon for 17 years. She then was a homemaker for 10 years and in 1970 opened Mar Lee Wig Shop.
Survivors include daughters Mary (and Roger) DeSoto of Dawson and Elizabeth (and Jeffrey) Storlien of Dawson; four grandchildren; sisters Bernice Kaupang of Dawson and Priscella (and Glenn) Sampson of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on April 3, 1995, one brother and one sister.

Douglas F. Wotier
Feb. 25, 1921 - Aug. 11, 2000
HOLLOWAY - Douglas Fontaine Wotier, 79, of Holloway died Friday at Appleton Municipal Hospital.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Appleton with the Rev. John Pearson officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Holloway.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Vaala Funeral Home in Appleton and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born Feb. 25, 1921, at Hamden, Conn., to Arthur and Blanche (Fontaine) Wotier. He attended school in Washington, D.C., and later attended George Washington University. At the age of 19 he joined the Navy Reserves. From 1940 until his discharge in 1945, he served with the U.S. Navy.
In 1946, he married Mary Fahey. He worked as a supervisor and inspector for Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company in Minneapolis for 30 years, retiring in 1981.
On Feb. 3, 1975, he married Lorraine DeGroot in Gainesville, Fla. He taught boiler and machinery classes for national board exams and also taught in-service inspections of nuclear plants and assisted in the building of the nuclear plant at Sao Paulo, South America.
He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Citra, Fla., and St. John's Catholic Church in Appleton. He was a life member of the VFW and American Legion and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus. He also belonged to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing, the advisory board for Hutchinson Vo-Tech and served on the city council in Plattsmouth, Neb.
Survivors include his wife; daughter Jacque (and Donnie) David of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and sister Clarisse Baxter of Gainesville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.

Marie G. Ernston
Sept. 15, 1911 - Aug. 9, 2000
GRANITE FALLS - Marie Gertrude Ernston, 88, of Minneapolis died Wednesday in Minneapolis.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Granite Falls with the Rev. Jim Devorak officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Survivors include her brother Glen (and Irene) Rupp of Granite Falls.

Gary M. Gabrielson
April 8, 1949 - Aug. 10, 2000
DARWIN - Gary Merle "Gabe" Gabrielson, 51, of Darwin died Thursday at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield with the Rev. Daniel Buendorf officiating. Burial will be in the Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and one hour prior to the church service at the church.
He was born April 8, 1949, in Litchfield to Merle and Louise (Olberg) Gabrielson. He graduated from Litchfield High School in 1967. He graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in industrial engineering. After college, he was manager of Consumers Co-op in Litchfield, then worked for Sederstrom Fertilizer, and for the past 17 years has been employed by the Ag Division of the Bayer Corporation.
On June 15, 1974, he married Jo Anne Brooks.
He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Litchfield and served on the church board. He also served on the Meeker County Variance Board, the Darwin Township Board and was active in the Forest City threshers group.
Survivors include his wife; sons Eric, Mark and Ian of Darwin; brother Richard (and Deb) of Gabrielson Darwin; and sister Nancy (and Jim) Thalberg of Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Reynold M. Rondestvedt
Sept. 13, 1956 - Aug. 9, 2000
GROVE CITY - Reynold Melvin Rondestvedt, 43, of Grove City died Wednesday near Grove City in an automobile accident.
His funeral will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Grove City with the Rev. John Lingenfelder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Admiral Benson Post 2818 VFW will provide military rites.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.
He was born Sept. 13, 1956, in Bismarck, N.D., to Mylo and Rynetta (Midgley) Rondestvedt. He graduated from high school in Larimore, N.D., in 1976. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Riley, Kan., from 1976 to 1979. He also served in the Litchfield National Guard for 20 years, retiring in 1998.
On Oct. 22, 1977, he married Carol Callander in Kingston. They lived in Kansas until October 1979 when they moved to Litchfield. They moved to Grove City in November 1999. He worked at Willmar Manufacturing for five years, then Palm Attachments in Grove City. He also worked at the West Central Tribune in Willmar.
Survivors include his wife; son Scott Rondestvedt of Litchfield; daughter Shela Rondestvedt of Grove City; brothers Russell Rondestvedt of Lake City, Raymond Rondestvedt of Grand Forks, N.D., and Rick (and Judy) Rondestvedt of Rapid City, S.D.; and sister Laura Sandahl of East Grand Forks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Margaret M. Owen
March 18, 1940 - Aug. 9, 2000
BAYFIELD, Colo. - Margaret Mary "Maggie" Owen, 60, of Bayfield, Colo., died Wednesday at Metro Denver Hospice after a battle with cancer.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson with the Rev. Steve Verhelst officiating. Burial will be in the Benson City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born March 18, 1940, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Jerome and Carolyn (Moeller) Gruenwald. She attended school in Redfield, S.D.
On Sept. 23, 1958, she married Jon W. Owen. They lived in California, Minnesota and Arizona before moving to Willmar in 1971. She worked at Christian Nursing Home and later as a licensed day-care provider and foster parent. In 1976, she moved to Aravada, Colo., and worked for Coors Brewing Company and later Jolly Ranchers Candy. In 1998, she moved to Bayfield.
She is survived by her mother of Redfield, S.D.; special friend Ray Stryker of Bayfield, Colo.; daughters Kimberly Owen and Troy McGovern of Carver, Debra (and Bob) Schluter of Aurora, Colo., and Jolene (and Scott) Forbord of Willmar; son Daryl Owen and Lorri Cole of Lenexa, Kan.; siblings Norita Rice of Frankfort, S.D., Willie (and Patty) Gruenwald of Clark, S.D., Irene (and Roald) Amundson of Redfield, S.D., Jean Wallman of Arvada, Colo., Karen (and Dennis) Lau of Weston, Mo., Francis (and Janet) Gruenwald of Zell, S.D., Janice (and Bill) Winegar of Rapid City, S.D., Joseph Gruenwald of Aberdeen, S.D., Betty Moore of Redfield, S.D., Mary (and Peter) Wurtz of Jacksonville, Fla., Richard (and Bette) Gruenwald of Redfield, S.D., Jerry Gruenwald of Pierre, S.D., and Doug Gruenwald of Gillette, Wyo.
