LANCASTER, Pa. -- Elizabeth Suter Dunlap, 87, of Lancaster Pa., died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Homestead Village Health Care Center.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Episcopal Church in Lancaster. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Fred F. Groff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ella R. Olsen

BELGRADE -- Ella R. Olsen, 91, of Belgrade, formerly of Auburn, Wash., died Friday at the Belgrade Nursing Home.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crow River Lutheran Church, rural Belgrade with the Rev. Michael DeKraai officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Johnson Funeral Home of Belgrade is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Jan. 13, 1910, in Burbank Township, near Belgrade, to Tobias and Emma (Thorson) Renebo. She grew up in the Belgrade area and graduated from Belgrade High School in 1927. She graduated from the St. Cloud Teachers College in 1934. From 1934 to 1950, she taught in several schools in Minnesota and for one year in Phoenix. She moved to Seattle in the early 1950s, where she also taught school.
On July 14, 1962, she married Axel Olsen in Auburn. They owned and operated the Lake Dolof Blueberry Farm in Auburn for many years. Her husband died in 1970. She retired in 1996 and moved to the Belgrade Nursing Home in March 2000. She was a member of the Crow River Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three nephews, a niece, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and eight brothers and sisters.
Gerald F. Holmes

LITCHFIELD -- Gerald Francis Holmes, 94, of Litchfield died Friday at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield.
His funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Church of the Nazarene in Litchfield with the Rev. Gary Worthington officiating. Burial will be in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and one hour prior to services at the church.
He was born Oct. 15, 1906, in Mineral Point, Wis., to Frank and Susan (Doan) Holmes. He attended school through the eighth grade in the Grove City area.
On Jan. 4, 1926, he married Nellie Heveron in Litchfield. They farmed in the Manannah and Litchfield areas for a few years. They moved to Litchfield in 1947 where they have lived ever since.
He worked for Land O' Lakes, First District Association for 26 years. He started in the milk plant and later became a milk truck driver. After retiring from Land O' Lakes, he drove school bus for Litchfield School System for 14 years. He also owned the Evergreen Mobile Home Park in Litchfield.
He is survived by his daughters Lu of Litchfield, Vera (and James) Schmidt of St. Cloud, Vivian (and Jim) Johnson of Long Lake; sons Kenneth (and Marilyn) Holmes of Brooklyn Park, Harold (and Connie) Holmes of Salem, Ind.; 32 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1982; sons Alger, Robert, John, Donald; daughter Lorraine Anderson; one great-grandson; a sister and a brother.
Anna Ledeboer

WILLMAR -- Anna Ledeboer, 76, of Willmar died Friday at Rice Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Holland Township Cemetery in Prinsburg.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born Nov. 29, 1924, in Sacred Heart to Ralph and Minnie (Swyter) Fischer. She grew up in the Sacred Heart area attending District 131 in Ericson Township for schooling.
On July 14, 1948, she married Herman J. Ledeboer at Prinsburg Christian Reformed Church. They lived in the Prinsburg and Clara City communities. In 1985, she moved to Willmar where she worked at Nelsen's Laundry and Cleaners. She was also a greeter and demonstrator at K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Skylark Foods, Cub Foods and Cashwise.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar.
She is survived by children Linda (and Gary) Nelson of Andover, Karen Ruter of Willmar, Mavis Ledeboer of Willmar, Steve Ledeboer of Willmar; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Henry Fischer, Osakis and George Fischer of Renville.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, her parents, sister and son Robert Ledeboer.
Donald "Buck" Weis

BIRD ISLAND -- Donald "Buck" Weis, 88, of Bird Island died Friday at his home.
His funeral will be 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bird Island with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Bird Island with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 22, 1912, in rural Bird Island to Henry and Catherine (Brunner) Weis. He attended St. Mary's Grade School and High School in Bird Island.
On June 25, 1940, he married June Lund in Bird Island where they made their home. They retired to town in 1981. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife; children Ron (and Judy) Weis of Brooklyn Park, Bob (and Melly) Weis of Bird Island, Chuck (and Cam) Weis of Olivia, Ginny (and Larry) Louwagie of Arlington, Texas; Denny (and Julie) Weis of Mankato, LeAnn (and Wes) Boomgaarden of Columbus, Ohio, Charleen (and Randy) Zens of Dalton, Joe (and Marilyn) Weis of Inver Grove Heights; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Ed Weis of Bird Island, Adrian (and Germaine) Weis of Bird Island; sisters Katherine Miller of Olivia, Lorraine Oslund of Bird Island, Celia Smith of Bird Island, Helen Visser of Minneapolis and Phyllis Graves of Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters and two grandchildren.
Charles L. Strate

EDEN VALLEY -- Charles L. Strate, 53, of Eden Valley died Friday at his home from a heart attack.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Church of Our Lady in Manannah. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Church of Our Lady in Manannah with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. followed by Knights of Columbus St. Louis Council #3820 and Catholic Aid Association at 8 p.m. and Eden Valley American Legion Post #381 at 8:30 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to church services. Arrangements are by Dingmann's Eden Valley Funeral Home.
He was born Nov. 26, 1947, in Sleepy Eye to Raymond and Viola (Lux) Strate.
On Oct. 24, 1969, he married Nancy Mages at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. They farmed and lived in Sleepy Eye until moving to Eden Valley in 1993.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus St. Louis Council #3820, Catholic Aid Association, Eden Valley American Legion Post #381 and National Rifle Association. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife; children Connie (and Doug) Goblirsch of Ramsey, Becky (and Shane) Wilson of Mankato, Brian (and Michelle) Strate of Sleepy Eye, Sarah Strate (and special friend Chad Mills) of Madelia, Kimberly Strate of Eden Valley; four grandchildren; sister Charlotte (and Dick) Gorres of Willmar and brother Lynn (and Jeanne) Strate of Bemidji.
He was preceded in death by his brother.
Katie Snider

LOWRY -- Katie Evelyn Snider, 17, of Lowry died Friday at St. Cloud Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Her funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Glenwood United Parish in Glenwood with the Rev. Greg Kapphahn officiating. Burial will be in Lake Ann Cemetery in rural Glenwood.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hoplin Funeral Chapel in Glenwood and for one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born June 20, 1983, at Fort Carson, Colo., to Jeffrey and Elizabeth (Dalager) Snider. In 1986, they moved to Lowry. She attended Minnewaska Area High School where she was a senior. She was active in church and taught Sunday School.
She is survived by her parents and sister Annie of Lowry; great-grandmother Evelyn Cooley of Glenwood; grandparents Richard and Patricia Dalager of Glenwood, Anne Snider of Lowry and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Herbert Snider; great-grandfather Othniel "Bud" Cooley; great-grandparents Cordelia and Leonard Snider and Reynolds and LeOra Foster.
Beth N. Lang

VILLARD -- Beth Nadine Lang, 90, of Villard died Saturday at her home under the care of family and hospice.
Her funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Villard United Methodist Church in Villard. Burial will be in Lake Amelia Cemetery in Villard.
Arrangements are by Hoplin Funeral Home in Glenwood.
She was born Nov. 17, 1910, in Roberts County near Peever, S.D. She attended country school near Peever, then lived with her grandmother in Traer, Iowa where she attended high school.
On June 30, 1928, she married Milton Lang. They made their home near Lake Amelia. In 1936, they bought a farm in Villard.
She was a member of the Villard Methodist Church. She helped establish the Parent Teachers Association in the Villard school system and was active in Pope County Homemaker's Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her children Daniel (and Carol) of Fruitland Park, Fla., Norma (and Duane) Solvie of Morris, Ralph (and Marjorie) of Villard, Jane (and Kenneth) Greene of Tavares, Fla., Deb (and Dave) Dziengel of Villard; 20 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Doris Konicek of Burnsville and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991, parents, infant son Sydney, two brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
Marjorie L. Goulson

BLUE EARTH -- Marjorie L. Goulson, 80, of Blue Earth died Sunday at the United Hospital in Blue Earth.
Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mandt Lutheran Church at rural Montevideo. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth and one hour prior services at the church.
She was born Jan. 12, 1921, in Kossuth County, Iowa to Joseph and Emma (Olson) Stenberg. She graduated from Elmore High School in 1939.
On Aug. 16, 1959, she married Curtis Goulson at St. Peter. They lived in rural Willmar and Litchfield before moving to Pequot Lakes. Due to her health she moved to Nicollet Place in Blue Earth.
Wherever she lived she was active in church, Sunday School, Release Time and American Lutheran Christian Women. She was a past secretary of education at the Brainerd Conference for two years.
She is survived by her son Richard (and Corinne) of Las Vegas, Nev.; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; stepmother Viola Stenberg of Blue Earth; sister Florence Dobson of Elmore and brother Francis Stenberg of Sioux City, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990 and her parents.
James B. Springer

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- James Bottge Springer, 89, of Santa Maria, Calif., formerly of Sacred Heart, died Jan. 9.
His memorial service was Jan. 12 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Santa Maria. Inurnment will be at a later date at Opdal Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart.
He was born April 25, 1911, in Olivia to Wenzel and Mary (Bottge) Springer. He attended school in Olivia and Lake Lillian, moving to Sacred Heart in 1950. He was in agriculture all his life.
On April 25, 1975, he married Bunny Kittelsland Stoa in Sacred Heart. They moved to Santa Maria in 1981.
He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Santa Maria.
He is survived by his wife; two grandsons; three great-grandsons and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and stepdaughter Edel Stoa Thomton.
Janet C. Rosenow

BROOKLYN PARK -- Janet Clare Rosenow, 58, of Brooklyn Park, formerly of Forest City, died Saturday in Robbinsdale.

She was born June 23, 1942, in Forest City to Rudolph and Esther Rosenow. She moved to Brooklyn Park in 1975.
She is survived by her brothers James (and Angie) of Dassel, Mark (and Myrtle) of Minneapolis; sisters Mary Ann (and Bud) Baker of Brooklyn Park, Rita Johnson of Brooklyn Park, Margaret (and Don) Magnan of Los Angeles, Calif., Frances (and Wil) Trautmann of Los Angeles, Calif., Joan (and John) Wimmer of Forest City and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Laura (Reigstad) Tanhoff

MEDFORD, Ore. -- Laura A. (Reigstad) Tanhoff, 79, of Medford, Ore., died Jan. 6 at her home.
Private services were held. Memorials to Providence Community Health Foundation Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, Ore. 97504, are preferred.
Arrangements were with Perl Funeral Home in Medford.
She was born April 27, 1921, in Sleepy Eye to Spencer and Anna Reigstad. She attended school in Willmar.
On Sept. 21, 1939, she married Arnott Tanhoff in Estherville, Iowa. They moved to Rogue Valley from southern California in 1983. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband; daughter Judy Plauster of Palmdale, Calif.; sons Jim of Central Point, Ore., Brad of Medford; sisters Myrtle Wellman of St. James, Peggy Johnson of Eden, S.D.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

SACRED HEART -- Janet E. Johnson, 67, of Sacred Heart, died unexpectedly Sunday at Renville County Hospital in Olivia.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart with the Rev. John Hopper officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born Jan. 27, 1933, in Hawk Creek Township, Renville County, to Harold and Othilda (Tompte) Romness. She was a 1951 graduate of Sacred Heart High School and attended St. Olaf College.
On May 29, 1953, she married Carroll Johnson in Sacred Heart. They farmed 40 years. She was employed as a bookkeeper by Sacred Heart Co-op Elevator and later by Rehab Dynamics of Renville.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, active in ladies aid, served as county chairwoman of American Red Cross, and was a member of Sacred Heart Bloodmobile, Homemakers Club, Bridge Club, Historical Society and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband; son Paul Johnson of Marshall; daughters Sue (and Dan) Gerhardt of Ronan, Mont., Nancy (and John) Patock of Sacred Heart; brothers Arthur (and Elvera) Romness of Stillwater, Kenneth (and Shirley) Romness of Mound and four grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a half sister and a half brother.
Jennie P. Dokkesven

SPICER -- Jennie Pauline Dokkesven, 93, of Spicer, died Saturday at Koronis Manor in Paynesville.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church in New London with the Rev. Duane Semmler officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in New London.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home in New London.
She was born May 24, 1907, in New London Township to Carl and Anna (Peterson) Martinson. She attended rural grade school near Spicer.
On June 11, 1934, she married Clifford Dokkesven. They farmed near Spicer. She was a homemaker and employed by Willmar Cookie Company many years. They retired to New London.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her sister Anna Oman of Paynesville and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband in September 1988, an infant son, her parents and one sister.
