NEW LONDON -- Goldie Landaas, 95, of New London, died Monday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Peace Lutheran Church in New London with the Rev. Duane Semmler officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in New London.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home in New London.
She was born April 27, 1905, in Lake Andrew Township, Kandiyohi County, to Alfred and Minnie (Bengtson) Gustafson. On June 12, 1930, she married Gunnar Landaas. They lived in New London where she was a homemaker. They moved to Londonderry Apartments. She later moved to Glen Oaks. She was a member of Lebanon Lutheran Church and Peace Lutheran Church. She was a Sunday School teacher, choir member and member of Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her step-brother-in-law Jim Freundshuh; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-mother, one sister and one step-sister.
Lenore D. Aalderks

DANUBE -- Lenore D. Aalderks, 55, of Danube died Tuesday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Danube with the Rev. Mark Sattler officiating. Burial will be in Granite Falls City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville and continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born Nov. 9, 1945, in Granite Falls to Carl and Minnie (Hall) Weckwerth. She graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1963.
On Sept. 19, 1964, she married Jim Aalderks at Bethany Lutheran Church in Emmet Township. They lived in Danube and she worked at Control Data in Redwood Falls. Since 1975, she has worked for the Renville-Sibley Co-op Electric Association in Danube. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband; son Jamie Aalderks (and fiancée Kim Thole) of Willmar; daughter Jody (and Barry) Dahlbeck of Danube; brother David (and Pat) Weckwerth of Minnetonka and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Violet F. Peik

BROWNTON -- Violet Fredricka Peik, 96, of Brownton died Saturday at Cosmos Nursing Home in Cosmos.
Her funeral was Wednesday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Hutchinson. Burial was in Zion Methodist Cemetery in Sumter Township. Arrangements were with Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.
She is survived by three daughters including Jane (and Kenneth) Schleusner of Lake Lillian and Mary (and Roy) Nygaard of Litchfield; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, an infant daughter and her husband Adry.

EDEN VALLEY -- Christine Jan Christle, 38, of Eden Valley died Monday from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Litchfield.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Nordland Lutheran Church in rural Paynesville with the Rev. Keith Ainsley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are preferred.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Paynesville, and one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born Feb. 26, 1962, in Litchfield, to William and Ellen (Hedtke) Roos. She was a 1980 graduate of Eden Valley-Watkins High School and a 1985 graduate of St. Cloud Business College. On Jan. 31, 1981, she married Tom Christle Jr. in Paynesville. They lived in Paynesville, moving to Belgrade in 1992. She has lived in Eden Valley since last summer. She was employed by Litchfield Precision Components Company tfor hree years and for the past six years by Hutchinson Technology Inc. of Hutchinson. She was a member of Nordland Lutheran Church
She is survived by her husband of Paynesville; children Maggi and Justin of Paynesville and Cory and Katie of Eden Valley; parents William and Ellen Roos of Paynesville; brothers Dennis Roos of Lake Henry, Myron (and Sandy) Roos of Paynesville, Jeff (and Karen) Roos of Paynesville; sisters Wendy (and Pat) Cochran of Swanville, Robin (and Rick) Anderson of Eden Valley; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Milo D. Halberg

WILLMAR -- Milo Donald Halberg, 84, of Willmar died Thursday at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar with the Rev. Sandy Hanawalt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
He was born May 1, 1916, in rural Atwater, to Frederick and Ida (Harris) Halberg. He was a 1934 graduate of Atwater High School and attended Dunwoody Institute. On July 27, 1941, he married Meredith Hicks in Willmar. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was stationed in northern Italy, and received a Bronze Star. He was a salesman employed by Montgomery Ward, Oman Supply, Rodelius Ford, Larry Swenson Ford and KDJS radio station, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Willmar VFW Post 1639. He was a member of Willmar Chamber of Commerce, serving on its board of directors from 1973 to 1975 and signing over 100 new members. He received their Lifetime Membership Award in 1992. He has been a member of Willmar Noon Lions since 1966, serving on its board of directors serving as 3rd, 2nd and 1st vice chairman, president, assistant to the tail twisters and co-chairman of annual mint sales. He received the Lions International Founder's Award, Senior Master Key Holder and Life Time Membership Award. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar serving as past member of the cemetery board, church council and as an usher, greeter and cub scout pack master. He was active with Meals-on-Wheels, Couples Club and Over 60s.
He is survived by his wife; children Mark (and Lorraine) Halberg of Tucson, Ariz., Marcia (and James) Flett of Arvada, Colo., Mary K. (and James) Ernhart of Elk River, Marshall "Fred" (and Lois) Halberg of St. Paul, Margo Halberg of Denver, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.

MONTEVIDEO -- Ellen Louise Momeny, 84, of Montevideo died Tuesday at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Montevideo with the Rev. Paul Woolverton officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in the spring.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born June 15, 1916, in Montevideo, to Leonard and Hellen (Beetum) Momeny. She was a 1934 graduate of Montevideo High School and attended cosmetology school in Minneapolis. She was employed as a certified cosmetologist by Deluxe Beauty Salon for many years, by the beauty shop at Brookside Manor, and as a waitress at Trailways. She was a member of Business and Professional Women in Montevideo.
She is survived by her son David (and Terry) Momeny of Indianapolis, Ind.; two grandsons and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
Paul C. Forstrom

HUTCHINSON -- Paul Charles Forstrom, 41, of Hutchinson died Friday at Fairview Southdale Hospital Cancer Care Center in Edina after a 13-year struggle with brain cancer.
His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior. Memorials to Fairview-University Brain Tumor Center are preferred.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Huber Funeral Homes, Excelsior Chapel (952-474-9595).
He was born Oct. 8, 1959, in Willmar to C.R. "Kelly" and Norma Forstrom. He was a 1977 graduate of Clara City High School, attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, and studied in Washington, D.C., Europe and Middle East, graduating with a bachelor's degree in four majors: history, religion, psychology and political science.
In July 1963, he married to Beatrice Luknic in Willmar. He was employed as a sales associate by FSMC (First State Marketing Corp.) based in Lake Lillian, and in 1988 became its president until Sept. 30, 2000. He was a partner, director and officer with his brothers in Forstrom Bancorporation, Inc., and a partner with his brothers in Citizens State Insurance Agency of Clara City and Forstrom Brothers Investment Corp.
On June 24, 2000, he married Kathryn Bressandes in Hutchinson.
He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior, active in church council and council liaison to several committees. He helped establish a mission partnership with the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, and was a sponsor of Children in Project Education India. He was one of the original first six patients at Fairview-University Brain Tumor Center and the longest surviving brain cancer patient known.
He is survived by his wife; children and stepchildren Lauren, Nichole and Zachary Forstrom, Samuel and Jae Carter, all of Hutchinson; parents of Spicer and Venice, Fla.; brothers Phillip (and Marsha) of Clara City, Perry of Spicer, John of Independence and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

BROOKLYN PARK -- Dean C. Peterson, 60, of Brooklyn Park, formerly of Maynard, died Jan. 22.
His funeral was Jan. 25 at First Memorial Brooklyn Park Chapel in Brooklyn Park. Graveside services were Jan. 25 at Maynard Lutheran Church Cemetery in Maynard with the Rev. Mary Hovland officiating.
He was born March 29, 1940, in Montevideo to Clarence and Eloda Peterson.
He is survived by his son Scott (and Jennifer); daughter Kim (and Marvin) Douglas; mother of Maynard; three grandchildren and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, father and one brother.
Orlin W. 'Slim' Albrecht

ROSCOE -- Orlin W. "Slim" Albrecht, 68, of Roscoe died Wednesday at Paynesville Area Hospital in Paynesville.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Roscoe with the Rev. Leo Leisen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Military honors by Paynesville American Legion Post 271.
Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today, with 7:30 p.m. Paynesville American Legion Post 271 prayers and 8 p.m. parish prayers, at Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and one hour prior to services at the church.
He was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Paynesville to Edward and Alvina (Knebel) Albrecht. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
On April 16, 1955, he married Irene Mackedanz in Roscoe. He was employed by Cold Spring Granite Company for 40 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Paynesville American Legion Post 271 and Roscoe Sportsmen's Club.
He is survived by his wife; children Carol (and Donald) Kohnen of Roscoe, David (and Joyce) of Paynesville, Margie (and Brian) Willemsen of Roscoe, Donald (and April) of Roscoe, Mary VanderBeek of Roscoe, Billy Jo of Roscoe; 13 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and siblings Ermin (and Clarice) of Paynesville, Kenneth (and Katie) of Paynesville, LeRoy (and Char) of Buffalo, Janice (and Alec) Olsen of New London, Ardine (and David) Schmidt of Paynesville and Doris (and Ralph) Schmidt of Longville.

APPLETON -- Roy Ernest August Arndt, 76, of Appleton died Wednesday at Appleton Municipal Hospital.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton with the Rev. George Sagissor officiating. Burial will be in Appleton City Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Vaala Funeral Home in Appleton.
He was born Oct. 20, 1924, in Shible Township, Swift County, to Ernest and Emily (Grages) Arndt. He attended Shible Township country school.
On June 16, 1953, he married Evelyn Haugen. He farmed northeast of Appleton for several years and was later employed by Appleton Co-op Creamery and Del-Dee Foods. After retirement he was employed by Green Thumb Program.
He is survived by his daughters Karen (and Jim) Behrens of Milbank, S.D., Barb (and Duane) Pearson of Montevideo, Lynette (and Dave) Wagner of Cold Spring, Linda (and Mark) Schlieman of Madison, Janet (and Bret) Larson of Arlington, Brenda (and Craig) Semler of Appleton, Jody (and Reed) Molden of Milan, Lori (and Jeff) Andreas of Montevideo; 15 grandchildren; brother Edwin Arndt of Appleton; sister Verna (and Ole) Brustuen of Appleton and other relatives.

GRANITE FALLS -- Franklin "Frank" Baker, 69, formerly of Granite Falls, died Thursday at Clarkfield Care Center.

He was born March 16, 1931, in Granite Falls to Ralph and Maude (Mooney) Baker. He was a graduate of Granite Falls High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War. He farmed in the Granite Falls area and drove a granite truck while working road construction.
He is survived by his sisters Katherine (and Robert) Knight of San Luis, Calif., Elizabeth Cormier of San Francisco, Calif.; brothers Jack of Granite Falls, James (and Florence) of Munster, Ind., David T. (and Mary) of Calver, Ind., and other relatives.

Clarence D. Binnebose

MADISON -- Clarence Delbert Binnebose, 88, of Madison died Thursday at Madison Hospital.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wing-Bain Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with the Rev. Douglas Olson officiating. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Memorial Cemetery in Willmar.

He was born March 9, 1912, in Pipestone to Fred and Lottie (Pollock) Binnebose. He attended schools in Pipestone and Raymond. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Asiatic/Pacific Theatre. He was employed as a bricklayer all his adult life.
He is survived by his brother Lawrence (and Evelyn) Binnebose of Willmar; sisters Gladys DeGrote of Clara City, Viola Reiners of Raymond and other relatives.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Voyla Genora (Angrimson) Blomberg, 81, of Minneapolis died Tuesday.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Watson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born Oct. 14, 1919, in Big Bend Township, Chippewa County, to Anton and Mary (Johnson) Angrimson.
She married, and after her divorce moved to Minneapolis. She attended cosmetology school in Minneapolis and worked as a hairdresser for several years. She retired in 1981 and returned to Montevideo. She moved back to Minneapolis in 1988.
She is survived by her daughters Marilyn Ovick of the Minneapolis area, Judy (and John) Steine of the Minneapolis area; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Verine of Spokane, Wash., and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.
Florence T. DeMorret

PAYNESVILLE -- Florence T. DeMorret, 79, of Paynesville, did Thursday at her home in Paynesville.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville with the Rev. Richard Leisen officiating. Burial will be in the St. Louis Parish Mausoleum in Paynesville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville. The St. Louis Christian Women, Daughters of Isabella, Paynesville Catholic Aid Association and the St. Ann's Mission Group will pray at 7 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m.
She was born June 17, 1921 in rural Lake Henry to Mike and Ida (Jaeger) Gruber. On Oct. 20, 1943 she married Erwin DeMorret. They farmed in rural Eden Valley until their retirement in 1994 when they moved to Paynesville. She was a member of the St. Louis Christian Women, Daughters of Isabella, Paynesville Catholic Aid Association and the St. Ann's Mission Group. She was an auxiliary member of the Good Samaritans Care Center.
She is survived by sisters, Bergetta (and Andrew) Lieser of Cold Spring, Virginetta (and Trumond) Whitney of Brooklyn Center, Delores (and Hubert) Sunderman of Sauk Centre, Lenora (and Edwin) Kampsen of Litchfield, Erma (and James) Rieland of St. Cloud, and Patty (and Ado) Wensman of Paynesville, and brothers Michael (and Rosie) Gruber of Belgrade and David (and Nita) Gruber of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister in infancy.
