Mary Jean Good
Mary Jean Good, 69, of Lincoln, Neb. and formerly of Kimball, died Sat., Nov. 29, 2003 in Lincoln. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 4, at Roper & Sons Funeral Services, Inc., 4300 ‘O’ St. in Lincoln. Inurnment services to follow in Kimball at a later date.
She was born January 13, l934, in Kimball and lived in Lincoln 48 years. She was a longtime hostess and banquet manager at Misty’s and Eddy’s restaurants and was retired.
She graduated from Kimball County High School in l951, attended the University in Lincoln, was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, VFW Auxiliary and a former board member of the Lincoln YWCA.
Survivors include her husband, Conrad (‘Con’); son Conrad Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Diane; grandchildren Conor and Riley; and daughter Lisa, all of Lincoln; daughter and son-in-law Sergeant Laurie, U.S. Army National Guard, Kuwait, and Bob Heironymus, Crete; brother and sister-in-law Jim and LeaAnne Christiansen, Kimball; sister Joan Johnson, Butte, Mont.; and nieces and nephews.
Roper & Sons Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Peggy Crandell
Funeral services for Peggy Fern Crandell, 72, of Levelland, Texas were Monday at 2 p.m. at George C. Price Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors.
She died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
She was born Nov. 1, 1931 in Littlefield, Texas. She moved to Levelland in 1976 from Monahans, Texas. She was married to Schuyler "Scotty" Crandell on Oct. 10, 1951 in Kimball, Neb. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Post #4506 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include her husband, Schuyler Crandell of Levelland; two sons, Gary Lee Crandell and Scott Allen Crandell, both of Levelland; two daughters and their husbands, Vickie Lynn and Chris Jones, and Kimberly Fay and Mark Wills, all of Levelland; a brother, Bobby Richards of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Fayloa Griess of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Ava Lou Richards of Lubbock; a sister-in-law, Sherry Richards of Sidney Neb.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Norman C. Jacobsen
Norman Carl Jacobsen, 88, of Albin, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in Albin. Services will be today 10 a.m., at the Albin Community Center with the Rev. Deb Olenyik officiating. Interment
will be in the Albin Cemetery. Friends who wish may contribute to the Albin Fire Department.
Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes of Cheyenne, Wyo. Norman was born April 24, 1935, in Kimball, and had lived in Albin his entire life. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed as a harvester/farmer. He served on the Albin Volunteer Fire Department for 33 years and was a member of the Town Council. Norman loved the community, the local schools and the many friends of Albin.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Jacobsen of Albin, whom he married June 7, 1963; sons and daughters-in-law, Kraig and Mary Jacobsen of Yuma, Colo., and Brad and Debbie Jacobsen of Albin; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Ed Buchanan of Torrington; brother and sister-in-law George Wayne and Louise Jacobsen of Albin; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Pat Perreault of Cheyenne; half-brother and half-sister-in-law, Jack and Sally Jacobsen of St. George, Utah; grandchildren, Holly, Kirsten and Donte Jacobsen, Erin and Emily Buchanan and Courtney Werner; and nephews, Larry, Don and Ron Jacobsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie Jacobsen.
Karen Pruett Woken
Karen Louise Pruett Woken, 59, of Melbourne, Ark. passed away on March 8, 2004 at her residence. Karen was a former resident of Kimball and Bushnell.
Born December 27, 1944 in Alliance, Ohio, she was the daughter of Eugene H. Pruett and Nana Mae Grimes Harvell. During her working years she worked at a factory and in restaurants. Karen was of the Baptist faith.
Karen leaves to mourn her passing: one son, Patrick Franks of Placerville, Calif.; one daughter, Sheryl Kendall of Reno, Nev.; a brother Dale F. Pruett of Kimball, Neb.; two sisters, Katheryn R. Taylor of Bushnell, Neb., and Anna J. Jackson of Melbourne, Ark.; five grandchildren: Jacob Franks, Angelica Franks, both of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Jocelyn Kendall, Crystal Kendall, both of Reno, Nev.; Brady Bouteiller of Reno, Nev.; and a host of other relatives and good friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene H. Pruett, Nana Mae Grimes Harvell; a stepfather, Ira Harvell; and one infant brother, Carl Pruett.
Visitation was held March 10 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne, Ark. Graveside service was held March 11 at the Reeves Cemetery near Guion, Ark. Pallbearers included Sonny Brooks, Randall Lovelace, Jim Haley, Eudell Smith, Sam Owens, and Jack Jackson.
Kenneth Dee Kirby
Kenneth Dee Kirby, 67, of Iliff, Colo. died March 26, 2004 at Iliff, Colo. after a lengthy illness. Services were on March 30 at Tennant Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Gentry officiated. Cremation too k place.
He was born March 20, 1937 at Warsaw, Mo. to Albert Washington Kirby and Goldie Marie Bonner. He attended school in Warsaw, moving with his parents to Sterling, Colo. in 1953. He married Faye Marie Hager on April 17, 1955 in Sterling.
Kenneth worked as a roustabout and foreman in the oil industry for O’Neil Tank, Z and S Construction in Kimball, Neb., and other companies throughout Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming for most of his career. With his wife, he founded K and F Trucking in the mid ‘90s hauling commodities until disability forced his retirement in 1996. Ken and Faye returned to Logan County in 1998 purchasing land for a home in Iliff where he resided until his death.
Survivors include his wife Faye Marie; son and daughter-in-law Rick and Carla Kirby, Kimball; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Dennis Bradford, Deertail, Colo., Vicky and Elmer Todd, Fayetteville, N.C., and Lisa and Jim Todd, Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Kirby of Kimball, and sister Marvis Green of Imperial, Neb.

His hobbies and special interests included iron works, aviation, motorcycles, camping and boating. He loved people and enjoyed both telling and hearing a good joke or story.
Jane Bowers
Jane Bowers 66, of Carbondale Kan. and formerly of Kimball, passed away March 26, 2004 in Topeka, Kan. She lived in Kimball in the 1970s with her family.
She was born October 26, 1937 in Hays, Kan. the daughter of Willis and Veronas Kent. Jane was employed by Hertz Car Rental for 20 years, where she managed stations in Hays, Kan. and Manhattan, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Kim Schroller, Topeka, Kan, Brenda Schumacher, Andover, Kan., her son, Terry Bowers, Topeka, Kan.; four grandchildren, and one brother, Gene Kent of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Cremation is planned. Private family services will be held in Hays, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mother to Mother, a Topeka Organization that provides mentoring for mothers, and the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Midtown Chapel who is assisting the family.
Joseph A. LeMay
A memorial service will be held for Joseph Ambrose LeMay, of Kimball, at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Cantrell Funeral Home of Kimball. The Reverend Robert Karnish will officiate. Cremation has taken place and burial of the remains will be in the Kimball Cemetery. If friends wish, they may make a donation to the Kimball Fire Department. Cantrell Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
Joseph died on December 19, 2003 in Kimball. Survivors include his wife, Florence of Kimball; a son, Larry Wayne and his wife Sondra LeMay of Gunnison, Colo.; daughters Delores Arlene and husband Dick Eberl of Grand Island, Neb.; Shirley Joanne McAhren of Hawthorne, Calif.; and Nancy Marie and husband Brad Walls of Kimball, Neb.; daughter-in-law Helen Mae LeMay of Arizona; and sister Mary Louise Seyb of Hutchinson, Kan. Seventeen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren also survive.
Mr. LeMay was preceded in death by his first wife Amy Thompson in June of 1944; a son Richard LeMay; four brothers and one sister.

Asa J. Queen
Asa Jay Queen, age 60 of Kimball died at his sister’s home in Scottsbluff on Tuesday, March 30, 2004. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Lisco Presbyterian Church, Lisco, Neb. with his nephew Seth Svaty officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday April 1 at the Cantrell Funeral Home, and at the church on Friday from 9:00 until 10:00 AM. If friends wish, a memorial has been established to Prairie Haven Hospice. Cantrell Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Asa Queen was born on June 6, 1943 in Oshkosh to Walter and Patricia Ann (Ray) Queen. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1961. Asa and Helen Magnuson were married on December 29, 1963 in Gordon. He and Helen lived for twenty-one years in Fruitdale S.D. where he farmed while raising their family. He also lived in Lisco where he worked on a fish farm before later using his skills as a carpenter. He and Helen moved to Kimball one year ago, where he worked for the Kimball Public Schools as Head of Facilities.
Asa enjoyed fishing, goose hunting, as well as woodworking, and, of course, his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Helen Queen of Kimball; three sons: Asa J. and wife Nancy Queen of Broomfield, Colo.; Matthew and wife Dawn Queen of Anchorage, Alaska; and David and wife Kim Queen of Fort Bragg, Calif.; his parents Walter and Patricia Queen of Lisco; his sisters Janet Solley of Scottsbluff and Carrye Meintz of Philly, Neb.; grandchildren Maggie Queen; Jacob Queen; Samuel Queen and Nicholas Queen.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
John B. Cross
John “Budd” Cross, 83, died March 3, 2004 at West Park Hospital.
Mr. Cross was born March 8, 1920 on a farm in Banner County, Neb. to John Richard and Orpha Ellis (Scoville) Cross.
He married Iona Mae Schindler on June 24, 1942 in Gering, Neb. The had been married 61 years at the time of his death.
They farmed and built the Hilltop CafÈ near Harrisburg before moving to Byron in 1963. They lived on an irrigated farm at Whistle Creek south of Byron and fed cattle. They later moved to south of Powell and lived there for 24 years before moving to Cody, Wyo. in 1987. They had lived in Cody for 18 years.
Mr. Cross could be found at the Cody Nite Rodeo come rain or shine every night even before he moved to Cody, until his health declined in recent years.
He also enjoyed gong to the senior center and playing cards, going for rides, and spending time with his wife, relatives, and friends. He loved his doctors and nurses; they brightened his day as well as theirs, by distributing Werthers Candies. Some even called him the Candy Man.
He is survived by his wife Iona; daughters Kathy and Roger Stricker and their children Jason and Misty Stricker, and Brandi and Jonathon Hinze, all from Cheyenne, Wyo.; Linda and David Dike of Scottsbluff, Neb.; children Tina and Calvin Ong of Mitchell, Neb., Monica and Bill Harris of Loomis, Neb., and Nathan Jones of Rawlins, Wyo. and children Robert and LaDonda Conley of Jackson, Miss., Marci Conley or Rawlins, Wo., and Keri Rockwell of Lincoln, Neb.; six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Survivors also include his siblings: Jessie Hottell of Bend, Ore.; Marjorie Lamm of Ralston, Wyo.; Bill and Joyce Cross of Belgrade, Mont.; Magie Dykes of Powell, Wyo.; Sylvia and Junior Soule of Harrisburg, Neb.; Terry and Marilyn Cross of Powell, Wyo.; Sam and Irene Cross of Gillette, Wyo.; numerous nieces and nephews and lots of special friends.
He was buried March 8, 2004, on his birthday, at Riverside Cemetery, Cody, Wyo. Bill Eaton was the minister. John was preceded in death by his parents.
Keith Cross
Keith Cross, 72, of Harrisburg, died Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Funeral services were scheduled for 2:00 P.M. at Hull United Methodist Church Thursday December 18, with Gary Walker officiating. Friends were able to call at Gering Memorial Chapel Wednesday.
Interment
was to be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with military rites by Admiral Dewey Post #1681 VFW. Memorials may be given to the Banner County Fire Department or to the Banner County Historical Society.
Keith was born January 28, 1931 in Kimball, Neb. to Benjamin F. and Alice B. (Hottell) Cross. He grew up and received his schooling in Banner County. He entered the Navy February 12, 1951 where he served four years during the Korean Conflict. Upon his honorable discharge on August 25, 1955 he returned to Banner County. He married Barbara Nicodemus January 14, 1953 in Gering. Throughout the years Keith ranched, drove truck, raised and trained racehorses and joined rodeos.
Keith loved watching his grandchildren play basketball and rodeo. He was a big supporter of High School Rodeo. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the Jockey Club.
Survivors include his wife Barbara June Cross, sons and daughters-in-law: Bradly and Barb Cross of Harrisburg, Neb.; Faron and Wanda Cross of Harrison, Neb.; Adam "Hoss" and Teresa Cross of Torrington, Wyo.; and Benjamin and Leslie Cross of Mitchell, Neb.; a daughter Bernadette "Sam" Cross of Harrisburg; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and sister Joan Ginther of Vanderhoof, British Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Shirley Cross
Shirley A. Cross, 66, of Scottsbluff, Neb. and formerly of Kimball, died Thurs., Nov. 27, 2003 at her home. A Memorial Service was Dec. 2 at WestWay Christian Church in Scottsbluff with Pastors Willie Coop and Ken Trevithick officiating. Her remains were cremated at the Jolliffe Funeral Home and Crematory.

Shirley was born January 25, 1937, at Bassett, Neb., to Clifford and Hazel L. (Carlson) Buckendorf. She grew up there and graduated from Rock County High School in 1955. She attended and graduated from the West Nebraska Methodist Hospital School of Nursing with her registered nurse degree in 1958.
On June 14, 1958, she married Alan Cross at Gering, Neb. She worked as an RN in the maternity department at West Nebraska Methodist Hospital for 20 years, before moving to Kimball in 1983.
She worked at both the Kimball County Hospital and the Kimball County Manor Nursing Home. She was the first woman EMT in Kimball and Banner counties and worked with the rescue squads in both. She was also a school nurse in Harrisburg.
In 1991, the couple moved to Scottsbluff, and Shirley worked at Heritage Health Care Center in Gering until ill health forced her retirement in the fall of 1993.
Survivors include husband Alan Cross of Scottsbluff; sons and daughters in law Joel and Shelly Cross of Harrisburg, Mark Cross of Lincoln and James and Lisa Cross, of Harrisburg; daughters and sons-in-law Joni and Len Russell, and Marci and Jeff Ross, all of Scottsbluff; mother Hazel L. Buckendorf of Lincoln, Neb.; brother Dr. William Buckendorf of Springfield, VA; sister Sally Johnston of Lincoln; 16 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren

Ralph Cross
Former Banner County resident Ralph Cross died at his home in Sheridan, Wyo., Sept. 16, 2005. He was born June 7, 1937, to Harvey and Coral Cross. He is survived by his wife, Sandy; son, Justin of Washington; sisters, Irene Coen, Betty Hacker, Janie Necessary and Janice Wynne. He was preceeded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Christina Warner
Christina Marie (Avila) Warner, 47, formerly of Kimball died at her home in Livermore, California on Wednesday, March 10, 2004. A Memorial Mass was 10 a.m. March 15 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Kimball. The Reverend Robert Karnish will officiate. Memorial gifts may be made to the Christina Warner Memorial Fund to support the Toys for Tots program. Cantrell Funeral Home of Kimball is assisting with the arrangements.
Christina was born February 1,1957 to Trinidad and Violet (Salazar) Avila in Kimball where she lived and attended school, graduating from Kimball High. She was baptized at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
She married Steven Warner on March 15,1986 in Kimball. Together they moved to California that same year. Christina was very active in her work as a mail carrier and enjoyed interacting with her route customers. Her career began in Kimball and continued in California. She was highly involved with the Toys for Tots program and coordinated a local drive, which expanded from the post office, where she worked, into the surrounding community. Another joy of Christina’s was collecting angels. She loved all animals and a variety of flowers.
She is survived by her husband Steven of CA; one son, Adam Warner of Kimball; mother Violet Avila of Scottsbluff, NE; two brothers Ed and wife Kathy Avila of Kimball, and Ted and wife Pam Avila of Loveland, CO; a step-brother Robert and wife Pat Salazar of Corvallis, Oregon; one sister, Mitzie Johnson of Chandler, AZ; father and mother-in-law Jim and Ann Warner of Kimball; a brother-in-law Daryn Warner of Blacksburg, VA; sister-in-law Christy and husband John Selves of Tacoma, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Trinidad. Christina loved to make others laugh and was a wonderful mother and a good friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
Marvin Schacher
Marvin F. Schacher, 80, of Pine Bluffs, Wyo., died March 4, 2004 at United Medical Center West. He was born February 7, 1924 in Sidney, Neb. and had lived in Pine Bluffs all of his life. He served in t he Air Force during World War II. Upon returning from duty, he finished high school in Pine Bluffs and graduated with the class of 1944.
Marvin hauled bulk fuel and oil for various companies from Kimball County, Neb. to Laramie County, Wyo. He owned and operated Marv’s Texaco for a number of years, selling out in 1978. He then worked for Laramie County Road and Bridge and retired n 1990.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Pine Bluffs, Knights of Columbus, former member of the Elks and Chamber of Commerce, and was a Charter member of the Pine Bluffs Heritage Society.
He is survived by his wife, Elouise of Pine Bluffs, whom he married July 28, 1949; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Judy Schacher of Denver; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Steve Fornstrom of Pine Bluffs, and Geri and Deland Clements of Cheyenne; a sister, Mary Roth of Pine Bluffs; an aunt, Agnes Mathewson of Cheyenne; four grandchildren: Zach and Tacha Fornstrom, and Clint Fornstrom of Pine Bluffs, Cade Schacher and Shelby Schacher of Denver; three great-grandchildren: Jaiden, Jesse, and Johanna Fornstrom of Pine Bluffs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons: John Schacher, and Dennis Schacher; and brother William Schacher.
Funeral liturgy was held March 9 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Rev. Hugo Blotsky as celebrant. Services were under the direction of Weiderspahn-Radomsky Chapel, with interment
in the Pine Bluffs Cemetery. Military honors were provided by the American Legion Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Zach Fornstrom, Clint Fornstrom, Cade Schacher, Shelby Schacher, Marty Roth, and Gary Roth.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association of Wyoming, the Heart Association of Wyoming, the Pine Bluffs Heritage Society, or a charity of your choice.
Mae E. Tibbits
Mae "Micky" Eloise Tibbits, 100, passed away at Mountain Towers Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cheyenne, Wyo. on March 11, 2004. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sat., March 20 at Cantrell Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Hunzeker officiating. Interment
will be in the Bushnell Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 6 p.m. on Fri., March 19. Cantrell Funeral Home of Kimball is assisting with the arrangements.
Mae was born on April 21, 1903 in a sod house near Loretta, NE, on her parents’, Charles and Isadora Kerns, homestead. Her parents were Oregon Trail Pioneers. She was previously married to Harpe Evans and later Oral Case. Mae married Chet Tibbits at Duncan, Okla. on January 3, 1943.
She was a professional seamstress and operated her own alteration business near Fort Sill army base where Chet served in the military. After WWII, they moved to Pine Bluffs, Wyo. where they owned and operated Chet’s Sinclair Service and Micky's Burger Bar, a well known and popular cafÈ at that time. In 1950 they moved to a rural acreage near Bushnell, Neb. on the Lodgepole Creek. Following Chet's death in 1989 Mae continued to live on her acreage until age 97, marking almost 50 years at that location.
Mae was an avid gardener and raised flowers of all kinds, sometimes staying outdoors from dawn till dusk. She expressed her endless creativity in hand-painted china, hand-braided rugs, quilts of her own designs and birdhouses.
She is survived by her son Ron Tibbits of Cheyenne, Wyo; a daughter Lois Woody of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a step-son Richard Tibbits of Casper, Wyo.; and a step-daughter Alma Howell of Casper, Wyo.; four grandchildren: Harpe and Kelly Woody, Lissette Dunn and Michelle Schmidt; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chet Tibbits, her parents, six brothers, four sisters and a grandson Robin Woody.
Albert A. “Bert” Kenzy
Albert "Bert" Kenzy, 93, of Albin, Wyo., died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the Lifecare Center in Cheyenne, Wyo.
A memorial service was held March 8, 2004 at the Albin Community Center with Pastors Dick Young and Donald Blomberg officiating. Friends who wish may contribute to the Albin Ambulance Fund or Albin Community Center.
Albert was born July 19, 1910, on the Kenzy Ranch near Lucas, S.D., to Charles and Ellen Jane Kenzy. He married Vivian Livingston on April 7, 1933, in White River, S.D. He was a rancher and farmer and owned a service station. He was also a deputy sheriff, brand inspector, school bus driver and served on the Albin Town Council. He was active in the Lucas Baptist Church and loved to bowl, fish and hunt.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Kenzy of Albin; son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Darlene Kenzy of Sidney; daughters and sons-in-law, Maxine and George Lee Rosa of Albin, Jonne and Jim Moore of Albin, and Jacque and Don Halsey of Omaha; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, six sisters and his parents.
Robert Aue
Robert A. Aue, 70, of Mitchell, Neb. and formerly of Kimball and Potter, died March 8, 2004 at his home. The celebration of Bob's life will be on Saturday, March 13 at Mitchell High School at 10 a.m. with food and fellowship to follow. Pastor Scott Mathis and Pastor Doug Keener will share about Bob's life. A memorial has been established to the Mitchell Berean Church Building Fund for the Glory of Christ.
Bob was born in Kimball County, on September 26, 1933 to Cree and Viola (Walker) Aue. He grew up in Kimball County and attended Kimball County High School, graduating in 1952. Bob's high school days were active with Demoley, sports, music, 4-H, and Future Farmers of America of which he was a State Farmer in 1952. Bob had a lead role in several one act plays. He attended both the University of Nebraska Ag School and Colorado State University for two and one-half years before entering the Army in 1955.
After an honorable discharge, Bob farmed and ranched in the Kimball area with his father until his father's death in 1960. During that time Bob married and had three daughters, Lynette, Jody, and Trisha. In 1969 he met and married the love of his life, Jaci Dougherty Erickson.
Bob and his family lived on a ranch near Potter, Neb. While on the ranch Bob and his family raised cattle and sheep often times lambing as many as 1000 ewes. Bob was a major sheep producer and involved with Nebraska Wool Growers as a past president, charter member of Nebraska Sheep Council serving as president, and Director of North Central Wool Growers Four State Board. Bob and his wife Jaci organized the Southern Panhandle Sheep Telemarketing and managed that until 1983.
In the fall of 1983, Bob and Jaci moved to the farm at Mitchell. Bob went to work for the former KOLT Radio Station as Ag Director and more recently as salesman for KCMI, and currently served on the Board of Directors. He spent five years with Century 21 as a salesperson and auctioneer. Bob and Jaci raised Llamas for 15 years and worked with many area youth in a Llama 4-H Club.
Bob was a cattle order buyer for several area families and bought the cattle for the University of Nebraska for over 40 years. He and Jaci most recently operated the Snak Shak Lunch Wagon.
Bob will be loved and remembered by young and old as a man who lived what he believed.
Bob is survived by Jaci, his wife of 34 years, son, Robert and wife, Pat of Potter. Daughters Jeni of Cody, Wyoming, Lynette of Washington, and Trisha of Pawnee City, Nebraska, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother Gary, and daughter, Jody.
Doris Kath
Doris L. Kath was baptized into the assurance of Christ’s resurrection Wednesday Jan. 28, 2004 at the age of 71 years.
She was the beloved widow of Sterling Kath, formerly of Kimball.
A funeral service and Interment
were Feb. 3, 2004.
Jeanette Biberos
Jeanette Biberos, 76, of Kimball died on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at her home. Funeral services are pending at the Cantrell Funeral Home of Kimball. Her husband is John Biberos.
Recitation of the Rosary will be Thurs., March 4, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Fri., March 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
