Louise McClanahan
Louise McClanahan, 86, of Evansville, died Thursday afternoon at Woodlands Convalescent Center.
She retired in 1977 as manager of the cafeteria at Harrison High School. She formerly managed cafeterias at Hebron and Plaza schools.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and a past member of the Indiana School Corp. Food Service.
Surviving are a son, Jack of Evansville; a sister, Erma Roundtree of Indianapolis; a brother, Donald Ray Hadley of Winterhaven, Fla.; four grandchildren, Randy and Lee McClanahan, Debbie Rothert and Becky Kleeman; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 1960 and her daughter, Sandy Hughes, in 1993.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Posey Gaines officiating, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park mausoleum.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Ethel Lee Taylor, 87, of Evansville, died Thursday morning at Welborn Baptist Hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, the Maryknoll Order and Altar Society.
Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Mulligan of Owensboro, Ky.; a son, William J. Sr. of Evansville; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1968 and a daughter, Betty Lee Holland, in 1979.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at St. Benedict Church, the Rev. Gregory Chamberlin officiating, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.

JASPER, Ind. — Anthony C. Nordhoff Jr., 54, died Thursday morning at Jasper Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
He retired from Southern Hills Counseling Center.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Schnellville Conservation Club.
Surviving are his wife, Karen (Harker); two daughters, Brenda Kalb of Jasper and Shelia Jones of Glenrock, Wyo.; two sons, Anthony C. III of Henderson, Ky., and Steve of Evansville; five sisters, Lillian Fritz and Margie Knies, both of St. Anthony, Lucille Merkel of Hartford City, Mary Lou Kirst of San Dimas, Calif., and Monica Gutgsell of Schnellville; a brother, Charles of Indianapolis;and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with entombment in Fairview Cemetery mausoleum.

FERDINAND, Ind. — Raymond F. Bartell Sr., 77, died Thursday afternoon at Medilodge of Howell in Michigan.
He retired as a millwright for Kimberly/Clark.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366.
Surviving are his wife, Henrietta (Oser); two daughters, Barbara Carter of Woodbridge, Va., and Maryann Bartell of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; four sons, Raymond Jr. of Brighton, Mich., William of Alton, Ill., Robert of Perry, Mich., and James of Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Lucille Smith of Georgia and Bette Wessling of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, William of Appleton, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martin Catholic Church in Siberia, with burial in the church Cemetery, where American Legion Post 366 will conduct military rites.

He was formerly a patient at Evansville State Hospital.

LOOGOOTEE, Ind. — Robert Weisheit, 45, died Thursday night at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of natural causes.
He was a truck driver and farmer and a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield.
Surviving are two daughters, Audra and Valerie Weisheit, both of Loogootee; three sisters, Clara Holt and Alice Jones, both of Shoals, and Carolyn Wagler of Loogootee; and a brother, Paul of Loogootee.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martin Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

WASHINGTON, Ind. — Gladys Geneva Hill, 85, died Thursday morning at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
She retired after 30 years in the housekeeping department at Daviess County Hospital.
She attended First Christian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary Rohloff of Logansport and Lenora Melton of New Albany; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Charles E., died in 1979.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Gill Chapel, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

She worked part time at the Nisbet Inn.
Surviving are her husband, Lawrence; a daughter, Tammy Dyer of Athens, Ill.; two sons, Michael Parish and Tony Baang, both of Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Judith Smith of Killbourn, Ill.; two brothers, Edward and William Phillips, both of Springfield; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. — Betty Joyce Townley, 69, died Monday night at NHC Healthcare of Dawson Springs.
She worked 10 years as a dispatcher for Gretna, La., police department, was a security guard in Colorado and assisted her husband, the late Travis Ellis Townley, in an upholstery business.
She was a Methodist and a den mother for Little League and Girl Scouts.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan King of Gladewater, Texas, Kathryn Otterson of Dawson Springs and Pamela Rosales of Providence; a son, William of Teague, Texas; a sister, Carol Bourgeois of Marksville, La.; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in Piney Grove Cemetery.

HENDERSON, Ky. — Lora Haas Pyo, 34, died Friday at the home of her parents, James and Janice Haas of Henderson, of natural causes.
She was a social worker. She formerly worked with refugees in the Birmingham and Virginia Beach areas and as a refugee program consultant for the state of Georgia’s community programs unit of the social services.
She was a member of Oak Hurst Baptist Church and a counselor for a church-sponsored drug and alcohol rehabilitation program.
Also surviving are her husband of 10 years, Ken; three sisters, Sherri Utley, Kim Haas and Jamie Snow, all of Henderson; grandparents, James and Ann Haas of Pacific, Mo.; and nephews.
Arrangements are pending at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Hospice.

Rev. Don Lemon
HENDERSON, Ky. — The Rev. Don Lemon, 51, died Friday morning at Community Methodist Hospital of injuries suffered in a tree-trimming accident.
He was pastor of New Life Fellowship Missionary Church. He ministered at Redbanks Nursing Home and for 20 years to inmates at Henderson County Detention Center, the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex at Eddyville, Green River Correctional Complex at Central City and Marion Adjustment Center at St. Mary.
He was a Vietnam-era Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley; a stepdaughter, Cathryn Cardwell of Henderson; a son, Eric Donald of Henderson; two stepsons, Jeffrey Snow of Baskett and Chester Ayers of Lexington; a sister, Wanda Holland of Henderson; three brothers, Raymond, Russell and Darrell, all of Henderson; two stepgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are three daughters, Joyce Odom of Houston, Pat Klein of Franklin, Tenn., and Myra Lee Sandidge of Mount Carmel; a son, Bud of Allendale; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Henry, died in 1954.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Vincennes, Ind.
