JASPER — Robert J. Mckee, 78, died Friday, March 3, 2006, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
He was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran. He retired from Cummings Engine and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Jayne Stewart Fitzgerald
Jayne Stewart Fitzgerald, 83, Henderson, died at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at Methodist Hospital.
Since 1945, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Chancel Choir and was a soloist. Jayne was born and raised in Owensboro and attended Settle Memorial United Methodist Church in Owensboro. She was co-owner in the family-owned and family-operated Fitzgerald Furniture business.
She was president of the Henderson Music Club, belonged to the Mary Ann Singers, was a member of a Henderson Homemakers Club and the Henderson Community Chorus, was a featured player in Civic Capers, and was a featured soloist of Alice P. Taylor Candlelight Service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice W. Fitzgerald, who died Dec. 19, 2004; and her parents, Cody Lee and Cora Mae Duke Stewart.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret "Meg" Fitzgerald Burnley and her husband, Ben, of Henderson; one grandson, Scott Fitzgerald Burnley at Western Kentucky University; two sisters, Carol Mosbey of Athens, Ga., and Joan Yeary of Harlan, Ky.; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Revs. Rebecca Curry and Gary A. Chapman will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Loye Anthony Stone
Loye Anthony Stone, 50, Henderson, exchanged time for eternity on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville following a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 9, 1956, the third of four children born to the union of Dorothy Harvey Stone and Douglas Norman Stone in Los Angeles, Calif.
Loye received his education in the Los Angeles School System, where he graduated from Fairfax High School. He was an avid sportsman, playing all sports. He was on the varsity football team at Fairfax and boasted of playing with and opposite Warren Moon, the NFL quarterback, in both junior and senior high school.
He remained an enthusiastic sports fan and could cite averages and other statistics.
Loye moved to Kentucky, the home state of his parents, in 1977, with his parents and two sisters.
He lived first in Louisville and later moved to Henderson. From an early age he worked with his father in the family business until his father's death.
He met and married Sandra Brown in 2002. No children were born from this union.
Loye loved his family and extended family. As a child in Los Angeles, Loye, his brother and sisters and his first cousins were inseparable, living together or in close proximity, playing, vacationing, attending school and church all as one big, happy family. This closeness continued and extended to the Harvey family when he returned to Kentucky.
At the time of his demise, Loye was employed at Vincent Plastics for 10 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted mother, Dorothy Stone; two sisters, Lolita Vondell and her husband, Larry, and Norma Nikita, both of Henderson; one brother, Michael Douglas and his wife, Anita, of La Habra, Calif.; one son, Anthony, now stationed in Iraq; one grandson; two stepchildren; four nephews, Jarrod Douglas, Blake and Brock, all of Henderson and Michael Jr. of Los Angeles; two nieces, Unique and Robyn; and one goddaughter, Cherie Love Robinson of Los Angeles; three uncles, John, Bennie and Lonzo Harvey, all of Henderson; six aunts, Ann Bradshaw of Atlanta, Moina Philips and Ovis Stone-Massey and her husband, Robert, both of Los Angeles, Freda Spaulding and her husband, Bernard, of Palm Springs, Calif., and Ruth and Margaret Harvey, both of Henderson; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Seventh Street Baptist Church. The Rev. Anthony Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Myrtle Lee Cook Loveall, 85, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, from pancreatic cancer in Fort Worth.
She was a singer, who had a weekly radio show in Evansville and toured with various Big Bands of the era.
She was a former member of Bennett Memorial Methodist Church in Henderson and a member of the Air Force Officers' Wives Club.
Survivors include her husband, retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Glenn R. Loveall; two daughters, Sharon Loveall of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Mary Ann Sherman of Fort Worth; one sister, Mary K. Brown of Cochran, Ga.; one granddaughter; two stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson; and a nephew, Donald Caton of Henderson.
Services were held Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at Greenwood Chapel. Burial was in D/FW National Cemetery.

Gilbert L. Smith, 77, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He retired after more than 35 years with General Foods. He was known by his fellow employees as “Whitey Smith.”
He was a 1941 Central High School graduate and was a World War II Army veteran, serving for five years in the Army Corps of Engineers.
He enjoyed gardening and landscaping.

She retired from the Roca Bar, where she had been manager for many years.
