JASPER, Ind. — Charles A. Bunner, 66, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Louisville of heart complications.
He was an Army veteran and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 2939.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Deanna; a sister, June Bamping of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Arvin of Cannelton and Walter of Evansville; and a half brother, Ross Riley of Cannelton.
Services will be at 1 p.m. EST Friday at Huber Funeral Home, with burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

MORGANFIELD, Ky. — Holly Nicole Goodwin, 7 weeks, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Methodist Hospital. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Surviving are her mother, Jennifer Goodwin; and grandparents, Terry and Donna Goodwin.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Whitsell Funeral Home, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Elsie Sandefur
CALHOUN, Ky. — Elsie Elson Sandefur, 76, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Riverside Manor Health Care Center of congestive heart failure.
She was a member of the Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis and attended the Calhoun Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Louis; and two sisters, Roberta Fotinakes of Ceneseo and Joanna Marciano of St. Louis.
Services will be at noon today at Muster Funeral Home, with burial in Calhoun Cemetery.

Patricia O’Flynn
OWENSBORO, Ky. — Patricia Ricketts O’Flynn, 73, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at her home.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the hospital guild.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Jay H.; a daughter, Kay Harper of Prospect; a son, Jay H. III of Centerville, Ohio; a sister, Martha McCarty of Escondido, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at James H. Davis Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.

UNIONTOWN, Ky. — Harold Jones, 69, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson of congestive heart failure.
He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 5488.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda; a stepdaughter, Lisa Peak of Waverly; a son, Jason H. of Uniontown; two stepsons, Dennis K. and Donald R. Girten, both of Uniontown; two brothers, J.D. of Moore, Okla., and T.J. of Russellville, Ark.; a grandchild; and six stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Morganfield, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Patsy Vaughn
DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. — Patsy Lorene Vaughn, 59, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center after surgery.
She had been a health care aide and was a member of the Charity Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Patty Ann Butler, Anna Brown and Sandra Orten, all of Dawson Springs; three sons, Randy, Ricky and Glen, all of Dawson Springs; five brothers, Elmer, Billy, Ernest Jr. and Robert Moore, all of Dawson Springs, and Rick Moore of Madisonville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Leona Millar
GRAYVILLE, Ill. — Leona M. Millar, 95, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Meadowood Nursing Home.
She was a member of Grayville First United Methodist Church and was the oldest member of the local Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law who cared for her, Charles and Clara Pritchett of Grayville; a sister, Mae Horste of Vandalia; and two grandchildren, Penny and Brady Pritchett.
Her first husband, Lace Pritchett, died in 1940 and her second husband, Ben Millar, died in 1980.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Minnie Miller
CROSSVILLE, Ill. — Minnie Lee Miller, 82, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at the Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, La.
Surviving are two daughters, Wanda L. Nix of Plain Dealing, La., and Imogene Conrad of Fontana, Calif.; a brother, Harold Clayton of Madisonville, Ky.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Charles, died in 1992.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home, with burial in Stokes Chapel Cemetery.

Frank Fieber
ALBION, Ill. — Frank A. Fieber, 84, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
He was a farmer and retired from the Peoples National Band after 23 years as a director.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the 359th Field Artillery and in the 95th Infantry Division. He was in the Battle of the Bulge under Gen. Patton.
He received his bachelor’s of science in agriculture from the University of Illinois. He did post-graduate work in soybean research at the University of Illinois.
He was a Sunday school teacher and board member at the Fortney Methodist Church and later attended the Grayville First United Methodist Church and served on the board.
He was a member of Alpha Zeta and Gamma Sigma Delta Honorary Societies. He was a member of Edward County Farm Bureau, Grayville Gun Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Ag Alumni board of the University of Illinois.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Leona; two daughters, Janet Hortin of Albion and Ann Hays of Dallas; a sister, Carolyn F. Morton of Lexington, Va.; a brother, Virgil C. of Miami, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Mitchell and Michael Hortin, Margaret Hallden, Bryan Hays and Heather Raabe; four great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grayville First United Methodist Church, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Sturm Funeral Home.

Raymond Frick
MOUNT CARMEL, Ill. — Raymond E. Frick, 80, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at his home.
He was a farmer and retired from the Cairo and Danville Railroad Line after 42 years.
He was past president of the Legislative State Committee for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, member of the Farm Bureau, Big River Bend Saddle Club and past president of the Promenades Square Dance Club.
He was a World War II Army veteran and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Elks, Scottish Rite and Ainad Temple in St. Louis. He served as secretary of the Wabash Valley Shrine Club and was a 53-year member of the Masons.
He was a member of the First Christian Disciples of Christ Church.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn E.; two daughters,Kathryn Lawson of Washington, Ind., and Patricia H. Urbanski of Middle Island, N.Y.; two sons, Daniel R. of Urbana, Ohio, and James S. of Macomb; two sisters, Evelyn Schrader of Mount Carmel and Helen Lankford of Princeton, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church, with burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Short Funeral Home.

Lydia Newcomb
CARMI, Ill. — Lydia Newcomb, 83, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at White County Skilled Care.
She retired as a bookkeeper for Brown’s Feed and Chemical in Carmi.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Home Culture Circle, Business and Professional Women, Coleman Tri-County Service board and Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliaries.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Ann Mitchell and Mary McCombs Cummins, both of Carmi; a son, Donald Ray of Oak Park; two sisters, Louise Kiefer of Carmi and Mae Burrows of Crossville; five brothers, Charles, Robert, Leroy, Archie and Clarence Ray Brown, all of Carmi; six grandchildren, Mark, Kevin and Kyle Mitchell, Lynn Shiever and Alex Joe and Michele McCombs; 14 great- grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She donated her body to science.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi.

Ruth Harvey
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill. — Ruth Harvey, 72, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at her home.
She was a member of the Wesleyan Christian Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda Tewell, Barbara Yarber and Connie Harvey, all of Lawrenceville; three sons, Dennis of Lawrenceville, Tom of Trenton, Ohio, and Jeffrey of Summersville, W.Va.; a sister, Hazel Frazier of Lawrenceville; 18 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Junior, and two sons, Lonnie and Gary.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Smith Funeral Home, with burial in May Chapel Cemetery.

Opal Miller
Opal E. Miller, 87, died Jan. 17, 2000, at Columbia Health Care Center of cancer.
He worked for Greyhound Bus Lines for 10 years, International Harvester for 10 years and retired from Deaconess Hospital.
He was a member of the choir and deacon of Bethel Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are a niece and a nephew and his wife who cared for him, Robert and Mary Miller. His wife, Nannie, died in 1989.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Hope Baptist Church, the Revs. J.D. Marks Jr. and Emirch Tyler Jr. officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Nancy Kleiman
Nancy Ethel Kleiman, 84, of Evansville, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at her home.
She retired as manager of the North Park Libs Candy Store.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the quilting group.
Surviving are a daughter, Nan Benedict of Evansville; two sons, Jim of Evansville and Walt of Clifton, Va.; a stepsister, Frances McClain of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her husband, Theodore, died in 1973.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Wade Butler officiating, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery.

John O. O’Tain
John O. O’Tain, 85, of Greenwood, Ind., formerly of Evansville, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital and Health Center in Beech Grove, Ind.
He had been an engineer for Exxon for 33 years and was a utility engineer for the Indiana State Highway Commission for 14 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a 1938 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh He was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church and the church’s Keenagers and a former member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Evansville.
He was active with the Boy Scouts in Greenwood and in Evansville was on the Boy Scouts Council committee to establish Wesselman’s Park Nature Center. He was past president of the Greenwood Parks and Recreation Board.
Surviving are his wife, Claire Zoller; two daughters, Martha Mosemiller of Greenwood and Marilyn Jean O’Tain of Shelbyville, Ind.; two sons, Robert David of Evansville and John G. “Jack” of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Kyle O’Tain, and Sarah and Anne Mosemiller.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Lawrence, in 1958.
Services were in Greenwood at the Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Noble Malone
Noble Cortez Malone, 75, formerly of Evansville, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, in Lauderdale County, Ala.
He had been a construction worker and member of Teamsters Local 215 in Evansville. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy (White) of Somerville, Ind.; a daughter, Sharon Seib of Petersburg, Ind.; a son, Ed of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Pettus Cemetery in Lexington, Ala.

Eugene Finchum
Eugene F. Finchum, 89, of Columbus, Ind., father of Sandra E. Larrison of Newburgh, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He was a representative for Equitable of New York for 50 years. He was a member and Sunday school teacher for 60 years of the First Baptist Church, member of Indiana American Baptist Convention, Gideons International and Martinsville Masonic Lodge.
Also surviving is a sister, Edna Louise McCullough of South Bend, Ind.; two grandchildren, John E. Finchum and Laura L. Larrison; and two great-grandchildren. A son, Myron E., preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Barkes Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home in Columbus, the Rev. Jon Carlstrom officiating, with burial in Garland Brook Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church’s deacons fund or the Arthritis Foundation.

Lila Malloy
Lila B. “Bette” Malloy, 82, of Mount Carmel, Ill., formerly of Evansville, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of cancer.
She was an artist and a former chorus girl in New York City. She was a member of Free Methodist Church in Mount Carmel.
Surviving are nephews who cared for her, John and Archie Williams and Terry Toole, all of Chandler, Ind.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Free Methodist Church in Mount Carmel. There will be no visitation at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jacqueline Johnson
Jacqueline Elaine (Southard) Johnson, 34, of Alvin, Texas, formerly of Evansville, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Herman
Hospital in Houston. Cause of death is pending coroner’s investigation in Texas.
She worked at Wal-Mart in Alvin and was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a former member of Lincoln Trails Dressage Group.
Surviving are her husband of four years, Danny; two daughters, Bridget Nicole Austin and Victoria Rochelle Austin, both of Evansville; her parents, Bob and Anita Brenner of Evansville; a sister, Regina Dreesen of Evansville; a stepsister, Deirdre Van Allen of Evansville; a stepbrother, Kevin Brenner of Evansville; her grandmother, Delilia Joyce Phillips of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Gary Watson officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dave Ulrich
Dave Ulrich, 48, of Evansville, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at his home from cardiac arrhythmia.
He was a mechanical engineer with Professional Consultants.
He was a 1969 graduate of Rex Mundi High School and a 1973 graduate of the University of Evansville.
He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, the National Environmental Balancing Board and the Mechanical Contractors Association.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Marti; two daughters, Jennifer Ulrich of Bloomington, Ind., and Lee Ann Ulrich of Evansville; a son, Mike of Evansville; his parents, Marylou and Jim Ulrich of Evansville; a sister, Jeanne Schultz of Evansville; four brothers, Tom of Cheverly, Md., and Dan, Bob and John, all of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Cemetery. Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel is handling arrangements.

Nellie Marshall
Nellie Louise Marshall, 88, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
She was a member of the Methodist Temple, Dorcas United Methodist Fellowship and the Bible Study Fellowship.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Charles R.; a daughter, Nancy E. Sannella of Muncie, Ind.; a son, C. Richard of Columbus, Ind.; two sisters, C. Fern Bicking and Bernice E. Rose, both of Evansville; a brother, Robert L. Lawlace of Trinity, Texas; six grandchildren, Joseph A. and Stephen Sannella, Sueanne Shirzay and C. Kevin, Lisa N. and Kathryn E. Marshall; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist Temple, the Rev. Robert Coleman officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mildred Stivers
Mildred A. “Mickey” Stivers, 74, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center from a fall.
She retired from Faultless Caster. She was one of the first shoe saleswomen in Indiana working at the Shoe Box in Evansville. She had been active in the Democratic Party.
She was a member St. Benedict Cathedral.
Surviving are a daughter, Martha “Marty” Stocker of Evansville; two sisters, Carolyn Eissler and Marilyn Grief, both of Evansville; five brothers, Noble “Ed,” Ray, Clarence Jr., Roy “Dusty” and Louis; and six grandchildren, Laura and Edward Stocker, Bridget Fussner, Delbert, Jeffrey Allen and Kathy Jo Godby; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Harold Hammerstein officiating, with entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Paul Cox Sr.
Paul V. Cox Sr., 68, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of cancer.
He was a member of the Owls and Veterans of Foreign Wars Helping Hands.
Surviving are three daughters, Lori Cox of Mount Vernon, Ind., Andrea Lee Cox and Debra Lynn DeVold, both of Evansville; a son, Paul Jr. of Longmont, Colo.; two sisters, Margaret Meyers and Charlotte George, both of Evansville; a brother, Richard of Evansville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Garry Lanham officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Ralph Dickey
MOUNT VERNON, Ind. — Ralph Eugene Dickey, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Westpark Rehabilitation Center in Evansville of pneumonia.
He worked for the Heath Candy Co. in Robinson, Ill., for 5 years and retired after 33 years with the Marathon Oil Co. as a transport driver in 1986.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a Pearl Harbor survivor.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Beulah Lodge 578 and former member of the Civitan Club.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Vera (Boldrey); a daughter, Sondra Seibert of Shelbyville, Ky.; a grandson, Kenan Seibert; a great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home Mount Vernon Chapel, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville, with military rites.

Mary White
OWENSVILLE, Ind. — Mary Lucille White, 87, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Owensville Convalescent Center.
She was a member of the First General Baptist Church and charter member of the Philathea Class.
Surviving are a son, Don Keith of Owensville; two sisters, Helen Rosenbarger and Jean Wood, both of Evansville; a brother, William E. Brown of Mount Carmel, Ill.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Louis P., died in 1963 and a son, Gerald W., died in 1990.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holder Funeral Home, with burial in Owensville Cemetery.
