Mr. Hardy had worked as a galvanizer in the steel industry. He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Hasselback and Arlene Lee, of Knoxville, TN, four sisters, Marie Elston of Haskell, Joan Rhinesmith of Ringwood, Barbara Hardy of Greenwood Lake, NY, Diane Hazel of Monroe, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife Alma (Valentine) 1977. George J. Hellmuth, 93, of the Pompton Plains section of Pequannock died Saturday February 5, 2005 at the St. Joseph’s Hospice in Wayne. Born in Quincy, Ill, he had resided in Pompton Lakes prior to moving to Pompton Plains 2 years ago. He had been employed as an Executive Engineer for AFD Industries of Montvale, NY. He served in the US Army Air Corps in World War II as a Major. He was a member of St. Mary's RC Church and Seniors, and the VFW Post 2906 of Pompton Lakes. He is survived by his wife the former Dorothy Prange. 2 sons, George Michael Hellmuth of Bohemia, LI. NY and Christopher Hellmuth of Middle Island, LI , NY and 1 daughter, Nanette Tiano of Calverton, LI, NY, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Edward Hughes, 74, a retired auditor for Passaic County Comm. College, where he worked for 15 years, died Thursday, March 17, 2005 at his home in Pompton Lakes. Not only was Mr. Hughes a member of Pompton Lakes VFW Post 2906, but he was also their Chaplain and Officer. He was, also, an Adjutant and Quarter Master for the State for District ONE. He was a member of St. Mary's RC Church. Mr. Hughes was a resident of Pompton Lakes for 30 years, coming from Long Island City, NY. He is survived by his wife Georgine, three sons, Thomas Hughes of Hewitt, Robert Hughes of Pompton Lakes, John Hughes of Pompton Lakes, two brothers, Kenneth Ross of Lakewood, Ronald Ross of Lithonia, GA, and one grandson, Robert Hughes. He was born November 26, 1930 in Long Island City, New York the son of Bernard and Dorothy (Feurehan) Hughes. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict . Hanlon, Rose A. (Domnik), age 50, a homemaker died on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Passaic Beth Israel Hospital. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Hanlon has resided in Hewitt for the past 14 years moving here from Haledon. She is survived by her husband, Edward J. and one son, Scott Domnik both of Hewitt and her mother, Janice C. Swift of Jersey City, NJ. Also survived by a brother, Edward Domnik Jr. and a sister, Linda Rojas both of Jersey City, NJ and one granddaughter, Brielle Domnik. Predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Domnik. There will be a prayer service at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at 10 AM. Frances P. Hoffer, 98, a retired self-employed beautician, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Mrs. Hoffer was a member of the West Milford Golden Agers. Mrs. Hoffer lived in West Milford, NJ for 55 years. She is survived by Mary Lou Eastep (Friend) of Parkland, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband James (1963). She was born April 01, 1907 in Michigan the daughter of Martin and Mary (Koprowski) Kwasniewski. Graveside Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. at St Joseph's Cemetery, Germantown Road, West Milford. Rev. Fr. Iafrate, Helen (Carpignano) age 91 died Monday, April 11, 2005 at her home in West Milford. She was born in NYC on Dec 26, 1913; lived in Ft Lee before moving to West Milford in 1921. When she came to W. Milford there was no school bus, so she rode her horse to school. The following year she took a horse and wagon . She served for more than 20 years as a local Girl Scout Leader. She was the first President of the West Milford Women’s Club. She served multiple terms on the West Milford Township Library Board including a stint as President. She held repeated terms as a Trustee of Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock. For two decades, she also served as President of the West Milford Township Chapter of Chilton Auxiliary. She was honored as Woman of the Year in the late 70’s. Mrs. Iafrate owned and operated (for 20 years) Villa Carpignano (now known as Momento’s) on Morsetown Rd in West Milford. She is survived by a daughter Dorothy Rudy of Healdsburg, CA, 2 grandsons: Jonathan Rudy of NYC and Michael Rudy of Boston Mass and a brother Julius Carpignano of West Milford. Predeceased by her husband Faust Jan 19, 1982 and a sister Louise Cartotto (1995). Funeral Service 10 AM Friday, April 15, 2005 at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Winifred D. Johnson 82, died Tuesday, at the Regency Gardens Nursing Center, Wayne. She was born in Brooklyn residing in Guttenberg prior to moving to Butler 10 years ago. She was the wife of the late George who died in 2002. Surviving is a daughter, Margaret Quinn, Little Falls. Predeceased by 2 sons George and Harvey and 1 daughter, Winifred. Jacyssin, John, 89, a retired maintenance worker for DePaul High School, where he worked for 25 years, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at his home in Bloomingdale, New Jersey. Mr. Jacyssin lived in Bloomingdale, New Jersey for 51 years and was previously from Mt View. He is survived by Fred (Butch) Jacyssin (Son)of Massachusetts, Frank Decker (Son) of Bloomingdale, NJ, Joan Kibler (Daughter) of Maryland, Jonnie Parisi (Daughter) of Vernon, NJ, May Deford (Daughter)of Maryland. He was preceded in death by his wife Naioma, and a son Fred L. Jacyssin. He was born September 01, 1915 in Passaic, New Jersey the son of Nicholas and Theresa Jacyssin. Nancy H. Jennings, (Reardon), 67, of Satsuma, Fl. died suddenly on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at Putnam Community Medical. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, formerly of West Milford, NJ, she had resided at River Villas in Satsuma since 1997 coming from Pleasant Mount, Pa. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Butler, N.J. She was also a member of the Dutch Reformed Church in Pompton Lakes, NJ. Ronald G. Krieger, age 58, died Tuesday December 14, 2004 in West Milford. Born in Montclair, he moved to Hewitt (West Milford Twsp) 47 years ago, coming from Little Falls. Mr. Krieger was a journeyman electrician for I.B.E.W. Local 102, Parsippany. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam war serving from 1966-68 attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. He is survived by his wife Dolores Krieger (Weilandt), his father Charles Krieger of Bearfoot Bay, FL; two sons Keith Krieger of Paterson, Ryan Krieger of Merced, CA; a brother Chip Krieger of Wilmington, NC; a sister Christine Krieger of Milford, NY; mother in law Juliette Braun and the Weilandt family, and six nieces. William J. Louttit, age 81, died Friday, December 3, 2004 at his residence in Hewitt, N.J. Mr. Louttit was born in Bronx, N.Y. and lived there before coming to Hewitt 10 years ago. He was a retired bus driver for Manhattan & Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority of New York. He was an Army veteran of WW II from 1941-45. He is survived by his two sons William Louttit of Ringwood and Keith Louttit of May Brook, N.Y; a daughter Joanne Louttit of Hewitt, and five grandchildren. William was predeceased by his wife Maria. He was a purchasing agent for Mastro Lumber in Union City before retiring. He was a WWII Navy veteran. He is survived by two daughters Celeste Etheredge of Butler and Linda Pustelniak of Highland Lakes, a son James M. He was a member of the Riverdale Fire Dept. for 28 years, serving as Chief for 8 years. He was a machinist for Royal Master Grinders, Oakland before retiring. He was also a WW II Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Mathews), a son Robert McCracken of Riverdale, and a brother Roger McCracken of Berwick, PA. He was predeceased by his daughter Brenda (1976). Mason, Stanley C., age 95, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at the Mainland Nursing Home in Northfield, NJ. Born in Yonkers, NY, he had resided in Pompton Lakes 45 years before moving here 11 years ago. Mr. Mason had been employed as a machinist before his retirement. He served in the US Army Air Force during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife the former Ruth Smith in 1988. Surviving is one son, Daniel of Hewitt, one daughter, Dorothy Olsen of Absecon, 1 sister, Winifred Jackson of Ramsey, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, December 28th at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Services will be Wednesday, December 29th at 11 AM with interment at the Pompton Reformed Cemetery.

Mr. Muenster was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Church of the Incarnation, Pompton Lakes, the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 25, Carlstadt. Mr. Muenster lived in Wayne for 54 years and was previously from Hoboken. He is survived by Alexander (Son) of New Bern, NC, Adele O. Roberts (Daughter) of Peapack, NJ, 4 grandchildren, Kathleen , Alexander, Rudolf , Kirsten , 5 Great-grandchildren Sarah , Kyle , Alexander, Sydney , Noah . He was preceded in death by his wife Anna (Bodenmann) Muenster. (2003). He was born January 15, 1908 in Krems, Austria, the son of Rudolf and Josephine Muenster. Visitation will be held at Richards Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Richards Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Palkewick will be officiating. Cremation private.

Maloney, James A., 78, the former owner/operator of James A. Maloney & Son Tree Service, West Milford, died Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pequannock Township, NJ. Mr. Maloney lived in West Milford, NJ for 50 years and was previously from Caldwell. Prior to starting his own business he worked at the Chase Manhattan Bank, NYC and as a milkman. He is survived by his wife "Betty" Helen Elizabeth (Newman), John Maloney (Son) of SC, James Maloney (Son) of West Milford, NJ, John Maloney (Brother) of Parsippany, NJ, Thomas Maloney (Brother) of Rochester, NY, Roger Maloney (Brother) of Houston, TX, Stanton Maloney (Brother) of Oak Ridge, NJ, Eleanor Callahan (Sister) of Caldwell, NJ, Mary Zipp (Sister) of Toms River, NJ, Catherine Carew (Sister) of St. Louis, MO, Veronica Parker (Sister) of Cherry Hill, NJ, Clayton Lowe (Sister) of Thousand Oaks, CA, 5 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Maloney, and his mother, Kathryn Stanton, Joseph Maloney (Brother), Edward Maloney (Brother). He was born July 02, 1926 in Montclair, New Jersey the son of Joseph and Kathryn (Stanton) Maloney. He served in the Navy during World War II having attained the rank of Seaman 1st Class. Mrs. McDougall lived in West Milford, NJ for 1 year and was previously from Queens, NY. She is survived by Elaine Collin (Daughter) of Vernon, NJ, Joan McDougall (Daughter) of NYC, NY, Karl Etzel (Brother) of Germany, Richard Collin (Grandson), Denise VanRiper (Granddaughter), Damian VanRiper (Great Grandson). She was preceded in death by her husband William in 1983. She was born June 02, 1914 in Germany the daughter of Karl and Carolina Etzel. Mansolillo, Yolanda (Zaolino), 84, a retired matron for West Milford Board of Education, where she worked for 35 years, died Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Oakland Care Center in Oakland, NJ. Mrs. Mansolillo (also known as "Mom") participated in the W. Milford Schools "Adopted Grandmother" Program and was a member and past president of the West Milford Golden Agers. Mrs. Mansolillo lived in West Milford for 40 years and was previously from Paterson. She is survived by Diane Tempsick (Daughter) of NC, Beverly DeLuccia (Daughter) of Wayne, NJ, Toni Amorisi (Daughter) of PA, Gloria Schugert (Sister) of West Milford, NJ, 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony in March of 2002. She was born January 06, 1921 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of Carmine and Lucia (Argenziano) Zaolino. Friends may call Richards Funeral Home, West Milford on Friday (1/21) from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church, West Milford; Rev. Fr. Sigmund Peplowski will be officiating. Burial will be in the St Joseph's Cemetery in West Milford.

Dorothea N. Milligan, 80, a retired clerk for Crum and Foster, Inc., Morristown, died Sunday, January 23, 2005 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, New Jersey. She was a 50 year resident of Pompton Lakes, and lived in Wanaque for 2 years. She is survived her son Barry Milligan of Pompton Lakes, a daughter, Genene Milligan of Bloomfield, a step-daughter, Candace Brandt of Wanaque, a brother George Raglan of Teaneck, and 2 sisters, Isline Mac Farlane of Bronx, NY, Janice Thompson of NC, and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James, (1988). She was born October 02, 1924 in Manhattan, New York the daughter of Eugene and Nathalie (Musenden) Ames. Visitation will be held at Richards Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 8:30 P.M. at Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Tpk., Riverdale. Cremation private.
