Mrs. Joyce Ann (Chambers) Summers, 74 Bristol, passed away Thursday, June 07, 2006 in Blountstown. Mrs. Summers was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania and had lived in Liberty County since 1957. She was of the Assembly of God Faith.

2 Sisters- Ora Polansky of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania and Mary Louise Sanders of San Mateo, California
5 Grandchildren- Heather Richter and her husband Michael, Angela Snipes and her husband Chuck, Crystal Arnold and her husband Dusty, Trystan Summers and Winter

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 9, 2006 from the Lake Mystic Cemetery with Sister Pearl Edwards officiating. Interment

Mr. George H. Switzer, 66 of Altha, FL passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006 in Blountstown. Mr. Switzer was born in Panama City and had lived in Apalachicola for most of his life, moving to Altha in 2000. Mr. Switzer had served in the US Air Force, and was a "jack of all trades" doing work in the funeral business, Trucking, Rental business and for Disney.

Mr. Homer Gregory Padgett, 83 of Blountstown, passed away Monday, May 22, 2006 in Blountstown. Mr. Padgett was born in Calhoun County and lived here for three years, prior to his death, moving from Ocala. Mr. Padgett was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by one brother John Padgett

Mrs. Eunice Thompson, 86 of Bristol, passed away, Wednesday in Pensacola. Mrs. Thompson was a native and life long resident of Bristol and was a member of the Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol where she had served as pianist for several years as well as playing for Sumatra Baptist Church in Sumatra.

Mr. Preston Bledsoe II, 33 of Blountstown, passed away Wednesday afternoon in Blountstown. Mr. Bledsoe was born in Starkville, Mississippi and had lived in Blountstown for the past 6 years. He had been a custodian at Blountstown High School and was a manager at McDonalds. He was a minister leading revivals in the area, preaching the word of God where he was called. Preston was a member of the Blountstown First Pentecostal Holiness Church and was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Faye Bledsoe.

Mr. Robert "Scooter" Darrel Lewis, 14 of Bristol, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2005 in Tallahassee, FL. "Scooter" was born in Tallahassee and was a lifelong resident of Bristol. He was a 9th grader in Liberty County school and enjoyed fishing, hunting, antique cars and cooking outdoors. He had been in JROTC and was a Ranger. He worked at the Doobie Brothers Restaurant in Bristol and attended the Bristol Christian Church.

Mr. Judson B. Elkins Jr., 86 of Hosford, passed away Friday, January 21, 2005 in Tallahassee. Mr. Elkins was born in Eldorendo, Georgia and had lived in Hosford most of his life. He was a retired pipe fitter for Richold Chemical Company and a member of the Mt. Zion United Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hosford. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army. During his service he was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

Mrs. Ernestine S. Alexander, 79, of Lynn Haven, Florida, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, January 7, 2005 in Panama City. Mrs. Alexander was born in Citra, Florida and had lived in Bay County since 1969. She was an active member of the Springfield Community Church and belonged to the Eastern Star. Mrs. Alexander was a longtime Avon sales representative and devoted homemaker.
