Joan D. Faber, of Maryville, formerly of Deer Park, New York, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at her home. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima parish in Alcoa.
She is survived by her husband, Francis A. Beulah Mills, age 92 of Maryville, died Thursday, July 27, 2000 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and was preceded in death by an infant daughter and son, Ronald Mills.

CARLYLE ``DICK'' ROBBINS
Carlyle ``Dick'' Robbins died Thursday morning, August 3, 2000, at 8:55 a.m. at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from ALCOA in Alcoa, TN. After retiring from the Aluminum Company of America, Mr. Robbins was active in the Blount County Rescue Squad and received several awards for outstanding service. He served as secretary-treasurer of the Blount County Rifle and Pistol Club until the club disbanded. He was a 50 Year member of the George Washington Lodge 181. Mr. Robbins was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church, where he was active as a Trustee and member of the Administrative Council.
Survivors include: wife, Nancy Mildred Clemens Robbins; sons, Donald Clemens of Woodsfield, Ohio, Wayne Carlyle of Maryville, TN, Howard Allen of Oxnard, CA; daughters, Norma Jean Helton of Killen, AL, Betty Kathryn Weaver of Louisville, TN, Dianne Robbins Cooper of Friendsville, TN; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three-great-great-grandchildren.

RETIRED MASTER SGT. GLENN TERRENCE TIPTON
Retired Master Sgt. Glenn Terrence Tipton, age 63, died Wednesday, July 26 in a Durham, N.C. hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Tipton was born Sept. 20, 1936 in Townsend, son of Glenn Stanley Tipton and Maude Walker Tipton. He was a graduate of Townsend High School and attended Maryville College. He joined the Air Force in 1955, serving more than 20 years with assignments in the U.S., Europe, Johnston Island, and Thailand during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Air Force, he joined Shoney's Inc. and worked for them until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed playing sports, especially softball, and shooting. He won many trophies as a member of the Palmetto Gun Club.
Surviving are his loving wife, Gayle Bailey Tipton of Summerville, S.C., her children, Kerri Tidwell and Ryan Tidwell; his son, Steve Tipton of St. Augustine, FL; his sister, Shirley Greaser and husband, Dan of Knoxville; his nieces Dawn Zilles and family of Dewitt, MI, Leigh Sterling and family of Maryville; and his nephew Eric Greaser and family of Houston, TX.

William Henry Beard, 68, of Maryville, died Thursday, August 3, 2000 at his home. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of The Latter Day Saints. He was a Veteran of the Korean War.

Lou Breazeale age 91, of Knoxville, TN, passed away August 2, 2000, at Fort Sanders Medical Center. She was a member of St. John's Cathedral, Knoxville, TN, confirmation May 24, 1959. She retired from the Knoxville City School system after having started her teaching career in 1929 in Loudon County. Preceded in death by father and mother, J.I. Breazeale Sr. and Mary Hill Breazeale; brothers Earl, Jackson and William Breazeale, sisters Lois and Lexie Breazeale and Nina House.
Survivors: brother, J.I. Breazeale Jr., Maryville; sister, Mary Faye Sanders, Loudon; nephews, William M. Breazeale, Lenior City, Joe Ed Breazeale, Hickory, NC, Robert J. Timothy Ray Kasemeyer, age 42 of Greenback went to be with Jesus, Friday, August 4, 2000 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He attended First Church of God of Maryville. He served in the Army and was a member of the Air National Guard. He worked for the Metropolitan Airport Authority.

She was a member of Kagley's Chapel Baptist Church and was retired from the Maryville Department of Human Services after 21 years of service. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by two infant sons; her parents, James J. and Maud E. Henderson Baker; sister, Lodema Sanders; brothers, R.L. Baker, W.D. Baker and Earl Baker.
