Bearce - Crown
Friday March 8, 2002

Jennifer Bearce and Corey Crown, both of McIndoe Falls, were united in marriage on the evening of Sept. 15, 2001. The candlelight ceremony was held at South Congregational Church and officiated by the Rev. Steven Winkler.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white gown featuring a scoop neckline and cathedral-length train. The gown was accented by beadwork and cutouts. She carried a bouquet of yellow and white roses, stephanotis and ivy.

Danielle Kennedy, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lyndsey Farnsworth, friend of the bride; and Aimee Farnum and Lisa Crown, sisters of the groom. Attendants wore pale yellow chiffon, floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of yellow and white roses, stephanotis and ivy.

Joey Despins, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Jason Crown, brother of the groom; Ben Adams, friend of the groom; and Justin Bearce, brother of the bride.

Jill Bearce, sister of the bride, served as flower girl, and Alex Crown, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Fenton-Chester Ice Arena in Lyndon Center. The h'ors derves and cake were made by the bride's mother. Yellow roses and ivy cascaded down the cake, which featured a fountain and four side cakes.

Following a wedding trip to Disney World in Orlando, Fla., the couple reside in McIndoe Falls.

The bride is the daughter of Cindy Bearce of St. Johnsbury and Wayne Bearce of Barnet. The bride is a 1998 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and is a manager at Cindy's Pasta in St. Johnsbury.

The groom is the son of Harry and Kathy Crown of McIndoe Falls. The groom is also a 1998 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and is employed by Royal Electric Co. Inc. in Woodsville. He is studying to be a master electrician.

Wheeler - Lozefski
Monday January 28, 2002

Lora Wheeler and Troy Lozefski were united in marriage at an informal ceremony Sept. 21, 2001, due to the events of Sept. 11. The formal ceremony took place Oct. 19, 2001. Both ceremonies were officiated by the Rev. David Colwell at the Lyndon Center Baptist Church.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of raw silk embroidered with lace bodice featuring a scalloped lace neckline adorned with sequins and seed pearls. The train and waist-length veil were also adorned with lace and pearls. She wore a single strand of cultured pearls that belonged to her great-grandmother, Harriet Osgood. She carried a bouquet of white roses and purple daises.

Karla White, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Brian Halloran, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ring bearer was Braeden Langmaid, son of the maid of honor. Flower girls were Taylor Wheeler, daughter of the bride, and Arin Lozefski, daughter of the groom.

A reception, held at the Lyndon Outing Club in Lyndonville, was catered by the bride, Jeanine Porter, Teresa Switser and Karla White. The cake was made by Monique Poulin, friend of the couple.

The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Sandra Wheeler of Apollo Beach, Fla.

The groom is the son of Marie Lozefski of Hallowell, Maine, and the late Felix Lozefski.

The couple reside in Lyndonville.

Ruhlman - Daly
Friday February 1, 2002

Leisha Myung Ruhlman and Sean Philip Daly were united in marriage July 29, 2001, onboard the Essex on Lake Champlain.

The 4 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Mel Richardson with participation by the groom's cousin, the Rev. Dexter Alan Lanctot. The boat was adorned with garlands of greens and baskets of wild flowers. The bridal processional was "Trumpet Voluntary."

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white royal satin gown with matching shawl. Pearl beaded spaghetti strands accented the scoop neck bodice which featured embroidered flowers and pearls. The box-pleated skirt flowed to a chapel-length train. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of wild flowers including corn flowers, nigella, veronica, lemon freesia, blue delphinium and monte casino white daisies.

Jen Ruhlman, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marielle Henault, Lara Killian and Megan Daly, sister of the groom. They wore individually chosen, sleeveless, full-length gowns of periwinkle blue. Nosegays of wildflowers were carried, reflective of the bridal bouquet.

John Daly, father of the groom, served as best man. Serving as groomsmen were friends of the groom, Gary Nichols, Jamie Ryan, Mark Greenan, Steve Connelly and Dino Rosigno.

Guests attended from California, Ohio, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Virginia and Vermont. Following the ceremony the guests enjoyed a celebration cruise on the southern end of Lake Champlain. On its return to Charlotte, the wedding party was greeted by bag pipe music. The bride and groom were led off the boat by piper Derek Davidson, playing traditional Scottish and Irish wedding music.

A dinner reception was held at The Sunset Ballroom. The bride and groom danced their first dance to "It Had To Be You."

Following a wedding trip to Montreal, the couple reside at Fort Drum in Watertown, N.Y.

The bride is the daughter of Carroll and Donald Ruhlman of St. Johnsbury. She is a 1998 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and the Vermont School of Professional Massage. She is a certified message therapist.

The groom is the son of Denyse and John Daly of St. Johnsbury. He is a 1989 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and a graduate of St. John's University in New York City. The groom is serving a six-month tour of duty with the United States Army in Kosovo.

Davis - Valley
Friday March 8, 2002

Katrina M. Davis of Lyndonville and Joey F. Valley of Barton were united in marriage July 14, 2001, at Max's Dance Hall in Sutton.

The 4 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by Dennis Higgins, justice of the peace.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a short-sleeved dress with an embroidered and beaded bodice and train. The back of the dress was adorned with a large bow, a rosette and fringe. She carried a bouquet of red roses and baby's breath.

Raelyn Chase, friend of the couple, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Samantha Davis, sister of the bride; Nikia Drown, friend of the couple; Kimberly Brooks, cousin of the bride; Kelly Hudson, cousin of the bride; and Jessica Noyes, friend of the couple. Junior bridesmaid was Kaitlyn Sanville, friend of the couple. Julia Allard, friend of the couple, was the flower girl.

The maid of honor wore a navy blue dress with white bodice. Bridesmaids wore V-neck navy blue dresses with flowered bodices. The flower girl and junior bridesmaid wore white lace dresses. Attendants carried single roses with baby's breath, and the flower girl carried a basket of rose petals.

Brian Hamel, friend of the couple, served as best man. Ushers were Eric Noyes, friend of the couple; Keith Hudson, cousin of the bride; Joshua Mathewson, friend of the bride; Chad Hudson, cousin of the bride; and Tom Valley, brother of the groom. The ring bearer was Hunter Chase, friend of the couple.

The reception was also held at Max's Dance Hall. The four-tiered wedding cake was decorated with blue and white roses and topped by a pair of doves. The cake also featured a water fountain surrounded by doll attendants and stairs on both sides of the cake.

The couple reside in Barton with their daughter, Jasmine Marie Valley.

The bride is the daughter of Brenda Davis of Barton and Russell Davis of Lyndonville. She is a 1998 graduate of Lyndon Institute. She is a full-time mother.

The groom is the son of Francis and Nancy Valley of Barton. He is a 1993 graduate of Lake Region Union High School and a 1995 graduate of New England Culinary Institute in Essex. He is a deli manager in Derby Line.

Baker - Punderson
Friday March 8, 2002

Sandra Ann Baker and Scot Christopher Punderson, both of Wells River, were united in marriage Aug. 4, 2001, at the Ryegate Presbyterian Church in Ryegate Corner.

The 3 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Catherine Cook. Special music was provided by Nancy Perkins. An arrangement of yellow and white daisies and burgundy carnations decorated the altar of the church.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless, floor-length gown of white satin adorned with beaded lace. She carried a cascading bouquet of white daisies and burgundy carnations.

Leslie Murray, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Bobbi Peck, Amanda Thomson and Jennifer LaBrecque, friends of the bride. Brandy Murtaugh was the guest book attendant, and Amanda Murtaugh was the program attendant. Attendants wore floor-length gowns of burgundy taffeta. They carried bouquets of white and yellow daisies and burgundy carnations.

James Punderson III, brother of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Neil Baker, brother of the bride; Matthew Freedman, friend of the groom; and Steven Punderson, uncle of the groom.

The reception was held at the Franconia Village Hotel. The four-tiered wedding cake, made by Lois Welch, grandmother of the bride, was decorated with fresh white and yellow daisies and burgundy carnations.

Following a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Wells River.

The bride is the daughter of Peter and Murdena Baker of Groton. The bride is a 1999 graduate of Johnson State College with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is employed as a residence director at the Becket School, Pike, N.H.

The groom is the son of James and Barbara Punderson Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va. The groom is a 1997 graduate of Lyndon State College with a bachelor's degree in human services. He is employed as a case manager at Upper Valley Services in Bradford.

Johnson - Wheeler
Monday January 21, 2002

Lisa Ann Johnson and Robert Preston Wheeler were united in marriage at a garden ceremony Oct. 19, 2001, at The Lakes in Kannapolis, N.C.

The 7:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony was performed by the couples' pastor, the Rev. Lowell McNaney.

The processional and recessional was performed on a harp played by Evelyn Whitley. Dan and Karen Tarleton, friends of the couple, sang "The Family Prayer Song" accompanied by an acoustic guitar played by Dan.

Joy Goodwin, friend of the couple, presented wedding programs and directed the signing of the photo guest book.

The bride wore an ivory satin, floor-length gown with ivory straps and beaded bodice. The gown featured a detachable, beaded hemmed train. She carried a cascading bouquet of Casablanca and orange tiger lilies, yellow tea roses, oshiana roses, stephanotis, caspia and purple statice.

Attending the bride was the niece of the groom, Lisa Hampton, as flower girl. She wore a short-sleeved, hunter green velvet, tea-length dress with Battenburg lace trim. She carried a white basket of flowers matching the bride's bouquet.

Robert Wheeler Jr., son of the groom, served as ring bearer. He carried a satin, beaded pillow handmade by a friend of the bride. The groom and ring bearer wore black tuxedos with the groom in an ivory satin vest and the ring bearer in a hunter green satin vest.

Following a fall theme, the wedding reception was held at The Lakes in Kannapolis. Sherry Street, friend of the couple, put together a presentation of photos from childhood to their engagement. The presentation was set to the song "Unforgettable." The couple's first dance to "From This Moment" was done in dim lighting with friends and family circled around the couple holding candles.

The four-tiered chocolate and vanilla wedding cake was presented on cascading stands surrounded by varying heights of candles.

Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple reside in Kannapolis.

The bride is the daughter of Nancy Haslam of Lyndonville and Jack Lawson of West Palm Beach, Fla., and the granddaughter of Irvin and Opal Sargent, also of Lyndonville. She is a 1989 graduate of Lyndon Institute and a 1991 graduate of Champlain College. She works as a court reporter with Roberts & Kidwell, Inc., of Charlotte, N.C.

The groom is the son of Preston "Skippy" Wheeler of Lyndonville and the late Alice Janet Wandless. He is a 1987 graduate of Lyndon Institute. He attended Lyndon State College and Delaware State College. He is employed as a sales/service representative for Cintas Corporation in Charlotte.

Marcotte - Whitcomb

Shawna Marcotte and Todd D. Whitcomb of West Burke were united in marriage Oct. 13, 2001, at the First Congregational Church in Lyndonville.

The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Donald Vincent.

Given away by her stepfather, the bride wore a short-sleeved, princess-style gown with semi-cathedral train, adorned with sequins and pearls over re-embroidered lace. Roses and embellished streamers decorated the V-neckline of the gown. The bride also wore a crown of sequins and pearls with a detachable veil and carried a bouquet of green and white carnations and white roses.

Shyanne Marcotte, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tonja Jardine, Kirsten Letourneau, Monica Allen and Amanda Allen, all friends of the couple. Junior bridesmaid was Jessica D. Smith, cousin of the bride. Flower girls were Kayla, Kassie and Kelsie Jardine, friends of the couple.

Attendants wore floor-length, hunter green dresses, and the flower girls wore white, sleeveless dresses made by their grandmother, Peggie Parker.

Steve Parker II was the best man. The ushers were Ronnie Butterfield Jr., Paul Goyet and Dean Switser Jr., all friends of the couple; Roy Fox, cousin of the groom; and Michael Smith Jr., cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Cody Smith, cousin of the bride.

The bride and groom arrived at the reception, held at The Packing House Lounge, in an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer truck driven by the groom's father. The star-dust-style cake featured a fountain and flowered stairways and was topped by a wedding couple.

The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Cindy Hall of West Burke and the late Timothy Marcotte. She is a 1998 graduate of Lyndon Institute. She is employed by Citizens Savings Bank & Trust Co.

The groom is the son of Douglas Whitcomb of Lyndonville and Donna Fox of Concord. He is a 1994 graduate of Lyndon Institute and a 1996 graduate of Central Maine Technical College. He is employed by NSA Industries.

The couple reside in West Burke.

Mayberry - Letourneau

Mr. & Mrs. Timothy Chad Letourneau

Jennifer Lynn Mayberry of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and Timothy Chad Letourneau of McIndoe Falls, Vt., were united in marriage Nov. 12, 2005, at 3 p.m. at the Ryegate Corner Church in Ryegate Corner, Vt.

The Rev. Catherine Cook officiated the double-ring ceremony. Poinsettias decorated the altar of the church. Nancy Perkins, former teacher of the bride, served as organist.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, Doug White. She wore an A-line, spaghetti-strap satin gown featuring a beaded bodice and 5-foot train. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses, and ivy and baby's breath, arranged by the mother of the groom.

Cathy Pemberton, friend of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Shannon Goehring, Stephanie Campbell and Amanda Hayes, friends of the bride; and Michaela Letourneau, cousin of the groom. Junior bridesmaids were Stephanie Sottile, Justice Aldrich and Destiny Pemberton. Flower girls were Christina Goehring and Raven Pemberton.

The matron of honor wore a silver A-line, spaghetti-strap, chiffon dress accented by a silver shawl. Bridesmaids wore red, A-line chiffon dresses with red shawls. Junior bridesmaids wore red cordoroy dresses made by the grandmother of the groom. Flower girls wore red and black plaid dresses. Attendants all carried bouquets of red and white carnations arranged by the mother of the groom.

Philip Hinton, friend of the groom, was the best man. Ushers were Nick Barber and Steve Sottile, friends of the groom; Jesse Aldrich, cousin of the bride; and D.J. White, brother of the bride. Junior groomsman was AndrŽ Letourneau, cousin of the groom.

A reception was held at the Woodsville American Legion in Woodsville, N.H. John Rapoza, friend of the groom, was the disc jockey. The four-tiered wedding cake, featuring a lighted fountain, was decorated with red candy roses and silver leaves. The cake was made by Brent Aldrich, uncle of the bride.

Following a wedding trip to Walt Disney World and Sea World in Florida, the couple reside in Harpwell, Maine.

The bride is the daughter of Dawn Bradley and Lenard Dube Jr., both of Woodsville, N.H., and Doug and Cindy White of Bath, N.H. She is the granddaughter of the late Albert and Hazel Bradley, and Mary and Buck White of Barnet, Vt. She attended Blue Mountain Union School. She is employed as a day-care provider and is pursuing further education.

The groom is the son of Thomas and Ramona Letourneau of McIndoe Falls. He is the grandson of Tom and Gracia Letourneau of Danville, Vt., Patracia Thompson of Derby Line, Vt., and the late William S. Thompson Sr. He attended Barnet School and graduated from Danville High School in 1998. He is stationed with the U.S. Navy in Brunswick, Maine.
