Winters - McKinstry

On a rainy afternoon, Julie Kate Winters and Patrick Lloyd McKinstry of Worcester were united in marriage April 26, 2003, at the Williamstown United Federated Church.
The 4:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Gwendolyn Hallsmith. Three former students of the bride -- Ellen Slade, violin; Sara Meiggs, piano; and Emma Meiggs, viola -- furnished music during the ceremony. Nancy Brumaghim, friend of the bride, read "A Promise of Marriage."
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown, adorned with flowers and pearls on the bodice and shoulder straps. She wore a ring of white daisies in her hair and carried a nosegay bouquet of roses and daisies.
Valarie Lively, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. She wore a powder blue sheath gown with daisy trim and carried a bouquet similar to the bride's. Flower girl Hope Lively wore a yellow gown and carried a basket of daisies.
Alan Beauregard, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Rhyse and Lee McKinstry. Greg McKinstry, nephew of the groom, carried the rings in a heart-shaped box decorated with pearls on a satin pillow. The groom and his attendants wore white shirts, black pants and rose boutonnieres.
A reception followed at the Capital Plaza in Montpelier.
The bride is the daughter of Marlo and Florence Winters of Williamstown. She is a graduate of Williamstown High School and Castelton State College. She is a first-grade teacher at St. Michael's School in Montpelier.
The groom is the son of Lyle and Janet McKinstry of Middlesex. He is a graduate of U-32 High School in East Montpelier. He is employed at Maple Corner Woodworks in Calais.
The couple reside in Worcester.
Tapia - Gray

Rosa Amalia Tapia and Dana Marshall Gray, both of St. Johnsbury, were united in marriage Aug. 3, 2002, at the Union Baptist Church in Waterford.
The 11 a.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Paul Powers. Decorations in the sanctuary featured a white trellis decorated with peach and white silk flowers and white lights. In addition, bouquets of silk flowers were placed on either side of the trellis. Also featured were two candelabra decorated with silk flowers and white candles.
Given in marriage by her son, Carlos, the bride wore a two-piece ensemble of pearl white satin featuring a sleeveless fitted bodice with a scoop neckline and full skirt falling into a chapel-length train. The bodice was adorned with seed pearls. She carried a colonial bouquet of white roses, alstroemeria and baby's breath.
Lois Knight, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cecilia Simonetta, friend of the bride; and Melissa Cameron, sister of the groom. Flower girls were Janet F. Tapia, Gissell Tapia and Ashley Hernandez. Attendants wore navy blue, full-length sleeveless gowns with matching shawls and carried colonial bouquets of peach alstroemeria, white and light blue miniature carnations, blue delphinium and baby's breath. The flower girls wore satin dresses accented with tulle and carried satin baskets filled with white sweetheart roses, miniature carnations and baby's breath.
Andrew Turner, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Daniel Simonetta and Seth Powers, both friends of the groom. The bride's son, Zachary, was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at Warner's Gallery in Wells River. The three-tiered wedding cake featured a fountain and was decorated with white roses, alstroemeria and baby's breath.
The couple enjoyed a western Caribbean cruise and now reside in St. Johnsbury.
The bride is the daughter of Felicita Sandoval of Pomona, Calif., and Rodolfo Tapia of Honduras. She is a 1990 graduate of Instituto Independencia in Santa Barbara, Honduras, and is employed by Emerson Falls Playcare.
The groom is the son of Dennis and Bonnie Gray of Lincoln, Maine. He is a 1994 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor's degree in journalism. He is employed as the general manager of The Caledonian-Record.
Lewis -- Lavigne

Christy Lewis of Williamstown, Vt., and Kevin Lavigne of St. Johnsbury, Vt., were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Oct. 22, 2005, at Hedding Methodist Church in Barre, Vt.
The Rev. Ralph Howe officiated the single-ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was attended by Holly Lewis, sister of the bride; Jill Lavigne, sister of the groom; Julia Lewis, sister-in-law of the bride; and Julie McGee.
Groomsmen were Nate Cloutier; Sean Lewis, brother of the bride; Scott St. Peter; and Kevin Merrow.
The reception was held at Suzannas Restaurant in Berlin, Vt. The four-tiered wedding cake featured an elegant, all-white design. The couple honeymooned at York Beach, Maine.
The bride is the daughter of Pamela and Michael Lewis of Williamstown, Vt. She is a 2000 graduate of Vermont Academy of Science & Technology and a 2001 graduate of Hallmark Institute of Photography.
The groom is the son of Doug and Dianne Lavigne of St. Johnsbury. He is a 1998 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and a 2002 graduate of Wheaton College. He is employed at Best Buy in Williston, Vt.
Godfrey - DeVoid

Angala Marie Godfrey and Randell Lee DeVoid, both of St. Johnsbury, Vt., were united in marriage Aug. 6, 2005, at the Grace Methodist Church in St. Johnsbury.
Pastor John Marshall Jr. officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony. Soloist Jill Gigure, a friend of the couple, sang during the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length white gown with beadwork adorning the bodice and one side of the gown. She carried a cascading bouquet of white and lilac roses and wore baby's breath in her hair.
The maid of honor was Beth Lafond, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Katrina Gray, sister of the bride; and Tanya Noyes, friend of the bride. The flower girl was Shainia Reios, daughter of the maid of honor.
The maid of honor wore a floor-length, purple gown with narrow shoulder straps. The bridesmaids wore knee-length purple dresses with spaghetti straps. Each attendant carried a single lilac rose with baby's breath. The flower girl wore a white dress and carried a basket with red rose petals.
Nathan Marshell, son of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Donnell Dupree, stepfather of the bride, and Larry Delosa, friend of the couple. Corey Ryan Godfrey DeVoid, son of the couple, was the ring bearer. The groom wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt. The best man, the groomsmen and the ring bearer wore black tuxedos with purple shirts. The groom, best man, groomsmen and the ring bearer all wore lilac rose boutonnieres.
The reception followed in the downstairs of the church. A friend of the couple deejayed the reception. The three-layered, white wedding cake, made by the sister of the bride, featured pink icing, pink and purple flowers, and a doves cake topper. The maid of honor created the candle centerpieces for the tables.
Following a wedding trip to the Hampton Inn in Littleton, N.H., the couple reside in St. Johnsbury.
The bride is the daughter of Gary Allan Godfrey of West Burke, Vt., and Marie Roseann Dupree of Waterford, Vt. Angala graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1993. She is a stay-at-home mother to the couple's 5-year-old son, Corey.
The groom is the son of the late Gary DeVoid and Jane Merrill. He is a 1997 graduate of Milton High School in Milton, Vt. He is employed at Kingdom Cleaners in St. Johnsbury.
Edwards -- Smith

Debra Lynn Edwards and Jesse Allen Smith, both of Lyndonville, Vt., were united in marriage Sept. 10, 2005.
The 4 p.m. double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Barbara Dwyer at Lyndonville United Methodist Church.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown with a diamond-pattern bodice and full-length train. She carried 18 long-stemmed red roses. Karen McCalla, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Meghan Tucker, Kimberly Walther and Beth Rodondi, all friends of the bride.
Attendants wore navy blue gowns and carried sunflower bouquets.
The groom was attended by his best man, Nick Emmons, friend of the groom. Dan Smith, brother of the groom, and Casey Houghton and Carl Sjolander, friends of the groom, served as ushers. Ring bearers were Joseph and Caleb Smith, nephews of the groom.
A reception was held at Warners Gallery in Wells River, Vt. The three-tiered white cake was decorated with seasonal flowers.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Donna Edwards of Lyndonville. She is a 1993 graduate of Lyndon Institute and a 1997 graduate of the University of Vermont, with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
The groom is the son of Dwayne and Evelyn Smith of St. Johnsbury. He graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1995 and is employed as a heavy-equipment mechanic at The Oliver Stores, Lancaster, N.H.
Following a trip to Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada, via the Rocky Mountaineer Railroad, the couple reside in Lyndonville.
Saunders - Giguere

Tiffany Lynn Saunders of Chesterfield, Va., and Ryan Robert Giguere of Richmond, Va., were united in marriage Oct. 15, 2005, at the Oaks Forest Baptist Church in Chesterfield, Va.
The evening, double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Larry Posey.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The maid of honor was Destiny Saunders, sister of the bride. Other attendants were Beth Griffith and Samantha Moseley, friends of the bride; Regina Saunders, aunt of the bride; Summer Saunders, cousin of the bride; and Shannon Ruggles, sister of the groom. The flower girl was Bailey Moseley, and the ring bearer was Cameron Ruggles, nephew of the couple.
The best man was Jason Chase, friend of the couple. Groomsmen were Wendell McFarland and Phil Nelson, friends of the groom; Shane Giguere, brother of the groom; Todd Ruggles, brother-in-law of the groom; and Freddie Saunders, uncle of the bride.
The reception was held at the Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, Va. Following a wedding trip to Caesar's Pocono Palace in Pennsylvania, the couple reside in Richmond, Va.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Terri Saunders of Chesterfield, and the granddaughter of Earl Saunders of Virginia.
The groom is the son of Mike and Claudia Giguere, the grandson of Joyce Cross and the great-grandson of Evelyn Cross, all of Newark, Vt.

Tamra Elizabeth Daine of Littleton, N.H., and Thomas Perry of Dalton, N.H., were united in marriage Aug. 20, 2005, at the home of the bride's parents on Partridge Lake Road in Littleton.
The Rev. Lynn McIntosh officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory, short-sleeved dress with a long train. In lieu of a veil, she wore a diamond-studded tiara.
Jessica Daine, sister-in-law of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Perry, sister of the groom, and Amanda Daine, niece of the bride. Emily Daine, niece of the bride, served as flower girl, and was escorted down the aisle by ring bearers Warren Perry, son of the groom; and Kaster Daine, nephew of the bride.
The best man was Ben Hess, friend of the groom, and ushers were Jeff Perry, brother of the groom; and Tyler Murry, family friend.
Immediately following the ceremony, guests from as far away as Ohio and Cape Cod enjoyed a reception arranged by Sarah Dean, friend of the bride's family. A disc jockey entertained the 150 guests, and the catering services were provided by Barbara Trahan, friend of the bride's family. The four-tiered wedding cake was made by Sherry Lufkin, cousin of the bride's mother. The cake featured a frog bride and groom cake top.
The bride is the daughter of David and Debra Daine of Littleton. She is a graduate of Littleton High School and she attended St. Joseph College of Maine. Tamra is a dental assistant for Carl Cicone.
The groom is the son of Conrad and Sue Forham of Littleton. He is a graduate of Littleton High School and is employed as the dining room manager at the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa in Whitefield, N.H.
Following a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, the couple reside in Dalton.
Nelson - Manley

Hannah Jane Nelson of Ryegate, Vt., and Michael Sherwin Manley Jr. of Whitesboro, N.Y., were united in marriage Oct. 15, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Ryegate Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. M. Catherine Cook officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Friends of the bride provided special music for the ceremony. Soloist Ashley Wheeler sang "Standing Right Next to Me," and "In this Life." Josh White and Abbey Gandin sang "The Prayer." The walkway to the church was lined with red, orange and gold mums. The church was decorated with potted mums and white candles.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a one-piece, slim, A-line gown with back zipper closure. The dress featured a sophisticated silhouette with a plunging draped neckline. The bodice waist was accented with a beaded tulle lace. Beaded shoestring straps crossed at the back of the gown. She carried a bright, cascading fall arrangement.
Betsey Nelson, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Michael S. Manley, father of the groom, was the best man.
The reception was held at the Warners Gallery Restaurant in Wells River, Vt. The chocolate wedding cake was decorated with buttercream frosting and fall mums. The cake table highlighted wedding photos of the bride's and groom's parents and grandparents. The reception culminated with a fireworks display.
Following a wedding trip to York, Maine, the couple reside in Ryegate.
The bride is the daughter of William and Jennifer Nelson of Ryegate. She is a 1993 graduate of Blue Mountain Union School, and a 1997 graduate of Lyndon State College. She is employed as the director of alumni relations and development at LSC.
The groom is the son of Michael and Mary Alice Manley of Whitesboro. He is a 1996 graduate of Whitesboro High School and a 2000 graduate of Mercyhurst College. He is employed by the state of Vermont.
