Devin Goss of Rutland, Vt., and James Applebee of Ryegate, Vt., were united in marriage Sept. 10, 2005, at the Ryegate Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. M. Catherine Cook officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was given away by her father. Sarah Rock, friend of the bride, was the matron of honor. She was also attended by Megan Goss, sister of the bride; and Christina Johnson, sister of the groom.

Ethan Nelson, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Stephen and Shawn Applebee, brothers of groom; Ryan Goss, brother of bride; and Randy Johnson and Ben Simpson, friends of the groom.

The reception was held at the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, Vt.

Following a Caribbean cruise as a honeymoon, the couple reside in White River Junction, Vt.

The bride is the daughter of Philip and Alice Goss of Rutland. She is a 1996 graduate of Rutland High School, and a 2000 graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in microbiology and molecular genetics and a 2002 graduate of Arcadia University with a degree in genetic counseling. She is employed as a genetic counselor at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

The groom is the son of Willis and Joanne Applebee of North Haverhill, N.H. and Deborah Elliott of Ryegate. He is a 1994 graduate of Blue Mountain Union High School, and a 1998 graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in elementary education. He is employed as a supervisor with HP Cummings Construction Company.

Lenz - Douglas
Saturday January 10, 2004

Sarah Claire Lenz of Freeport, Maine, and Brian Scott Douglas of St. Johnsbury, were united in marriage Sept. 20, 2003, at the First Congregational Church in Yarmouth, Maine.

The 10 a.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Gilman Healy, and the nuptial blessing was performed by the groom's grandfather, Deacon Raymond Desilets of St. Johnsbury.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a short-sleeved, full-length, beaded off-white gown and carried a bouquet of sunflowers accentuated by miniature daisies.

Elise Marong, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Emily Lenz, sister of the bride; Rebecca Smith, cousin of the groom; and Erin Baker, cousin of the bride.

The maid of honor wore a full-length plum gown, and the bridesmaids wore matching forest green gowns. Each carried a bouquet of sunflowers.

The best man was Joshua Douglas, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Kenneth Glidden and Matthew Labounty, friends of the groom; and Bill Reinhardt, cousin of the groom.

A reception was held at the Lost Valley Ski Resort in Auburn, Maine. Following a wedding trip to Camden and Corea, Maine, the couple now reside in Essex, Vt.

The bride is the daughter of David and Rebecca Lenz of Freeport, Maine. She is a graduate of Freeport High School and attended Vermont Technical College. She is employed by Mt. Mansfield Animal Hospital in Jericho, Vt.

The groom is the son of Michael and Christine Douglas of St. Johnsbury. A 1995 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and graduate of Vermont Technical College, he is employed by Suss Microtec in Waterbury Center, Vt.

Blaisdell - Potter
Saturday December 20, 2003

Angela C. Blaisdell of Lunenburg and Albert J. Potter of Maidstone were united in marriage July 26, 2003, at the Lancaster Assembly of God Church in Lancaster, N.H.

The Rev. James Michaels officiated the 11 a.m. ceremony.

The matron of honor was Melissa Abbott, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Jessica Blaisdell, sister of the bride, and Jennifer Colby, friend of the bride. The best man was David White. Groomsmen were Jeff Adam and Dean Demers. The flower girl and junior groomsman were Hayley Abbott and Logan Abbott, niece and nephew of the bride.

An outdoor reception was held in a field on the Blaisdell farm in Lunenburg.

Following a wedding trip to Lake George, N.Y., and Quebec, Canada, the couple reside in Gilman.

The bride is the daughter of Carl and Theresa Blaisdell of Lunenburg. She is a 1999 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, attended Lyndon State College and graduated from the N.H. Community Technical College at Berlin in 2003, with a degree in nursing.

The groom is the son of Gloria (Phelps) McLain and stepson of Larry McLain Sr. of Maidstone. He is a 1996 graduate of Groveton High School.

Cisic - McLean
Saturday September 21, 2002

Maida Cisic of Indianapolis, Ind., and Dr. David E. McLean of Danville were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m., June 15, 2002, at Heavenly Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe, Nev.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Kaylie Haskins, niece of the groom, was the flower girl. She wore a dress made by the mother of the groom.

A reception followed at the top of Heavenly Ski Mountain.

The couple plan to travel to Bora Bora in February 2003. They reside in Danville.

The bride is the daughter of Emir and Fatima Cisic of Bosnia. The bride is a 2001 graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor of science degree in respiratory therapy. She is employed as a lead respiratory therapist at Copley Hospital in Morrisville.

The groom is the son of Michael McLean of Lititz, Pa., and Donna Anderson of Pittsburg, Calif. He is a 1996 graduate of California State University Humboldt with a bachelor of science degree in cellular-molecular biology, and a 2000 graduate of Indiana University Dental School D.D.S. He is employed by St. Johnsbury Dental Associates.

Peak - Hale
Saturday July 20, 2002

Bethany Ann Peak and Jeffrey Allen Hale, both of Danville, were united in marriage June 22, 2002, at the North Congregational Church in St. Johnsbury.

The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Jay Sprout. The altar of the church was adorned with two white tulip vases filled with pink and white alstroemeria and baby's breath. Traditional wedding music was provided by organist Jane Sager.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless, white satin, A-line gown with beading around the bustline. The cathedral-length train was also white satin and detachable. The bride wore a satin-trimmed, fingertip-length veil with a tiara. She carried a colonial-style bouquet of white roses, freesia and calla lilies with a silver bow.

Melissa Miller, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Cathy Demers, Angela Johnson and Karyn Hale, all friends of the bride; and Kathy Kendall, Stacy Kendall and Kimberlie Blaisdell, all cousins of the bride. Maggie Cooke was the flower girl.

The matron of honor and bridesmaids wore navy blue crepe, floor-length gowns with chiffon overlays. The dresses had empire waistlines and featured navy blue chiffon wraps. Their bouquets were 6-inch pomanders of baby's breath and pink alstroemeria and were carried by silver ribbons.

Sean Ducker, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Tom Cooke, Nathan Choniere, Shawn Locklin Marc Broughton and Scott Corey, all friends of the groom; and Rick Hale, cousin of the groom. Max Cooke was the ring bearer.

The reception was held at the Lincoln Inn in St. Johnsbury. A seven-tiered chocolate, white and marble cake with buttercream frosting in a basketweave design was made by Peggy Plante, friend of the family.

The couple went on a three-day Disney cruise followed by a six-night stay at The Caribbean Beach Resort in Orlando, Fla. The couple reside in North Danville.

The bride is the daughter of George Peak of White River Junction and Linda Peak of St. Johnsbury. The bride is a 1995 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and a 2000 graduate of Lyndon State College. She is employed by NEKCA Child and Family Development Program.

The groom is the son of Donald and Ernestine Hale of St. Johnsbury. He is a 1989 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and is employed by the St. Johnsbury Automobile Company.

Whalen - Tyler
Saturday November 22, 2003

Jesse Kara Whalen and Christopher Michael Tyler, both of Bath, N.H., were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m., July 6, 2003, at the home of the bride's parents.

The double-ring ceremony was performed by Mary Fowler, justice of the peace. A string trio played Handel and Bach for the processionals and "Shenandoah" for the bride's entrance. Arrangements of ivory and cranberry-tipped roses graced the wedding site.

The bride wore an ivory satin, strapless gown with Basque waist, A-line skirt, inverted and box pleats, and a chapel-length train. A filigree tiara and chapel-length veil with scattered and teardrop crystals completed the ensemble. She carried a nosegay of six, pink-tipped ivory roses, with satin wrapped stems.

Joy Fichiera, sister of the bride, and Arinn Roy, friend of the bride, served as the matrons of honor. Jennifer Whalen, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor, and Meghan Richardson, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. The attendants wore slate blue strapless matte satin gowns with caviar beading on the bodice and box pleats in the back. The flower girl wore an ivory satin gown with a carriage back and pink tulle insert.

The groom was escorted by the couple's Labrador/doberman mix. Robert Tyler Jr., brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Wesley Lavigne and Jason Bishop, friends of the groom. Tyler Fichiera, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

A tent reception was also held at the home of the bride's parents. The wedding cake was a three-tiered replica of the Eiffel Tower. It featured a chocolate orange flavor, raspberry filling and whoopie pie frosting.

Following a wedding trip to New Orleans, La., the couple reside in Bath.

The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Karen Whalen of Woodsville. She is self-employed as a partner of As You Wish Wedding and Formalwear of Littleton, and the Dress Depot of Woodsville.

The groom is the son of Sharon Readey and Robert Tyler Sr., both of Bath. He is a 1998 graduate of NH Technical College and is employed by the Littleton Police Department.

Labounty - Stone
Saturday August 23, 2003

Hillary Ann Labounty of Lyndon and Michael Dale Stone of Sutton were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m., July 26, 2003, in a flower garden at the home of the groom's parents in Sutton.

The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Ross Fields.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a long-sleeved, white satin gown with beadwork and lace accents on the bodice, sleeves and chapel-length train. Keith Labounty assisted his sister with her gown's train. She carried a silk bouquet of white roses, lilacs and ivy, made by Donna Percy, friend of the bride.

Pamela Barnes, mother of the bride, served as matron of honor. She wore an ankle-length, royal blue silk dress with spaghetti straps. She also wore a wrist corsage of white roses, lilies and lilacs. She carried the ring bearer, Zander Stone, the couple's son.

Jonathan Badger, cousin of the groom, was the best man.

An outdoor reception was also held at the home of the groom's parents. The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated with peanut butter frosting, and colored frosting flowers spiraled down the cake, which was topped with a white porcelain dancing bride and groom figurine.

The bride is the daughter of Pamela Barnes of Concord, Vt., and Elphege "Bud" Labounty Jr. of Lyndon. She is a 1999 graduate of Cabot High School and is employed as the assistant day-care director at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center.

The groom is the son of Audrey and Dale Stone of Sutton. He is a 1999 graduate of Lyndon Institute, and a 2000 graduate of Hobart Institute of Welding Technology. He is employed as a mechanic at Northern Gas Transport.

The couple reside in Lyndon.

Laliberte - Timson
Saturday April 19, 2003

Melissa Laliberte and Bernard "Kenny" Timson III were united in marriage at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25, 2003, at their home in Concord.

The double-ring ceremony, attended by 22 family members and friends, was officiated by Conrad Doyon, justice of the peace.

The bride carried a bouquet of yellow and peach roses, daisies, lilies and hyacinth. She was attended by Melissa Utley, friend of the couple.

Bernard Timson Jr., father of the groom, served as best man. The ring bearer was Nate Sanderson, son of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Susan Laliberte of West Charleston. She is a 1997 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and employed in the loan department at Passumpsic Savings Bank.

The groom is the son of Suzanne and Bernard Timson Jr. of East St. Johnsbury. He is a 1996 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy. He is employed as a deputy at the Caledonia County Sheriff's Department and was recently deployed overseas with the Vermont Air National Guard.

A formal ceremony and reception is planned upon the groom's return.
