Frizzell -- Lahar

Mary Ellen Frizzell of Charleston, Vt., and David Paul Lahar of Irasburg, Vt., were united in marriage June 21, 2003 at 1 p.m., at the Plymouth Congregational Church in East Charleston. The bride and her parents were chauffeured to the church in a 1966 Oldsmobile convertible by the bride's uncle, Robert Porter.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Michael Ford, a friend of the bride's family.
The church was beautifully decorated with garden flowers by friends of the bride. The greeter and guest book attendant was Homer Frizzell, brother of the bride. The organist was Adam Podd. The soloist was Sophie Miltner who sang "I will" and "Stewart's Coat," accompanied by Adam Vera on guitar.
Mitchell Lahar, son of the groom, and Sophie Miltner sang a duet "Concrete Sky," accompanied by Adam Podd on piano. Homer Frizzell and Kathy Austin, sister of the groom, were readers. Crew Bertrand and Dylan Lahar, nephews of the groom, served as bell ringers.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white chiffon A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline. The body of the dress had Venice lace appliquZs and seed pearls with long chiffon poet sleeves. The back was accented with covered buttons and a sweep train.
The bride's head was adorned with a tiara with a silk illusion veil which matched the Venice lace appliquZs on her gown. She carried a bouquet of roses and purple irises.
Sharon Belanger, cousin of the bride, and Tricia Gilding, friend of the bride, served as matrons of honor. The matrons wore chiffon A-line gowns in wisteria with a scoop neckline and short cap sleeves.
Junior bridesmaids were Ashley Frizzell, niece of the bride, and Lindsey Perron, niece of the groom. Flowers girls were Emily Frizzell, niece of the bride, and Kaitlyn Perron, niece of the groom. The girls wore dresses made of silk essence with a lilac flowered organza overlay made by Anne Allen, neighbor to the bride. All of the bride's attendants wore necklaces made by Gail Scelza, friend of the bride.
Mitchell Lahar and Timothy Chamberlin, friend of the couple, served as best men. The best men wore black tuxedos with a split lapel. They each wore a wisteria vest which complimented the groom who wore a silver vest.
The bride and groom were chauffeured to the reception by the groom's parents in a Model A Ford.
The outdoor reception of approximately 200 guests was held at the couple's home on Burton Hill in Irasburg, where they currently reside. The Rev. Richard Miller, pastor of the church, gave the blessing. Gary Matthews provided dinner music by playing the Chapman Stick.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Audrey Frizzell of Charleston, Vt., and the granddaughter of Ellen Frizzell of Columbia, N.H. She is a graduate of North Country Union High School and Trinity College of Vermont. She is a teacher at the Charleston Elementary School.
The groom is the son of Paul and Elizabeth Lahar of Newport, Vt. He is a graduate of Lake Region Union High School and New Hampshire Technical Institute. He is employed at Citizens in Newport.
Knapp - Dutcher

Jennifer Knapp and Scott Dutcher, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., were united in marriage Oct. 25, 2003, at Sawgrass Lake Park in St. Petersburg.
The 10 a.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by Delores Hadson upon a cobblestone walk under willow trees adorning the Sawgrass Lake.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Halloween-themed dress of white and silver with a tulle veil and white lace gloves. She carried a cascading bouquet of autumn-colored roses.
Cassidy Dutcher, daughter of the couple, was the flower girl. Bridesmaids were Mary Kate Dutcher, daughter of the groom; and Caitlyn MacKenzie, the couple's niece.
The guests and attendants were dressed in Halloween and festive attire. The three-tiered, white cake with buttercreme icing was decorated with Halloween decorations and holiday colors.
Following a wedding trip to Busch Gardens Theme Park of Tampa for the annual Halloween celebration, the couple reside in St. Petersburg.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Sandy Boudle of Groveton, N.H. She is a 1996 graduate of Concord High School and is attending medical school for surgical assisting in Tampa, Fla.
The groom is the son of Hazel Dutcher of Gulfport, Fla., and the late Robert Dutcher. He is a graduate of Boca Ciega High School and is attending the medical school of diagnostic sonography in Tampa. He is employed with the Pinellas County government.
Shafer - Paulson

Juanita Frances Shafer and Andrew Paulson of Lyndonville were united in marriage at the Westmore Community Church. The service was performed by the Rev. Bill Cotte.
Following a wedding trip to Pennsylvania, the couple reside in Lyndonville.
The bride is the daughter of Brent Shafer and Carol Davis of Vermont.
The groom is the son of Elaine McLaughlin of New Jersey and the late Andrew Paulson.
Joslin - Wilkins

Kelly Lynn Joslin of East Concord and Jeffrey Allen Wilkins of Waterford were united in marriage Oct. 4, 2003, at Dayspring in Lancaster, N.H.
The 3 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Glenn Hatch. Flowers were arranged by Rosie Chaloux, a friend of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line, floor-length gown with a V-neckline, beaded bodice and short sleeves. She carried a bouquet of full-length white roses accented by a purple medley of asters.
Lisa Dufour, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Susan Wilkins, sister of the groom; and Kelly Bunnell and Rachel Ringuette, friends of the bride. Hannah Wilkins was the flower girl.
The matron of honor wore an eggplant, floor-length, A-line gown, and the bridesmaids wore navy blue, floor-length A-line gowns. Each carried a single, long-stemmed white rose.
A reception was also held at Dayspring. Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple reside in Concord, Vt.
The bride is the daughter of Reg and Kathy Joslin of East Concord. She is a 1998 graduate of Concord High School, and a 2003 graduate of the University of New England. She is employed as a physical therapist at Dan Wyand PT & Associates.
The groom is the son of David and Theresa Wilkins of Waterford. A 1995 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, he is employed by New England Foam & Coating.

Jill Joslin and Christopher Bell, both of Highlands Ranch, Colo., were united in marriage June 29, 2002, at the home of the bride's parents in Miles Pond.
The 3 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Melvin Richardson.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her attendants included Beth Bell, sister of the groom; and Danielle Nitsche, Amanda Halpin and Tara Robinson, friends of the bride.
Nathan Dick, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Matt Bell, brother of the groom; and Jodie Sherman and Sean Voth, friends of the groom.
The reception was also held at the home of the bride's parents.
The bride is the daughter of Roger and Milly Joslin of Miles Pond, and the granddaughter of Arlene McGennis of St. Johnsbury and Louise Joslin of East Concord. The bride is a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and Western State College. She is a first-grade teacher at Arrowwood Elementary School in Highlands Ranch.
The groom is the son of Gerald and Alissa Bell of Garden City, Kan. The groom is a graduate of Garden City High School and Western State College. He is a high school teacher and football coach at Chaparral High School in Highlands Ranch.
Barnett - Downer

Kerryanne Barnett of St. Johnsbury and Gregory A. Downer of Newport were united in marriage June 21, 2003, at the East St. Johnsbury residence of Robbie and Marianne Barnett, overlooking the Moose River.
Richard Dudley, justice of the peace, officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown with a beaded empire waist bodice. She carried a bouquet of pink Calla lilies.
Amy Baird, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Erin Leonka and Alison Leonka, cousins of the bride, were bridesmaids. Autum Wiley, friend of the bride, was the flower girl.
Chandler J. Bean, nephew of the groom, served as best man. Duane Barnett and Nate Barnett, brothers of the bride, were groomsmen.
A reception immediately followed the ceremony. A four-layer white wedding cake with raspberry and cream filling was adorned with pink tulips. Tony Clifton also made a special appearance and graced the newlyweds with a unique rendition of Billy Idol's "White Wedding."
The bride is the daughter of Robbie Barnett of East St. Johnsbury and of Kathyanne Doyle of Chino Alley, Ariz. She is a 1995 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and plans a December 2003 graduation from Lyndon State College.
The groom is the son of Joseph and Pamela Downer of Newport. He is a 1990 graduate of North Country Union High School and plans a December 2003 graduation from Lyndon State College.
Routhier - Mazur

Suzanne Routhier of Bloomfield and Nicholas Mazur of Vershire were united in marriage at noon Aug. 9, 2003, at bride's family's homestead in Bloomfield.
The ceremony was officiated by Sharon Graham, justice of the peace. Music was composed and performed by Johi Moon.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a two-piece champagne gown with a short train. She carried a bouquet of purple and yellow flowers.
Terri Routhier, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor, and Jaime Gray, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid. The attendants wore purple sundresses and carried flowers similar to the bride's bouquet.
Nathaniel Mazur, brother of the groom, served as best man, and Christopher Mazur, also brother of the groom, was an usher.
The reception was also held in Bloomfield. The champagne and hazelnut cake was made by the groom's mother.
Following a wedding trip to Portland, Maine, the couple reside in Johnson.
The bride is the daughter of Gerard and Paulette Routhier of Bloomfield. She is a 1997 graduate of Colebrook Academy and received a bachelor of science degree in wellness and alternative medicine in December 2002 from Johnson State College. She is employed as a chiropractic assistant for Family First Chiropractic in Cambridge, Vt.
The groom is the son of Peter and Mary Mazur of Vershire. He is a 1997 graduate of Thetford Academy. He is employed as a seafood clerk at Price Chopper in Morrisville.
Austin - Ouellette

Sara Austin and Paul Ouellette of Biddeford, Maine, were united in marriage July 19, 2003, at the home of the bride's parents, Jay and Maggie Austin of North Danville.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Justice of the Peace Diane Langmaid, a friend of the family.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Christine Shattuck, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridal bouquet and maid of honor's bouquet were made by the bride's aunt, Helen Wood. Flower girls were Shelby and Savannah Scott, nieces of the groom.
Jeff Fortier, friend of the groom, served as best man.
The reception was held in the yard of the bride's parents and was catered by family and friends. The three-tiered marble wedding cake was decorated with pastel flowers with white trim. A fountain under the cake was surrounded by fresh flowers.
Following a honeymoon in Las Vegas, the couple reside in Maine.
The bride is the daughter of Jay and Maggie Austin of North Danville. She is a 1997 graduate of Danville High School and a graduate of the University of New England with a bachelor of science degree in athletic training. She is employed with Nappi Distributors.
The groom is the son of Paul and Connie Ouellette of Biddeford, and Nancy Ouellette of Portsmouth, N.H. He is a 1994 graduate of Pinkerton Academy amd attended York County Technical College. He is employed at Precision Manufacturing Solutions in Sanford, Maine.
