Erika Young of Newport and Dana Lefaivre of Lyndonville were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony at 6 p.m., Nov. 1, 2003, at the Orleans Federated Church.
The Rev. Bruce Forbes officiated the double-ring ceremony, and the bride was given away by the couple's daughter, Alexis.
Bridesmaids were Cassy Moulton, Lynn Tanguay and Angel Knights, friends of the bride; Jennifer Stephenson, cousin of the bride; and Brandi Stone, sister of the bride.
Chris Norway served as best man. Ushers were Brian Miller, Dan Dudas, Jason Prenigas, friends of the groom; and Donny Lefaivre, brother of the groom.
A Halloween reception was held at the Orleans Country Club. The wedding party dressed as the cast of "Grease," and guests dressed in a variety of costumes. The wedding cake was a 5-tiered cupcake tower with 150 cupcakes decorated in traditional Halloween colors.
Following a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Newport.
Gauvin - Leduc

Michelle Anne Gauvin of East Burke and Paul Leduc of Lyndonville were united in marriage May 17, 2003, at St. John the Evangelist Church in St. Johnsbury.
The 1 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Revs. Pat Forman and Joseph Lively.
Arrangements of white alstroemeria, pink roses and purple statice decorated the church altar. Music was provided by Jean McGregor.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a floor-length, white satin gown with mint green lace adorning the bodice. She designed her own gown, which was made by June Fitch, a friend of the bride. She carried a bouquet of white alstroemeria, pink roses and purple statice.
Cheryl Malkonian, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Gauvin, sister of the bride, and Debbie Kinney, friend of the couple. The maid of honor wore a floor-length mint green dress, and the bridesmaids wore floor-length lilac dresses. Each carried a bouquet of flowers similar to the bride's bouquet.
David Leduc, brother of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Geoffrey Farnsworth, friend of the couple; and Bill Lafiere, friend of the groom. Thomas Schmidt, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Tom Breslin Center in Lyndonville. A three-tiered, heart-shaped cake was made by a friend of the groom.
Following a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, N.Y., the couple reside in St. Johnsbury.
The bride is the daughter of Linda and Victor Gauvin of East Burke. She is a 1997 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and is employed by Rite Aid in Lyndonville.
The groom is the son Richard and Elaine Leduc of Lyndonville. He is a 1986 graduate of Lyndon Institute and is employed by Aldrich Formica Center in Waterford.
LaCoss - Gray

Holly Marie LaCoss and Dale Jason Gray, both of St. Johnsbury, were united in marriage Aug. 3, 2002, at the Grace United Methodist Church in St. Johnsbury.
The 3 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. John Marshall. Kay Ellis served as organist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an informal white chiffon, floor-length gown, with cap sleeves and a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and baby's breath.
Shelli Gadapee, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaid was Stephanie Melen, sister of the groom; and Brittany LaCoss, daughter of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. The flower girl was Kelsey LaCoss, daughter of the bride. Attendants wore sleeveless, floor-length light blue satin and crepe gowns and carried single yellow roses with baby's breath. The flower girl wore a similiarly styled gown in white and carried a basket of yellow roses and baby's breath.
Jim Simonds, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Brennon Melen, brother-in-law of the groom; and Michael Gero, friend of the groom.
A reception was held at the St. Johnsbury Elks Lodge. The three-tiered cake, made by Gina Vigneault, cousin of the groom, was decorated with light blue and light yellow roses.
Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, the couple reside in St. Johnsbury.
The bride is the daughter of Edwin and Valarie Greenwood of Stanstead, Quebec. She is employed by Citizens Savings Bank.
The groom is the son of Dale Gray of Killington and Sandra Gray of St. Johnsbury. He is a self-employed logger and a part-time officer with the St. Johnsbury Police Department.
Piper - Renaud

Gretchen Rae Piper and Jamon Leo Renaud were united in marriage Sept. 28, 2002, at All Saints Catholic Church in Lancaster, N.H.
The Rev. John Faustina officiated the double-ring ceremony among arrangements of fall-colored mums.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a European-laced wedding gown with an alluring illusion portrait neck, shoelace aproned back skirt and an allusion cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of coral, pink and yellow calalilies and roses.
Nicole Luther, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristy Rouse, Amanda Spofford, Jill Buckingham, Brenda Lajoie and Jill Szblewski, all friends of the bride. The bridesmaids wore full-length, orange/coral layered, luminesent chiffon gowns and carried hand-tied, long-stemmed yellow calalilies.
Kristopher Brown, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Ryan Renaud, brother of the groom; Jamie Piper, brother of the bride; and Garrett Richardson, Justin Richardson and Christopher Buckingham, all friends of the groom.
A reception followed at the Dayspring Function Center in Lancaster. The free-standing wedding cakes were decorated with fall-colored carnations, mums and roses.
Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple reside in St. Johnsbury.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Piper of Turin, N.Y. She is a 1998 graduate of South Lewis Central School and a 2000 graduate of Champlain College. She is employed as a radiologic technologist at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury.
The groom is the son of Leo Renaud of Hardwick and the late Patricia Renaud. He is a 1996 graduate of Hazen Union High School and is employed by Verizon as a splice service technician.
Taylor - Demars

Kari J. Taylor and Michael C. Demars, both of St. Johnsbury, were united in marriage March 25, 2003, at Disney Sunset Pointe at the Polynesian Resort.
The Rev. Jack Day officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white gown with a beaded halter-top bodice and train. She carried a cascading bouquet featuring yellow roses.
Rhonda Taylor, mother of the bride, served as matron of honor. She wore a lilac dress with a light-weight matching jacket.
David Demars, father of the groom, served as best man.
A reception was also held at Sunset Pointe. A marble wedding cake with chocolate mousse filling was adorned with a Mickey and Minnie Mouse cake top.
Following a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, the couple reside in St. Johnsbury.
The bride is the daughter of Brian and Rhonda Taylor of St. Johnsbury. She is a 2001 graduate of Danville High School and is employed by the state of Vermont.
The groom is the son of David and Christine Demars of St. Johnsbury. He is a 1992 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and is employed by the State of Vermont.

Marcy L. Nelson of Ryegate, Vt., and David W. Singleton of Chesapeake, Va., were united in marriage Oct. 25, 2003, at Dayspring Function Center in Lancaster, N.H.
The Rev. Glenn Hatch officiated the 6 p.m. candlelight ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. The maid of honor was Katie Nelson, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Betsey Nelson, cousin of the bride, and Brandy Burns, friend of the couple. Laura Reed, friend of the couple, gave a Scripture reading.
The best man was Spencer Lane, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were David Singleton, father of the groom; Adam Singleton, brother of the groom; and Kevin Singleton, brother of the groom.
A sit-down reception immediately followed the ceremony. Guests were present from Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, Utah, Oklahoma and California.
The bride is the daughter of Ken and Bobbie Nelson of Ryegate. She is a 1997 graduate of Blue Mountain Union High School, a 2001 graduate of St. Lawrence University and a 2002 graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She is employed as a pediatric intensive care nurse and is attending graduate school at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
The groom is the son of David and Kathy Singleton of Chesapeake. He is a 1997 graduate of Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake. He served three years in the 10th Mountain Infantry Division of the United States Army stationed in Fort Drum, N.Y., which included eight months of duty in Bosnia. He is employed by SCI in Winchester, Md., and is attending Lincoln Technical Institute in Columbia, Md.
The couple reside in Owings Mills, Md.
Hatch - Wallek

Tamika Michelle "Tammy" Hatch and John "Johnny" Wallek III, both of Danville, were united in marriage June 15, 2002, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Moran of West Danville.
The double-ring ceremony was conducted in front of the living room fireplace by Jane H. Larrabee, justice of the peace.
The mantelpiece was decorated with garlands of flowers fashioned by Marcia Moran. At the beginning of the ceremony, the mother of the bride and mother of the groom each lit a candle on the mantelpiece. These candles represented the families of the bride and groom. During the ceremony, the couple each took the candle that represented their family and joined the flames in lighting one central candle symbolizing the new family unit that they were creating.
Emily Cochran, 4-year-old niece of the groom, read a poem titled "The Glory of Love."
The bride wore a two-piece dress featuring a deep plum-colored jacket and coordinating floral print pleated skirt. She carried a cascading bouquet of ivory roses and eucalyptus, accented with satin ribbon and pearls.
The couple was attended by the bride's 7-year-old son, Colby Perras, who served as ring bearer and best man.
A wedding luncheon was held at Goodfellas restaurant. The three-tiered, basket weave wedding cake was topped with alstroemeria.
Following a wedding trip to the Mt. Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, the couple reside in Danville.
The bride is the daughter of Howard and Joyce Hatch of Walden. She is a 1988 graduate of Danville High School and is employed at the Joe's Pond Country Store in West Danville.
The groom is the son of John Wallek Jr. of West Danville and Darla Cochran of Daleville, Va. He is a 1997 graduate of Cabot High School and is employed by the town of St. Johnsbury.
Calamaio - Boardman

Angela Calamaio and Lance G. Boardman Jr., both of St. Johnsbury, were united in marriage Sept. 21, 2002, at an outdoor ceremony at the Calamaio barn in East St. Johnsbury. The 2 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by Dinah Yessne, justice of the peace. Decorations included dried flower arrangements, grown and assembled by the mother of the bride. Music was provided by Jaime Pransky and Geoff Garrow, friends of the couple.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a 1943 bridal gown worn by the bride's maternal grandmother.
Tess Hoffman, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Flower girls were Susanna Calamaio, niece of the bride; and Tatiana Garrow, friend of the couple.
The maid of honor's dress was her grandmother's. The flower girls' fall dresses were made by their grandmothers.
Anthony Ducharme, brother-in-law of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were John and Joe Calamaio, brothers of the bride. Casey Calamaio, brother of the bride, was the ring bearer.
The reception was also held at the Calamaio barn. The many layered chocolate on chocolate cake was made by Jerry Prevost, friend of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Pat and Susan Moore of Independence, Kan., and Dr. Craig Calamaio and Dr. Sally Calamaio, both of St. Johnsbury. The bride is a 1998 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and a 2000 graduate of New England Culinary Institute. She is employed by Lakeview Inn in Greensboro and Trout River Brewery in Lyndonville.
The groom is the son of Frances M. Boardman of St. Johnsbury and the late Lance G. Boardman Sr. The groom is a 1998 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and a 2000 graduate of Vermont Technical College. He is employed as a senior loan officer at Mountainside Financial in Fairfax.
The couple reside in Hardwick.
