Heather Marie Walker of Bethlehem and Charles Morrison Taylor III of North Haverhill were united in marriage July 4, 2002, at Swiftwater Covered Bridge in Swiftwater, N.H.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Betty Ward, justice of the peace.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full-length, white silk, strapless gown featuring a floral design on the fitted bodice. She carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies accented by fern and baby's breath.
Juliet Gifford, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Cynthia Blodgett, aunt of the bride, and flower girl was Ashley Clark, cousin of the bride. Porsche Taylor, daughter of the couple, was pulled in a wagon as part of the wedding party.
The maid of honor wore a violet dress made by her mother, and the bridesmaid wore a long dark violet gown. Both carried bouquets of stargazer lilies. The flower girl wore a floral summer dress and carried rose petals.
Dustin Adams, friend of the groom, served as best man. The gentlemen wore rose boutonnieres.
A reception was held at the Swiftwater General Store. The wedding cake was made by Mary Hicks, aunt of the bride. It featured both chocolate and white cake and the white frosting was decorated with flowers.
The couple reside in Swiftwater, N.H.
The bride is the daughter of Dale and Lisa Walker of Bethlehem.
The groom is the son of Sue and Don Bigelow of Swiftwater and Charles M. Taylor of Georgia.
Houghton - Turmel

Tammy Lynn Houghton and Leon Raymond Turmel were united in marriage at 1 p.m. Aug. 2, 2003, at the couple's home in West Burke.
The ceremony was officiated by Nancy Lawrence, justice of the peace.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a short-sleeved ivory gown accented with beads and pearls and a chapel-length train.
Terri Shatney, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristina Houghton Garrity and Abbey Turmel, daughters of the bride and groom, Janet Shatney, sister-in-law of the bride, and Elizabeth Shatney, niece of the bride.
The maid of honor wore a halter-style black dress accented with pearls. The bridesmaids wore matching halter-style aqua dresses.
Albert Turmel, brother of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Thomas Garrity Jr., son-in-law of the bride; Monty Shatney, brother of the bride; and Mark St. Hilaire, friend of the couple. William Shatney, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. The couple's 17-month-old grandson also walked down on his grandfather's side.
The groom wore a black tuxedo with an electric blue vest. The best man, ushers, ring bearer and the couple's grandson all wore three-piece suits.
The reception, with music provided by a disc jockey service, was also held at the couple's home. The three-tiered cake was decorated with ivory frosting and mauve roses, and the cake top was white with hearts, flowers and pearls that matched the bride's gown. The cake was made by the bride's cousin, Rona Sicely. Once cut by the couple, Monica Dority, daughter of the bride, helped serve the cake to guests.
The bride is the daughter of Bernard and Mary Shatney of Cabot and the granddaughter of Ila Shatney, also of Cabot. The bride is a 1982 graduate of Cabot High School. She is a mom and enjoys her time with her children and grandson.
The groom is the son of Alice Turmel of Berlin, N.H., and the late Raymond Turmel. He is a 1977 graduate of Berlin High School and a 1979 graduate of New Hampshire Vocational Technical College. He has an associate's degree in automotive applied science and is employed at Arnold's Trucking.
The couple reside in West Burke.
Hartshorn - Hoppe

Abigail Hartshorn and David Hoppe, both of South Burlington, were united in marriage Oct. 11, 2003, at The Mt. Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, N.H.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by George "Kit" Carter. Camellia greens in silver urns decorated the conservatory. The processional and recessional were played by pianist Scott Cramer. Soloists were Michael Willey and Lara Minichiello.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white silk ballgown with silver embroidery and crystal beading on the bodice and 3/4-length sleeves. She carried a nosegay of white calla lilies, ranunculus and grape hyacinth surrounded by crystals with a monogrammed ribbon.
Lara Minichiello, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Weegar and Shawnna Lea Young, both friends of the bride. The attendants wore pleated back, floor-length pewter skirts in satin back taffeta, and black Angora sweaters with 3/4-length sleeves.
Bryan Hoppe, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Nicholas Hartshorn, brother of the bride; and Maciej Zalesinski, friend of the groom.
The reception was held at the Sun Dining Room at The Mount Washington Hotel. The four-tiered white cake featured raspberry filling and fondant icing.
Following a wedding trip to Palm Beach Shores, Fla., the couple reside in South Burlington.
The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Barbara Hartshorn of Lancaster, N.H. She is a 1996 graduate of White Mountains Regional High School and a 2000 graduate of St. Michael's College. She is employed with the human resources department of The Merchants Bank in South Burlington.
The groom is the son of Harry and Diana Hoppe of Essex Junction. He is a 1997 graduate of Essex High School and a 2001 graduate of St. Michael's College. He is pursuing a master's degree in counseling from the University of Vermont and plans a May 2004 graduation.

Kimberly Darrell of St. Johnsbury and Kenneth Christie of Wayne, N.J., were united in marriage April 27, 2002, at the North Congregational Church in St. Johnsbury.
The 11 a.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Jay Sprout. Spring flowers surrounded the unity candle, and organ music was provided by Jean McGregor.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a royal satin gown with re-embroidered, hand-beaded Alen?on lace; a modified Queen Anne neckline; short illusion sleeves; a Basque waist; V-back; and detachable semi-cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of spring flowers and peach-colored roses.
Kate LaBounty, friend of the couple, served as maid of honor, and Rachel Friedman, friend of the couple, was the bridesmaid. Flower girls were Molly Darrell, daughter of the couple; and Amanda White, niece of the couple.
Attendants wore peach-colored dresses and carried bouquets of spring flowers. The flower girls wore white dresses with peach sashes and carried white baskets with peach-colored rose petals.
Alan Christie, brother of the groom, served as best man. The groomsman was Ken Schoene, friend of the couple, and Kevin Darrell, brother of the bride, was the usher. Ring bearer was Steven White, nephew of the couple.
The reception was held at Warner's Gallery in Wells River. The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated with peach flowers and topped with bride and groom cow figurines.
The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Viriginia Darrell of St. Johnsbury. She is a 1997 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and is employed at Feldman & Fiorello in Wayne, N.J.
The groom is the son of Vera Christie of Wayne, N.J. He is a 1988 graduate of Wayne Hills High School and a 1995 graduate of William Paterson University. He is employed by Karl & Morris in Hackensack, N.J.
Goodwin - Gabriel

Joy Ann Goodwin of Lyndonville and Kennan Russ Gabriel of Sherrills Ford, N.C., were united in marriage at 7 p.m., Nov. 9, 2001, at Hopewell UMC in Sherrills Ford.
The double-ring, candlelight ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Tamara Winsel. Special music included "Angels Among Us" in memory of Casey Goodwin, and "Amazing Grace."
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white, strapless, sequin and pearl appliqued gown accented with long gloves and diamond and pearl tiara with floor-length veil. She carried a dozen loose long-stemmed white roses.
Lisa Wheeler served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Denise Goodwin, Renee Parker, Karen Sourgiadakis and Betsy Bailey. Breanna Goodwin was the flower girl. Attendants wore periwinkle, spaghetti-strapped gowns with scooped backs and chiffon trains, accented with long gloves. Each carried a white long-stemmed rose.
Kenneth Gabriel, father of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Bradley Goodwin, Rodney Rathbone, Ryan Gabriel and Jamie Pope. Dylan Goodwin was the ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Family Life Center at Hopewell United Methodist Church. The three-tiered, vanilla wedding cake was decorated with white roses.
Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple reside in Mooresville, N.C.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Frances Goodwin of Lyndonville. She is employed as a vet technician at Cabarrus Emergency Veterinary Clinic.
The groom is the son of Kenneth and Joyce Gabriel of Sherrills Ford. He is employed as an electrical technician with Commscope.
Savoy - Porter

Merry Lisa Savoy of St. Johnsbury and Allen Walter Porter of South Burlington were united in marriage March 15, 2003, at a private ceremony at the couple's home.
The 10 a.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Gerry Piper, a friend of the bride.
Given in marriage by her mother, the bride wore a white lace peasant top with black pants. She carried a bouquet of assorted green and white flowers.
Saleena Porter, daughter of the couple, served as the bride's attendant. She wore a black velvet jumper with a white blouse and carried a bouquet of green and white carnations, baby's breath and greenery arranged by the bride.
Matthew Porter, son of the groom, served as the best man.
A reception for family and friends is planned Aug. 16 at the couple's home in St. Johnsbury.
The bride is the daughter of Rhoda Monahan of South Barre and Robert and Judy Savoy of Woodsville, N.H. She is a graduate of Blue Mountain Union School and a 1997 graduate of Thompsons Nursing School. She is employed as a nurse with the practice of Dr. David Toll.
The groom is the son of Allen Porter and Cindy Lovejoy of South Burlington and the late Avis Porter. He is a graduate of South Burlington High School and the State of Vermont Electrical Program. He is employed as a master electrician with Omega Electric in Williston.

Meredith Fleming Neylon and Michael B. Marek, both of Munich, Germany, were united in marriage at 4 p.m., Aug. 10, 2002, at the Marstall in Berg, Germany.
A string quartet provided music for the double-ring ceremony, which was held in a sunflower-decorated garden. David Reynolds, friend of the bride's family, led the couple in their vows.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin princess cut gown with a beaded band accenting the neckline and spaghetti straps. The gown also featured a chapel-length train with small satin buttons in the back, extending the length of the gown. She wore a shoulder-length veil with a floral headpiece, and carried a bouquet of ivory baby roses.
Caroline J. Neylon served as attendant for her twin sister. She wore a light blue raw silk floor-length skirt with an off-the-shoulder brocade top.
Friend Gunther Olbrich attended the groom.
A reception was held inside the Marstall on Stamberg Lake in Berg.
Following a wedding trip to Tuscany, Italy, the couple reside at Werneckstrasse 15, 80802 Munich, Germany.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Patrick Neylon of St. Johnsbury. The bride is a 1990 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and a 1994 graduate of the University of Vermont. She is employed by Langenscheidt Publishing Co. in Munich.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Klaus Marek of Stuttgart, Germany. The groom is a 1988 graduate of Gymnasium GerLingen, a 1989 graduate of Berufsakadamie, and a 1996 graduate of Universitaet Stuttgart. He is employed by Raupach Schurk Architects in Munich.
