Angeline Anne Richard and F. John Clifford III were united in marriage in an outdoor ceremony at the home of the bride's parents, Dennis and Sylvia Richard, Aug. 30, 2003.
Diane Cochran, justice of the peace, conducted the double-ring ceremony under a rustic canopy on a knoll across the brook.
The attendants came through a lane from the house.
Jade Richard, daughter of the bride, and Kayla Flannagan-Richard, niece of the bride, carried the rings in decorated baskets.
Each wore a red gown with a lace overskirt.
The bride was escorted to site by her father.
She wore a gown of satin and chiffon, with an empire waist, square neck and princess sleeves with beaded trim.
She wore a fingertip veil attached to a beaded woven band and carried a bouquet of red roses.
Tina Willey, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor.
April Poster and Tammie Ireland, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids.
Attendants wore gowns featuring black lace tops and red satin skirts.
They carried bouquets of mixed flowers, arranged by the bride.
Peter Clifford, brother of the groom, was the best man.
Dion Richard, brother of the bride, and Eric Trainor, friend of the couple, were ushers. All the men wore black tuxedos and black Stetsons.
The groom's vest was white while the other men in the party wore red vests.
A reception followed under tents set in the door yard.
A buffet meal was served by the American Legion Auxiliary of Hardwick. Darren Richard, brother of the bride, and Gary Ireland, friend of the couple, barbecued the beef for the meal.
Cheesecake with assorted toppings was served following the meal.
Guests attended from Vermont, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Sylvia Richard of Walden.
She is the granddaughter of Margaret Brochu of Hardwick and Marie Rose Tetreault of Barre.
She is a graduate of Walden School and a 1989 graduate of Danville High School.
She joined the U.S. Air Force in 1991 and was stationed at Travis AFB, Calif., Lajes Field, Azores, and McGuire AFB, N.J.
She received her discharge in 2000.
The groom is the son of Judith and Francis Clifford II of Walden.
He is the grandson of Betty Hatch of Walden.
He is also a graduate of the Walden School and graduated from Danville High School in 1988.
He is employed at the Cliff-Clan Farm in Walden.
The couple reside in Hardwick while a farmhouse is being renovated.
Candreva - Barnes

Debra Candreva and Erik Barnes were united in marriage Aug. 23, 2003, in the garden of the Red Oak Mansion in White Plains, N.Y.
The bride was attended by her friends Tracy Roof and Michelle Littleton. Best men were Robert Primmer and the groom's brother, Matthew Collins.
Following their wedding trip, the couple reside in Cambridge, Mass.
The bride is the daughter of Fred and Lillian Candreva of Rye, N.Y. She attended Tufts University and received her doctoral degree from Johns Hopkins University. She teaches political philosophy at Wellesley College.
The groom is the son of Ruth Johnson of Arlington, Mass., the late Denning Barnes, and Donald Collins of St. Johnsbury. He is a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy. He attended Tufts University and is an electrical engineer at Analog Devices in Wilmington, Mass.
Spencer - North

Bethany Marie Spencer and Ryan Travis North were united in marriage at 7 p.m., July 19, 2003, at the waterfront of Lake Memphremagog in Newport.
Rosemarie Hartley, justice of the peace, officiated the double-ring ceremony. Music was provided by harpist Bill Tobin. Readings were given by Sharon Vilcins, sister of the groom, and Katrina Pound, friend of the bride, followed by a butterfly release.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Jessica Angell, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor, and Melissa Spencer, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Flower girls were Annika Vilcins and Kaitlyn North, nieces of the groom.
Robert North III, brother of the groom, was the best man. Maksis Vilcins, nephew of the groom, served as the ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Gateway Center in Newport.
Following a wedding trip to Montreal, Canada, the couple reside in West Dover.
The bride is the daughter of James and Judith Spencer and the granddaughter of Mary Spencer, all of Lyndonville. She is a graduate of Lyndon Institute and the University of Vermont. She is employed at the Wardsboro Elementary School.
The groom is the son of Robert and Margaret North of West Dover. He is a graduate of Burke Mountain Academy and the University of Colorado. He is employed by North Realty Estate.
Wentworth - Nye

Jennifer Dawn Wentworth of Manchester Village and Jason Christopher Nye of Burlington were united in marriage at 4 p.m., July 19, 2003, in the flower garden at the Cortina Resort in Killington.
Pastor Marc Hill of Cabot officiated the double-ring ceremony. Seven-year-old Zoe D'Olimpio was the violinist. She wore a lavender chiffon dress.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown with split back, accented with hand-beaded trim. She carried a bouquet of red roses, lavender statice and alstroemeria.
Kelly Wentworth, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Adriana Gamba and Anne Rapalje, both friends of the bride. The attendants wore empire-waisted satin and chiffon scarf dresses of coral, periwinkle and pink. They also carried bouquets of red roses, statice and alstroemeria.
Kris LeClerc, friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Michael Burdick and Kyle Fortin, friends of the groom.
A pasta buffet was served during the reception, also held at the Cortina. The cake was decorated with red and yellow cascading roses, a Holstein bride and groom figurine and topped with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Following a cruise to Cozumel and the Cayman Islands, the couple reside in Rutland.
The bride is the daughter of Billie Gammell of Wheelock and Dan Wentworth of Manawa, Wis. She is a 1995 graduate of Cabot High School and a 1999 graduate of Lesley College in Cambridge, Mass. She is a teacher at Maple Street School in Manchester, Vt.
The groom is the son of Terry and Rita Nye of Barton. He is a 1996 graduate of Lake Region Union High School. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1996-1999, he graduated from Motorcycle Mechanic's Institute in Orlando, Fla., in 2001. He is employed at Wilkins Harley Davidson in South Barre.
