Woodall, Nelson wed

ADA — Jackie LeAnn Woodall, Meeker, and Justin Daniel Nelson, Stonewall, were united in marriage July 10, 2004, at the Ada Arts and Heritage Center. Tony Tyler officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Allen and Lisa Woodall, Meeker, and the granddaughter of Lindell Archer, Ada, and the late Glenda Archer.

The bridegroom is the son of Ricky and Tammi Nelson, Stonewall. He is the grandson of Pat Lambert, Stonewall, and the late Derle Lambert; Alta Nelson, Kennedel, Texas, and the late Clyde Nelson.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father.

Matron of honor was Mandy McGinnis, sister of the bride, Shawnee. Bridesmaids were Taylor Woodall, sister of the bride, Meeker, and Summer Woodall, cousin of the bride, Stratford.

Micheal Meek, cousin of the bridegroom, Midlothian, Texas, was best man. Groomsmen were Derle Lambert, cousin of the bridegroom, Midlothian, and Tyler Thompson, Stonewall.

Ushers were A.J. Woodall, brother of the bride, Meeker and Jason Barnett, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Stonewall. Ringbearers were Kason Barnett, nephew of the bridegroom, Stonewall, and Brayden McGinnis, nephew of the bride, Shawnee.

A reception, hosted by the parents of the bride and bridegroom, was held at the Ada Arts and Heritage Center. Reception assistants were Reena Barnett, sister of the bridegroom, Stonewall, Lyndsey Maggard, Meeker and Sarah Bussell, Meeker.

Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is at home in Stonewall.

Ashley Odom, Dustin Kirk united in marriage

ROFF — Ashley Rashea Odom, Fittstown, and Dustin Dewayne Kirk, Roff, were united in marriage July 16, 2004, at Roff Pentecostal Holiness Church. Danny Alexander officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony. Becki Phillips, cousin of the bridegroom, Roff, was in charge of music.

The bride is the daughter of Mickey and Joyce Odom, Fittstown, and the granddaughter of C.C. and Lou Manuel, Ada.

The bridegroom is the son of Cheryll and Claud Clark and Junior and Becky Kirk, all of Roff. He is the grandson of Gene and Linda Phillips and Matt and Linda Kirk, all of Roff; and the great-grandson of Ila Kirk, Roff.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Jennifer Bacon, sister of the bride, Roff. Bridesmaids were Kim Odom, sister of the bride, Fittstown, and Ashley Clark, and Julie Kirk, sisters of the bridegroom, both of Roff.

Robbie Odom, brother of the bride, Fittstown, was best man. Groomsmen were Timmie Kirk, uncle of the bridegroom and Claud Clark, stepfather of the bridegroom, both of Roff, and Randall Phillips, uncle of the groom, Fittstown.

Ushers were McKenzie and Spencer Phillips, cousins of the bridegroom, Fittstown, Jodi Odom, niece of the bride, Fittstown, and Jeremy Odom, nephew of the bride, Vanoss. Flowergirls were Tesla Odom, niece of the bride, Fittstown, and Taryn Monjay, cousin of the bridegroom, Roff. Kelsie Odom, niece of the bride, Roff, carried the bride’s train. Ringbearer was Sebastian Bacon, nephew of the bride, Roff. Photographer was Stephanie Daniels, Roff.

Tina West marries Todd Essary July 9

ADA — Tina West, Ada, and Todd Essary, Tahlequah, were married July 9, 2004, at the East Central University Stanley P. Wagner Ballroom. The Rev. Lewis Perry officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony

Bonita Cable, Ada, was pianist. Vocalists were Holly Frankum and Heather McMahon, both of Marietta, and Kelly Richards, McAlester. Sound and video coordinator was Corey Richards, McAlester.

The bride is the daughter of Sid Isbill, Wayne, and the late Joy Woodward.

The bridegroom is the son of Mike and Shirley Essary, Stratford, and the grandson of Bernadean Freeman, Stratford, and the late Claud Freeman.

The bride was given in marriage by her sons, Shane and Chase West.

Serving as matron of honor was Gina Carter, sister of the bride, Ada. Bridesmaids were April Woodward, sister of the bride, Ada, and Andrea Bahner, Ada.

Terry Essary, brother of the bridegroom, Stillwater, was best man. Groomsmen were Michael Blackburn, Stratford, and Kevin Coates, Byars.

Ushers were Gary Johnson, Ada, and Duane Meadows, Tahlequah. Escorting the bride were MacKenzie Carter, niece of the bride, and Jordan and Tyler Carter, nephews of the bride, all of Ada.

A reception was held at the East Central University Stanley P. Wagner Ballroom.

Stephanie Humphrey and Darren Dixon exchange vows

ADA — Stephanie Humphrey, Oklahoma City, and Darren Dixon, Ada, were united in marriage June 5, 2004, at First Methodist Church. Dr. Rusty Fuller officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony.

Lyndsey Rhoads was registrar. Brenda Duck served as pianist. Rozzie Purdy was the organist and Kellie Humphrey, sister of the bride, sang. The ceremony also featured the bride singing.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Janet Humphrey, Ada. She is the granddaughter of Mary and Alan Waters, Ada, and Velma Humphrey, Stratford, and the late Doyle Humphrey.

The bridegroom is the son of Jim and June Dixon, Yukon, and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bucky Dixon.

Matron of honor was Kellie Humphrey, sister of the bride, Los Angeles, Calif. Bridesmaids were Amy Lowry, cousin of the bride, Dallas, Texas, Courtney Dixon, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Oklahoma City, Shelli Dixon, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Ada, Kelsy Dowd, cousin of the bride, Allen, Texas and Jeana Wyche, Oklahoma City.

Doug, Chad and Andy Dixon, brothers of the bridegroom,Oklahoma City, served as best men. Groomsmen were Chris Hutchison and Ryan Henderson, both of Oklahoma City, and Brady Dowd, cousin of the bride, Dallas.

Other attendants included ushers Charlie Vest, Ada, and Matt Harp and Ryan Saum, both of Oklahoma City; flowergirls Kelsie and Kamryn Dixon. Programs were distributed by Megan Jumper, Allen, Texas, and Charlynn Estes, Pauls Valley, cousins of the bridegroom.

A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at Ada Elks Lodge. Reception assistants were Julie Dowd, aunt of the bride, Allen, Texas, Edwina Lowry, aunt of the bride, Ada, Audrey George, cousin of the bride, Ada, Lyndsey Humphrey, cousin of the bride, Stratford, Pricilla George, aunt of the bride, Ada, and Karen Duck, Sulphur.

Following a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple is at home in Oklahoma City.

Moore, Christian to wed October 8

ADA — Callie Nicole Moore and Cullen Zachary will exchange vows Oct. 8, 2004, at Grace Christian Fellowship Church. Vernal West will officiate the 7 p.m. ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Charlotte Moore, Moore, and Robert Moore, Edmond. A graduate of Ardmore High School in 2002, she attends East Central University and is majoring in elementary education.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Eddie and Josie Christian, Ada. He is a 1998 graduate of Byng High School who majored in rehab counseling with a double minor in psychology and HPER education in 2002, from ECU.

Clary, Arney to wed

CHOCTAW — Leah Jordan Clary, Choctaw, and Jared David Arney, Mooreland, will exchange wedding vows Aug. 14, 2004, at Eastland Hills Baptist Church, Choctaw. John Elam will officiate the 5 p.m. ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Irby and Cheryl Clary, Choctaw, and the granddaughter of Joe and Nancy Bradshaw, Roff. A 2002 graduate of Choctaw High School, she is a junior at the University of Oklahoma, majoring in special education.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of David and Christa Arney, Mooreland. A 2002 graduate of Mooreland High School, he is also a junior at OU, majoring in mechanical engineering.

Milligan, Barron to hold desert ceremony

BYNG — Abby Shoffner Milligan, Byng, and Richard R. Barron, Ada, will exchange wedding vows Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at 9 a.m. at Arches National Park, Moab, Utah.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Hershel and Ethel Shoffner, Ryan, the late Agness Shoffner, and George and Dorothy Milligan, Byng. She is employed by Pre-Paid Legal Services, Ada.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Joseph and Sarah Jo Barron, Palm Coast, Fla. He is employed as the chief photographer at the Ada Evening News.

Ropele, Roehl to wed in Florida May 21

SARASOTA, Fla. — Kate Rebekah Ropele and Michael Sterling Roehl, both of Sarasota, will exchange wedding vows Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Church of the Redeemer Episcopal Church, Sarasota. The Rev. Fredrick A. Robinson will officiate the 3 p.m. ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael John Ropele, Sarasota. A 1999 graduate of Laurel School Independent College Preparatory School for Girls, Shaker Heights, Ohio, she attended Roanoke College, Virginia. She is currently employed at Carlton Arms, Bradenton.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Roehl, Ada, Okla. He attended East Central University, Ada, and graduated from Florida’s Manatee Technical Institute in 2002. He is currently employed by Goldstar Properties, Bradenton, as a computer administrator.
Gregory, Riddle to exchange vows

ADA — Gina Gregory and Jeremy Riddle, both of Ada, will exchange wedding vows July 31, 2004, at the First United Methodist Church, Ada. Jimmy Wilson will officiate the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ronald and Terri Gregory, Ada. A graduate of Byng High School in 1999, she is currently employed as a hair designer at Hot Looks Salon.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Billy and Rena Stewart, Ada. He is a 1996 graduate of Byng High School who joined the Navy Seabees after graduation, traveling to Spain, Guam, London an Afghanistan. He is currently employed with H&H Construction.

Williams, Adams to wed Oct. 9 in Ada

ADA — Bonnie Williams and Jeremiah Adams, both of Ada, will unite in marriage Oct. 9, 2004, at Ada First Free Will Baptist Church. Bruce James will officiate the 6 p.m. ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bob Williams, Tulsa, and Carla Moore, Moore.

The bridegroom is the son of Don Cook and Linda Huff, both of Ada.

Phillips, Bennett to wed Aug. 7 at Stratford

STRATFORD — Retha Ann Phillips, Stratford, and Jeremy Don Bennett, Ada, will unite in marriage Aug. 7, 2004, at The Master’s House church, Stratford. The Rev. Glen Eaves will officiate the 1 p.m. ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gary and Marcella Phillips, Stratford, and the granddaughter of Alice Rollins, Stratford, the late Joe Rollins and the late Parolee Phillips. A 1999 graduate of Stratford High School, she plans to graduate from East Central University in December with a bachelor’s degree in services for the deaf.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Jimmy Don and LaDonna Bennett, Ada, the grandson of Don and Maxine Woods, Ada, the late Johnnie Bennett and the late Jerry Don Bennett, and the great-grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Woods, Ada, and Mattie Hefley, Clarita. A 1998 graduate of Vanoss High School and a December 2003 graduate of East Central University, he holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is currently employed at East Central University as a cyber tools manager and at Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Pauls Valley, as a systems operator.
Claborn, Pogue exchange vows in outdoor ceremony

ADA — Brianne Claborn and Shannon Pogue, both of Ada, were united in marriage May 22, 2004, at the Wintersmith Park Amphitheater. The Rev. Frank Trent officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Paula Gray and Bobby Claborn, both of Ada, and the granddaughter of Pat Gray, James Paul Claborn, both of Ada, the late Pete Gray and the late Goldie Claborn.

The bridegroom is the son of Tina and Richie Pogue, Ada, and the grandson of James Sr., and Evelyn Smith, Freda Pogue, all of Ada, and the late Alton “Salty” Pogue.

MR. AND MRS. SHANNON POGUE

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Serving as maid of honor was Haley Roland, Francis. Bridesmaids were Katelyn Claborn, sister of the bride, Chrissy Pogue, sister of the bridegroom, and Lacey Hill, all of Ada.

Brian Smith served as best man. Groomsmen were Scott Gorrell, Francis, Aaron McNiel, Ada, and Matt Cox, Texas.

Other attendants included flower girls Rylee Sliger, and Kirby Gray, both cousins of the bride, Ada; and ring bearer, Gage Fuller, Ada.

Following the ceremony, a reception, hosted by the friends of the bride, was held in the East Central University ballroom. Reception assistants included Sophia Watters, Sasakwa, Heather Black, Lacey Frontierhouse, both of Allen, Kirbi Meeks, Nicole Pogue, cousin of the bridegroom, Krista Abbott, Lovanda Meeks, Mallori Meeks and Elaine Ryans, all of Ada.

The couple has made their home in Ada.
