The two began dating after working together for two years. "We knew very quickly we were going to be together forever," they said. "After only 2 1/2 months, we were engaged. We finally married a year and a half later."

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Algernon Gibson Solomons Jr. of Estill. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. Julia McKenzie Jones and the late Rudolph Van Peeples and Mrs. Algernon Gibson Solomons and the late Mr. Solomons, all of Estill. She is a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor of arts degree in history, and she is currently a graduate student at The Citadel, where she is pursuing a master of arts degree in the teaching of secondary social studies.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Vega of Grayson, Ga., and formerly of Aiken. She is a maternal granddaughter of the late Hilma Gutierrez and the late Federico Aymat and a paternal granddaughter of Josefina Vega of Puerto Rico and the late Alberto Vega.
The bride was lovely in a formal gown of white satin. She carried a bouquet of white roses and orchids.
Christina Zavala served as her sister's matron of honor. Rebecca Long served as her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Northington, Jennifer Rich and Jenny Vinson.
