Cara Markley of Martinsburg, W. Va., and James Toole of Aiken were married Feb. 19, 2005, in the Victorian Wedding Chapel.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The Rev. Jerry Tindall officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Cliff Markley and Patricia Boward of Martinsburg.

The bridegroom is a son of Yvonne and Norman Toole of Aiken.

Rabon

Everett Wallace Rabon Sr. and Loretta Johnson Rabon of Aiken celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a reception held at Cheetham Parlor in Aiken on April 16, 2005.

The Rabons were married April 8, 1955 in Charleston. Loretta is a graduate of the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and Everett is a graduate of the College of Charleston.

The Rabons have three children, E. Wallace Jr. and his wife Darlene, Rodney L. and his wife Paige, and Patricia. The Rabons have 11 grandchildren.

Mr. Rabon is a biologist retired from the DuPont Co. Mrs. Rabon is a registered nurse, also retired from DuPont. The Rabons are planning a trip to the Hawaiian Islands to celebrate their anniversary.

Smith – Folk

Kellie L. Folk of Aiken and R. Bryan Smith of North Augusta were married on March 26, 2005 at Harbor Towne in Hilton Head. The bride was given in marriage by John and Debra Folk. The Rev. Richard Smerczak.

The bride is a daughter of John and Debra Folk of Warrenville.

The bridegroom is a son of Karen Smith. He is a grandson of Ray and Bette McDonald. Karen Moyer of North Augusta was the maid of honor.

Carl Boyd of North Augusta was the best man.

Hunter Smith and Logan Smith, both of North Augusta were the ringbearers.

Makenzie Moyer and Savannah Moyer, both of North Augusta were the flower girls.

The bride is a graduate of Midland Valley High School. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina-Aiken with a degree in business management. She is employed by Houndslake Country Club.

The bridegroom is a graduate of North Augusta High School.

Walker – Burch

Patrice Michelle Burch and James Shelton Walker, both of Aiken, were married April 16, 2005, in Cedar Creek Church. The bride was given in marriage by Bobby Burch, her brother. The Rev. Richard Swift officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Patricia H. Burleson of Charleston. She is a granddaughter of the late Thomas and Madeline Hamilton.

The bridegroom is a son of James S. Walker Sr. of Aiken and Deidra Magness of LaGrange. He is the grandson of the late Jack and Pearlie Fleischman and Miriam Walker and the late James Oscar Walker.

Susan Heffron of Mt. Pleasant, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jennifer Neal, Melissa Moyer and Heather Salvatore, all of Aiken. Junior bridesmaids were Alexis Roberson and Taelor Roberson, daughters of the bride. Vickie Herrington of Metter, Ga., did the reading.

James S. Walker Sr., father of the groom, was the best man.

Groomsmen were Scott Brinson, Scott Powers and Phillip Neal, all of Aiken, and Richard Herrington of Metter, Ga.

Andrew Burch of Chapel Hill, N.C., nephew of the bride, was the ringbearer. Morgan Jones of Aiken, niece of the groom, and Olivia Burch of Chapel Hill, niece of the bride, were the flower girls.

Hostesses were Sunshine Rearden of Murrells Inlet and Rebekah Robinson of Aiken.

Following a reception in Aiken Municipal Building Conference Center the couple left for a wedding trip to St. Lucia, British Virgin Islands.

They will reside in Aiken.

The bride is a graduate of South Aiken High School. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken with an associate of science in nursing and a bachelor of science in nursing. She is employed by Aiken Regional Medical Centers Woman's Life Care Center.

The bridegroom is a graduate of South Aiken High School. He is a student at Aiken Technical College. He is employed by G-Force Cablevision.

Kirchner – Mobley

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lee Kirchner, of Lexington, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Leigh Kirchner of Lexington to Jeffrey Porter Mobley of Columbia, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Michael Mobley of Aiken. The wedding is planned for July 23, 2005.

The bride-elect is a maternal granddaughter of the late Donna Kauffman and a paternal granddaughter of Jay Kirchner of Yoder, Wy.

She is a 2001 graduate of Central High School, Cheyenne, Wy. She attended the University of Wyoming. She is employed by Harrelson, Kellett and Lockhart, LLC, Columbia.

The bridegroom-elect is a maternal grandson of the Rev. Cecil Candler of Aiken and the late Mrs. Esther Burns Candler and a paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Porter Mobley Jr.

He is a 1998 graduate of South Aiken High School. He is a 2002 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in math. He is employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina.

Lindsay — Bridgers

Terri N. Bridgers of North Augusta and John N. Lindsay of Idaho Falls, Idaho, were married April 12, 2005, at the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Henderson – Bessette

CHARESTON – Karen Denise Bessette and Jay Daniel Henderson II, both of Charleston, were married April 16, 2005, in St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph R. Roth officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Bernard J. and Ann M. Bessette of Aiken. She is a granddaughter of M. Jeannette Cormier of St. Johnsbury, Vt. and the late G. Gilbert Cormier, and Theresa Y. Bessette of Aiken and the late Roger L. Bessette.

The bridegroom is a son of Merry Lee Henderson of Columbia and Douglas Henderson of Greenville. He is a grandson of Larry Moorman of Aurora, Texas and the late Doris I. Moorman and Helen Henderson of Greenville and the late Jay Daniel Henderson.

Theresa M. Bessette of Aiken was the maid of honor. Andrea Bessette Clutts of Columbia was the matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Marcia Tipton and Tabitha Nichols, both friends of the couple from Columbia.

Shane Tipton of Columbia was the best man.

Groomsmen were Benjamin Renburg of Jacksonville, Fla., friend of the groom; Daniel Pegeus of Charleston, friend of the groom; and Jeffrey Pearson of Columbia, friend of the groom.

Following a reception in Harbour Club the couple left for a wedding trip to St. Kitts. They will reside in Charleston.

Grooms – Dierker

Ron and Ellen Grooms of Aiken announce the engagement of their daughter, Pamela Katherine Grooms of Aiken to Brandon Eugene Dierker of Aiken, son of Don Dierker of Sandersville, Ga., and Cindy and Marvin Wilhite of West Monroe, La.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 6, 2005, at Millbrook Baptist Church.

The bride-elect is a maternal granddaughter of Margaret Wallis Hutchinson of Thomaston, Ga. and the late Ray Hutchinson and a paternal granddaughter of the late Bill and Miriam Grooms. She is a graduate of Aiken High School and of Clemson University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. She is employed by Westinghouse Savannah River Company.

The bridegroom-elect is a maternal grandson of the late Vernon and Evelyn Heft and a paternal grandson of Kenneth and Marlene Dierker of Chestnut, Ill. He is a graduate of Washington County High School and will receive a bachelor's degree in computer science of information systems from Grantham University in May, 2005. He served in the United States Marine Corps and is currently employed by Diebold, Inc.

DesRocher – Mears

Thomas and Jolynn DesRocher of Aiken announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacie DesRocher of Aiken to Chad Mears of Aiken, son of Kenny and Michelle Mears.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 20, 2005 at Hopelands Gardens.

The bride-elect is a maternal granddaughter of Don Wintersteen of Toledo, Ohio and the late Betty Wintersteen, and a paternal granddaughter of the late Joseph and Kathleen DesRocher of Alpena, Mich.

She is a 2000 graduate of South Aiken High School. She is a graduate of USC Aiken with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed by University Hospital.

The bridegroom-elect is a maternal grandson of Danny Rogers of Santee and Jean Watson of Aiken, and a paternal grandson of Bill and Susie Mears of Saraland, Ala.

He is a 2001 graduate of South Aiken High School. He is enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

Crane – Walters

Mr. and Mrs. James W. Walters of Aiken and Ms. Judith Lindsey Walters of Fredericksburg, Va., announce the engagement of their son, Brian Douglas Walters to Annie Laurie Crane of Memphis, Tenn. Crane is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Parkinson and granddaughter of Mrs. Bette Kivelle and the late Mr. William A. Kivelle, all of Memphis. The couple will wed on April 30, 2005 at First Baptist Church Memphis.

Walters is a 1997 graduate of George Mason University with B.A. in political science. He later received his associate's degree in computer science in 1999 and is currently employed in Washington D.C. as a software developer for the Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Crane is a 1999 graduate of Union University in Jackson, Tenn., with a B.A. in communication arts where she was also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.

She currently serves as press secretary to United States Senator Saxby Chambliss, the senior senator from Georgia.

After a honeymoon to Mexico, the couple will reside in Washington, D.C.

Eubanks — Horne

Christy Marie Horne and Steven Alan Eubanks, both of Gloverville, were married April 16, 2005, in Langley. The bride was given in marriage by Mark Broome. The Rev. Bertie Altman officiated.

The bride is a daughter of David and Tammy Horne of Bath, Albert and Connie Butler of Gloverville, and Larry Bryant of Gloverville.

The bridegroom is a son of Louis and Louise Eubanks of Gloverville.

Chapman – Tyner

Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Chapman of Aiken announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Christy Chapman of Aiken to Richard Alan Tyner of Barnwell, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy A. Tyner of Barnwell. He is currently employed at Clariant Corporation.

The bride is a daughter of Carl and Charmayne Shahan of Montmorenci and Donnie Poole of Neeses. She is a granddaughter of Peggy Widener and the late J.A. Widener and the late Vondell Poole and Craston Poole.

The bridegroom is a son of Douglas and Deloras Brownlee of Givhans. He is a grandson of Rebecca Pennington and the late Olin Pennington and the late Sam and Ethel May Brownlee.

Melissa Etheridge of Charleston was the maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Devon Ryan of Mechanville, Va., best friend of the bride; Megan Poole of Williston, sister-in-law of the bride; and Missy Brownlee of Givhans, sister-in-law of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of South Aiken High School. She is a graduate of MUSC with a doctorate in pharmacy. She is employed by CVS Pharmacy.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Summerville High School. He is a graduate of MUSC with a doctorate in pharmacy. He is also employed by CVS Pharmacy.
