Ethan Samuel Nelson, infant son of Eric & Lana (Schneider) Nelson, was stillborn on Thursday, August 11, 2005, at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center, Green Bay.
Survivors include his parents, Eric & Lana Nelson, Manitowoc; a brother, Eli Nelson, at home; maternal grandmother, Pearl Schneider, paternal grandmother, Carol Nelson and a maternal great grandmother, Ann Schultz, all of Manitowoc. Aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends also survive. Ethan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Reuben J. Schneider, his paternal grandfather, Elroy Nelson and his maternal and paternal great grandparents.
Private Funeral Services were held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2006, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service was Pastor Lauren Ley with burial at Gjerpen Cemetery, town of Cato.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Richard L. Rysticken, age 70, of 722 S. 30th Street, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, August 17, 2005, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
He was born August 22, 1934, in Manitowoc, son of the late Leo and Mabel Strouf Rysticken. Richard was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1953. On November 16, 1957 he married the former Lorraine Fogeltanz at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Richard was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company and Foley for 42 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Shoto Sportsman Club and had a love for the outdoors. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and loyalty towards his family and friends. His greatest joy was time spent with his best friend, his loving wife.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Rysticken, Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy & Greg Uhen, River Hills, Wisconsin, Diane Hochkammer, Cherry Valley, Illinois; five grandchildren, Ben, Sarah & Danny Uhen, Andrew & Adam Hochkammer; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom & Lynn Rysticken, Two Rivers, Jim & Marilyn Rysticken, Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, John & Joyce Fogeltanz, Kellnersville, Don & Sandy Fogeltanz, Kellnersville, Joyce Fogeltanz, rural Cato. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, John & Monica Fogeltanz and a brother-in-law, LeRoy Fogeltanz.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2005 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Cremation has occurred.
Friends may call at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2005, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Richard's name.

Jerry J. Farr, age 54, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday, August 21, 2005, at his residence.
He was born November 25, 1950 in Two Rivers, son of Nancy L. (Hallstrand) Farr and the late Donald R. Farr. Jerry was schooled in Manitowoc, graduating from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1969. Working with his hands is what Jerry enjoyed most. He worked at Becker Ornamental Iron, Eck Foundries, Smalley Co., and Gaterman Manufacturing before being forced into "retirement" by disability. You could see Jerry helping neighbors and friends mowing lawns, fixing or building something whenever he could with any type of job that needed to be done. He was also a member of the Eagles Club of Manitowoc where he was employed on a part-time basis.
Survivors include two children, Aundrea (Mike) Jeffers & Jason Farr, all of Manitowoc, the loves of his life. Two grandchildren, Emma & Tyler Jeffers; his mother, Nancy Farr; four sisters, Doretta (Cooki) Klein, Two Rivers, Sue (Greg) Weekes, Cary, North Carolina, Sharon Farr, Manitwooc and Gale Farr. Nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Farr, a brother-in-law, Robert J. Klein and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2005, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be Deacon Paul Gleichner followed by an Eagles Memorial Service. Cremation has occurred.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 12:00 noon Friday, August 26, 2005 until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m.

Kathleen M. Braun, age 78, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, formerly of 909 Dewey Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday, August 21, 2005, at the home.
She was born July 20, 1927 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Karkow Hastreiter. Kathleen was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1945. On May 18, 1946 she married Harold J. Braun at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death June 27, 2000. Kathleen was a clerical assistant at Sears Department Store from 1952 to 1966 and Lapcor Plastics/Newell Corp. from 1966 until her retirement in 1985.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judie & Chuck Tadych, Jeanne & Ken Schipper, all of Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Robert (Stephanie) Schipper, Derek (Tara) Schipper, Heather (Joshua) Andrew, Tracy (Chris) Bandt, Troy (Melody) Tadych, Todd Tadych and special friend, Jessica Devenish; ten great grandchildren, Braedon & Cameron Bandt, Brady, Bryce, Addison, Riley & Sydney Schipper, Kasimir & Augustus Tadych, Hunter Andrew; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger & Carole Hastreiter, Manitowoc and three brothers-in-law, Eugene Braun & his wife, Dorothy, Clem Braun & his wife, Marianne and Jerome Braun & his wife, Darlene, all of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends, especially at St. Mary's Home & Harmony West, also survive. She was also preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Torrie Kathleen Tadych and a sister, LaVerne Weiss Harrell.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2005, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi - Grand Avenue Site, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Hoffman with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 5 to 7 p.m Wednesday where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Leonard R. Kopecky, age 75, of Manitowoc, died Saturday, August 20, 2005 at his residence under Hospice Care.
Leonard was born on September 21, 1929 in Milwaukee, son of the late Frank and Anna (Pemisila) Kopecky. On September 25, 1990 he married Betty Jane Baeckmann in Manitowoc.
Leonard was employed at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay as a lead man.
Survivors include his wife Betty J. Kopecky; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Victoria Kopecky, Manitowoc; four daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian and Tom Pintor, Fredonia, Sharon and Joe Maglio, Milwaukee, Claudette and Don Zirtzlaff, Port Washington, Annette and Jim Hahnenberg, Green Bay; one step-daughter, Pamela Nitzschke, Neenah; one sister and brother-in-law Mary and Steve Chebowski, South Milwaukee, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Leonard is also preceded in death by his first wife Joyce B. Kopecky; one grandson; two brothers George Kopecky, Frank Kopecky.
Private Family Services will be held, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma, Wisconsin.

Ruth D. Kortas, age 91, of Manitowoc, died Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Wisteria Haus, Two Rivers.
Ruth was born on August 7, 1914 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Jacob and Marianne (Gagnon) Geimer. On November 15, 1938 she married Louis Kortas at St. Lukes Catholic Church, Two Rivers, who preceded her in death on October 17, 1958. Ruth was a graduate of the Holy Family Hospital School of Nursing and she received a Certificate of Public Health from Marquette University. She worked in the nursing profession in Manitowoc and Two Rivers for many years. Ruth was a member of the American Contrack Bridge League. She was also a member of the Senior Center in Manitowoc and the Christian Women of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen Kortas, Milwaukee; one sister, Bernice Roehl, Sebring, Florida; a special god-daughter Louise Paider, Two Rivers; special friend Margaret Shikowski, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Kortas; six sisters, Sr. M. Bernice, Sr. M. Candida, Laura Giemer Grimm, Georgiana Geimer Perry, Grace Geimer Smith, Ethelwyn Geimer Hanson; five brothers, Fredrick Geimer, Urban Geimer, William Geimer, Albert Geimer, Martin Geimer.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday August 25, 2005 at St. Francis of Assisi-Waldo site. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday August 25, 2005 at St. Francis of Assisi-Waldo site.

Margaret T. Kohlman, age 88, formerly of 5709 Middle Road, Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, August 23, 2005, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Margaret was born September 16, 1916 in Whitelaw, daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Meidl Zipperer. On February 22, 1938 she married Edmund F. Kohlman at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. Margaret was a homemaker along with helping to operate the family farm she and her husband owned and operated. The couple celebrated 64 years of marriage in 2002. Edmund preceded her in death September 25, 2002. She was a member of the Catholic Knights Branch 298 of Silver Lake and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard & Marlene Kohlmann, Manitowoc, Jim & Betty Kohlmann, Manitowoc, William & Patricia Kohlman, town of Cato; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene Theisen, Racine, Karen & Kurt Trippler, Two Rivers, Marge & Dennis Behnke, Neenah; twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Art Zipperer, and special friend, Grace, Clarks Mills, LeRoy & Donna Zipperer, Whitelaw, Jerome & Bonnie Zipperer, Manitowoc and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Clara Zipperer, Manitowoc and Jeanette & LeRoy Remiker, Two Rivers. She is further survived by two brothers-in-law, Paul Kohlman & his wife, Evelyn, Manitowoc, John Kocourek, Reedsville and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Norbert (Bernadine) Zipperer and Mrs. Clarence (Donna) Zipperer. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law; Bob Theisen, a grandson, Terry Kohlmann, a great grandson, Justin Nelson, three brothers & a sister-in-law, Clarence Zipperer, Ray Zipperer, and his wife, Rose, & Norbert Zipperer and two sisters, Loretta Franzen & her husband, Helmer and Arlene Kocourek. She is further preceded in death by four sisters-in-law, Mayme Seidl & her husband, John, Martha Fictum & her husband, Frank, Elsie Fischer & her husband, Wilfred, Mrs. Art (Irene) Zipperer and a brother-in-law, Victor Kohlman & his wife, Esther.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2005, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. led by Fr. Dave. Frank J. Noskowiak, age 78, of 3019 S. 19th Street, Manitowoc, died Friday morning, August 26, 2005, at his residence.
Frank was born September 13, 1926, in Antigo, son of the late Anton and Lillian Walczak Noskowiak. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a Staff Sargeant from 1945 - 1946. On June 16, 1951, he married the former Agnes Waldvogel at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Phlox. Frank was a welder at the Manitowoc Shipyards, retiring as a foreman in 1986. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed his hobby farm and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes Noskowiak, Manitowoc; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Christine Noskowiak, Roger & Sue Noskowiak, three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy & Wayne Schrank, Manitowoc, Karen & Doug Disch, Manitowoc, Lois & Gary Brandl, all of Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren, Jim & Shannon Noskowiak, Adam & Aaron Noskowiak, Sara & Keith Kugler, Andy & Kari Noskowiak, Tony & Amanda Schrank, Jessica & Scott Vogel, Kim & Gary Hernet, Lauren, Kate & Alex Brandl, Aaron & Sara Disch, Tamara & Scott Rozmarynowski; four great grandchildren, Emma Rose Kugler, Madeline & Brysen Vogel, Colin Hernet; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Marion Nonnemacher, Manitowoc, Alice & Jerome Janseen, Phlox, Joan Jacobson, Antigo; a brother and four sisters-in-law, Dan & Betty Noskowiak, Antigo, Angie Noskowiak, Langes Corners, Louise Noskowiak, Gahannah, Ohio and Cecielia Peterson, Manitowoc. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Cecielia Noskowiak, five brothers and a sister-in-law, Tom Noskowiak, Tony & Bernadine Noskowiak, Henry Noskowiak, Eugene Noskowiak, Paul Noskowiak and a brother-in-law, Elmer Nonnemacher.

Dave Hoffman with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc. Military Rites will be accorded by VFW Otto Oas Post #659.

Gertrude E. Mecca, age 83, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon, August 25, 2005, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Gertrude was born November 13, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late William and Veronica Perry Whalen. She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Elmhurst, Illinois. On June 5, 1943, she married Lester G. Mecca at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lombard, Illinois. The couple celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniverary in June of 1993. Lester preceded her in death November 8, 1993. Eileen was employed with Illinois Bell Telephone Company and in her later years with Holiday House of Manitowoc. She also served on the Manitowoc City Commission for Handicap & Disability Access. Gertrude was a past member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary & Altar Society.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela & David Neuser, Manitowoc, Marcia Johnsrud, Manitowoc; two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip & Debbie Mecca, Sherwood, Joseph & Charlotte Mecca, Manitowoc; a sister, Veronica Martin, Terre Haute, Indiana and her twin brother, Eugene Whalen, California. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Nicole Burris, Michele Erwin, Michael Neuser, Kristin Neuser, Scott Musial, Jenna Johnsrud, Kristal Mecca, Austin Mecca and ten great grandchildren, Olivia, David, Pearson, Sarah, William, Ashley, Tyler, Trevor, Matt & Carter. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends. Gertrude was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John A. Johnsrud and a brother-in-law, Richard Martin.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2004, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi - Marshall Site, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

Nancy L. Danielson, age 56, of 1111 Nagle Ave., Manitowoc, died peacefully early Saturday morning August 27, 2005 following a very courageous battle with brain cancer at Aurora Baycare Center, Green Bay.
Nancy was born on April 9, 1949 in Sheboygan, daughter on the late Jerome and Clara Steiber Warrens. She married Ralph Danielson on August 26, 2000 in Manitowoc. Nancy worked at Imogene's Cleaners of Sheboygan for over 20 years and was a member of the Manitowoc Elks Club.
Survivors include her husband Ralph(Bunnie) Danielson of Manitowoc, two sons Todd Wolff and Brian Wolff, both of Sheboygan, one brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Rose Warren of Sheboygan, one sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Ron Bohlman of Sheboygan. She is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by one sister Jane. She was especially loved and cared for by Tammy Bergene and Joanie Glaeser.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Tom Fieschmann with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2005 until the time of services at 2:00 p.m.
Nancy was a loving and caring wife and mom, who brought much joy and happiness to many with her compassion for life, warm beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humor. She loved and adored her husband Bunnie, cat Callie and was an avid country music fan. Nancy had an extremely positive outlook on life, come what may. She was an angel on earth and will be in our hearts forever.

Carmen S. Herrera, age 79, of 1404 Hillcrest Dr. Manitowoc, died late Sunday, August 28, 2005 surrounded by her family at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Carmen was born on March 15, 1926, in Eagle Pass, Texas, daughter of the late Valente and Aurora (Gonzales) Sanchez. She attended Crystal City High School, in Crystal City, Texas where she graduated with the class of 1946. On August 10, 1950 she married Gilberto Herrera Sr. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City, Texas. Carmen was employed with Mirro Aluminum of Manitowoc for 27 years retiring in 1994. Carmen and Gilberto made their home in Manitowoc and enjoyed 55 years of marriage. Carmen was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother & friend who filled all of our lives with her wonderful sense of humor, love, compassion and zest for life. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading and spending time with her family. Carmen will always be remembered for her inner strength and beauty.
She will be forever missed by her loving and devoted husband, Gilberto; her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Armando Herrera, Manitowoc, Gilberto (Joy) Herrera Jr., Manitowoc; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Terry Henrickson Sr., Manitowoc, Linda and Chad Bastable, Wausau; her fourteen grandchildren, Terry (Jill) Henrickson Jr., Rebecca (Jessie) Klein, Angela Henrickson, Laura (David) Engelbrecht, Kyle, Caitlyn, and Ryan Bastable, Raquel, Nicholas, Sophia, Alfanso, Victoria Herrera, Armando Joseph, and Gilberto Peters; her ten great-grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Dameon Henrickson, Christopher, Alex, Anthony Klein, Deanna DeLouise Henrickson, Angela Carmen Pena Henrickson, Issac Engelbrecht, Nathaniel Herrera; her two sisters, Evangeline Benavides, Corpus Christi, Texas, Aurora Miller, Manitowoc; her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carmen is also preceded in death by her sister Diana De La Rosa; and her grandson, Armando Herrera Jr.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Mary Govier and the staffs of Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc and Aurora Dialysis Center for the loving care and support provided in her final years.
