In 1995 she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. She was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship for graduate study. This year she received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota for research and study related to wetland environments. She is pursuing a post-doctoral fellowship. The groom was the valedictorian of the Bloomington, Indiana high school class of 1987. In 1992 he graduated Phi Beta Kappa form Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He received his Ph.D. in Agronomy from the University of Minnesota this year. He has just accepted a position as a research scientist for the United States Department of Agriculture.

Mr. Long is employed at Electric Boat division of General Dynamics in Groton where he is a ventilation senior designer specialist.
The wedding reception was held at the Westerly Yacht Club. The Longs took a cruise to Alaska. They make their home at 9 Connors Ave., Westerly.

The bride graduated form Liceo Scientifico 'Primo Levi' in 1993 and from the University "Roma - Tize' - Architecture in 2001.
The groom graduated from Westerly High School in 1989, from Edgewood College, Madison, Wis., in 1993, with a Bachelor of Science in sociology, and is candidate for a master of business administration. He also studied at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Mr. and Mrs. Santos were married on June 26, 1954 in Fall River, Mass. Richard Santos, was his brother's best man. Linda (Pacheco) Raposa was her sister's matron of honor.
Mr. Santos is retired from Monsanto and from the Stonington Police Reserve.
Mrs. Santos is also retired from Monsanto.
The Santoses have two sons, David J. Santos and Timothy J. Santos, both of Greenhaven. They have three grandchildren; Sara Santos, Daniel Santos and Joseph Santos.

The Debigares were married on May 22, 1954 at the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, Paw-catuck, by the Rev. Quinn.

The Debigares have four children, Deborah Debigare, Laurie Whipple and Joanne Johnson, of Westerly, and Kevin Debigare of Richmond.
They also have six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
