WILCOXES CELEBRATE 65TH ANNIVERSARY
John and Lois (Williams) Wilcox of 9 Newberry Lane, Rockville, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on July 3, 2004 at a party given by their children.
The Wilcoxes were married on June 24, 1939, at the Hope Valley Baptist Church. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Jonathan Nielson. Henry Wilcox, brother of the groom, was the Best Man. Mildred Williams, sister of the bride, was the Maid of Honor.
The couple has four children: Donald Wilcox of Richmond, Bruce Wilcox of Hope Valley, Sherryl Stedman of Ashaway, and Susan Stedman of Hope Valley. There are also eleven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wilcox is retired from POSI-Seal and Warner Bros. Mrs. Wilcox is retired from the Hope Valley Pharmacy.
