Cleve LeRoy Deming, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, January 12, 2004 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
Funeral Services for Cleve will be held on Wednesday, January 14th, at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. Pastor Richard Fulkerson of the Free Methodist Church and Major Roger Saltee of the Salvation Army will officiate with interment
in the Riverside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13th, from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Chapel.

Cleve was born June 8, 1918 in Isabella County, The son of Bert and Grace (Herrington) Deming. Cleve married Leona Mae Coldwell on September 21, 1940. He worked in the construction industry as a commercial contractor, retiring in 1977. Cleve was a private in the U.S. Army, serving from 1945 to 1946. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and car racing.
Cleve is survived by his wife, Leona Mae Deming of Mt. Pleasant, children, Frank L. (Marjorie) Deming of Zeeland, MI., Bert J. Deming of Elwell, MI.; grandchildren, Steven Deming, Kristi Fosdick, Jeremy and Tonya Deming; great grandchildren, Jason and Melisia Fosdick, Tyler, Jordan and Cayden Deming; nephew, George Deming of Mt. Pleasant.
Cleve was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Fred Deming.
Wilson, Ella Margaret

Ella Margaret Wilson, 90, of Mt. Pleasant, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2004, at Tendercare.
Funeral Services for Ella will be held on Tuesday, January 13, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Dr. Joseph Frankenfield officiating. Interment
will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Ella was born on October 24, 1913, in Isabella County, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Reihl) Kremsreiter. She married Oliver Albert Wilson on January 15, 1936 in Mt. Pleasant. Ella was a homemaker.
Ella is survived by her children, Harold E. (Jeanette) Wilson of Shepherd, Rose M. (Daniel) Buckley of Farwell, and Jerry Lee (Deb) Wilson of Mt. Pleasant; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother Bernard Kremsreiter of St. Louis; and sisters Marie Hoffman of St. Louis, Frieda (Alvin) Schutt of Alma, and Edna Nichols of Alma.
Ella was preceded in death by her husband Oliver in 1982, brothers Donald, Alex, and Richard; and sisters Cecilia and Theresa.
Edgar, Emmer Bernece

Bernece Edgar, 78, of Alma passed away on Thurday, January 8, 2004, at Schnepp's Nursing Home in St. Louis.
Services for Bernece will be held on Monday, January 12, at 3 p.m., at the Ridgelawn Cemetery Chapel in Breckenridge. Rev. Emily Forward of the Breckenridge United Methodist Church will officiate.
Bernece was born on June 10, 1925, in Michigan, the daughter of William and Lillian (Dalton) Yates. She was married to Raymond D. Edgar who preceded her in death on February 26, 1992. Bernece cleaned houses and had worked in the kitchen at Schnepp's Nursing Home. She was a former member of the Eastern Star in Breckenridge.
Bernece is survived by her son Rodney (Shirley) Edgar of Alma; 2 grandchildren, Ronald Edgar and Autumn Weismiller, both of Alma; 4 great-grandchildren, Kyla Edgar, Bailey Edgar, Corinne Weismiller, and Kira Weismiller.
Bernece was preceded in death by her husband and son Ronald.
Jennings, Raymond Irving

Raymond Irving Jennings, 80, of Winn passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
A Memorial Service for Raymond will be held on Saturday, January 10, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Stehouwer of Resurrection Life Church officiating. Interment
of cremains will take place in the Union Cemetery in Winn, Michigan.

Raymond was born June 14, 1923, in Winn, Michigan, the son of Paul and Grace (Johnston) Jennings. He had worked as a custodian for Central Michigan University and previously had worked for Ferro Manufacturing. Raymond married Naomi Jennings on June 15, 1979, in Mt. Pleasant. Raymond served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a former member of the V.F.W.-Mt. Pleasant Post. Raymond enjoyed fishing, shuffleboard, and cards.
Raymond is survived by his children Sandy Vogel (Robert), Dale Jennings (Sharon), both of Mt. Pleasant, Phillip Jennings (Barbara), Jo Simon (Mark), and Arlyn Martinez (Jesse), all of Weidman; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother Allen Jennings (Pauline) of Mt. Pleasant/Zephyrhills, FL.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife; 4 brothers Russell, Sanford, Paul Jr., and Gerald.

Leota Jeanette Dunbar, 67, of Weidman, Michigan passed away on Tuesday January 6, 2004 at the Ingham Medical Center in Lansing, MI.
Funeral Services for Leota Jeanette Dunbar will be held on Friday January 9th at 1 p.m. from the Weidman Baptist Church in Weidman. Pastor Dean Willard will officiate with interment
in the East Lawn Memorial Park in Lansing, Michigan.

Leota was born June 22, 1936, the daughter of Leonard Ford and Eleanor (Easlick) Ford.
She married Robert Dunbar May 1980 in Lansing, Michigan. She was a member of the Weidman Baptist Church. Her hobbies included fishing and recently golf.
Leota Jeanette Dunbar is survived by her husband, Robert of Weidman, 2 children, Roxanna (James) Kavanagh of Akron, OH., Doran (Paula) Blakeslee of Lyle, Ill.
1 grandson, Ethan Blakeslee.
Her Mother , Eleanor Easlick of Lansing, 2 brothers, Justin (Jan) Ford of Florida, Charles (Joan) Ford of Montana.

Ione was born February 3, 1935 in Cass City, Michigan. The daughter of Kilburn Parson and Lillian (Ward) Parson. Ione graduated from Remus High School. She married Maynard A. Conger on August 21, 1985 . Ione was active with the Weidman V.F.W. Auxillary, the Clare Moose Lodge, Lake Eagles and the Mt. Pleasant American Legion.
Ione is survived by her husband, Maynard 'Mac' Conger of Lake, children, Terry (Jean) Schafer of Weidman, Jack (April) Dalgleish of Barryton, Tina Dalgleish of Rochester Hills, Gregg (Dawn) Conger of Weidman, Dennis (Kathy) Conger of Royal Oak, and Tom (Lisa) Conger of Mason, Tennesee. 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Ione was preceded in death by both parents.

Maryann was born July 30, 1912 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Dennis McCarthy and Geraldine (Nagelkirk) McCarthy. Maryann married Lester Serier December 25, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She worked in the payroll at Central Michigan University for 22 years retiring in 1974. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, worked as treasurer for United Way of Isabella Co., and was a thrift store volunteer.
Maryann is survived by 2 daughters, Sally J. Buckley of Mt. Pleasant, and SuLin (Jim) Egan of Chicago, Illinois. 4 grandchildren, Gregg Buckley of Grand Rapids and Tim Buckley of Mt. Pleasant, Payam Maghsoudi of Chicago and James Egan of Chicago, Ill.
Maryann was preceded in death by her husband: Lester Serier in 1993, son Jack Dennis Serier in 1969 and both parents.
Bidstrup, Marvin Carol

Marvin Carol Bidstrup, age 71, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away in his home on January 1, 2004.
Memorial Services for Marvin will be held on Saturday January 10th from the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Terry Nordheim officiating. Cremation has taken place.
The family will receive friends on Friday January 9th from 6:30-8:30 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Mt. Pleasant, and on Saturday January 10th from 10 a.m. until time of service at the Church.

Marvin was born August 24, 1933, the son of Carl and Mildred (Esch) Bidstrup. Marvin married Merlyn Ewbank on October 25, 1986 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Mr. Bidstrup worked as a teacher and administrator with area public schools for 30 years. Along with the last 20 years with the Farwell Public Schools before retiring in 1987. Marvin served in the Army and was a member of the ROTC Reserves. He was also a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed working at the church. He was loved by his many friends and acquaintances.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 18 years, Merlyn Bidstrup of Mt. Pleasant; his children, Joe Bidstrup and special friend (Peggy McPhearson) of Clare and Susan (Tom) Barnes and their children who Marvin was especially proud of Hayley and Shelby all of St. Johns. Marvin is also survived by his Mother, Mildred and his sister Darlene (Dick) Royce of Grand Ledge.
Marvin was preceded in death by his Father, Carl Bidstrup.

Lois Nuss Kagle, age 81, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2003, at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

Lois was born October 18, 1922, in Monongahela, PA, the daughter of George and Hazel (McClure) Nuss. She married Arthur Kagle on March 29, 1947, in Pennsylvania. Lois worked as an operator for Bell Telephone Company. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Lois is survived by her husband of 56 years, Arthur of Mt. Pleasant and son, Thomas G. Kagle of Austin, TX.
Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Nuss in April 2003.
Steinbauer, LaVinna "Vinnie"

LaVinna ' Vinnie' Steinbauer, age 95, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Thursday, December 18, at Central Michigan Community Hospital.
Funeral Services for Vinnie will be held on Monday, December 22, at 10 a.m. from the First Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant with Mr. Ivan Odor and Mr. Mark Christian will officiating. Interment
will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
The family will receive friend on Sunday, December 21, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel and on Monday, December 22, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the Church.

Vinnie was born September 18, 1908, in Muskegon County, Michigan, the daughter of John P. Royston and Alma (Disbrow) Royston. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and Central Michigan University. She married Arthur E. Steinbauer December 31, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant. She was a charter member of the Mt. Pleasant Business and Professional Women's Club in which she held several offices as well as Woman of the Year in 1976 and in 1987, a member of the Federation of Women's Club, Christian Women's Club, Central Michigan Community Hospital Auxillary, and a member of the First Church of Christ. She was well known in the area, having owned and operated a tax accounting service for many years.
Vinnie is survived by her daughter, Anna Kathryn Ureel of Detroit, her grandchildren, Paula (Grady Lee) McKinney of Oklahoma City, OK, Amy Ureel of Detroit, Sandra (John) Peterson of Homan, WI; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, John P. (Arlene) Royston and sister Katherine Nielson, of Lakeview, Michigan.
Vinnie was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; grandson, Michael Ureel; brothers Roscoe, Claude, and Harlan; and sisters Clara and Marianne.
