Aldridge-Hahn
Miss Emily Lauren Aldridge and LTJG Christopher Steven Hahn, United States Navy, were united in marriage at six o'clock in the evening on December 21, 2002, at the First Baptist Church in Batesville. Commander Patrick Hahn and Reverend Asheton Sawyer officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Randell Aldridge of Batesville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Polk of Batesville and Mrs. Ina Armand of Center Point, Texas.
The groom is the son of Commander and Mrs. Patrick Allen Hahn of Naples, Italy. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hahn of Eagle River, Wisconsin, and Dr. and Mrs. Alfred Roth of Portland, Oregon.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an elegant ivory designer gown and carried a bouquet of Flame calla lilies. The strapless bodice featured princess seams and was complimented by a simple chapel length veil of French tulle.
Floral arranger, Bob Wilbanks, transformed the sanctuary into a majestic winter garden. Massive evergreen arrangements flanked a romantic pergola, entwined with grapevines and weeping amaranth and covered with an array of roses, lilies and other fragrant white blossoms. Evergreen wreaths and garlands, accented by a host of pillar candles, filled the windows and ledges throughout and added a warm holiday spirit. Nuptial music was provided by Mary Nell Smith, organist; Sara Dale Ball, soloist; Irwin Bell, violinist; Jean Anderson, violinist; and Daniel Mattern, cellist.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Anna Aldridge. Matrons of honor were Annie Sawyer Allen and Amy Burge File. Bridesmaids were Traci Copeland, Katherine Hahn, Emily Perry, Alicia Pellegrino, Summer Smith, and Rebecca Garrott Thomas. Honorary attendants were Holly Thomas and Lindsay Thomas. Tea attendants were Megan Dawkins, Kate Rogers Lyon, Whitney Mehan, and Melanie McKenzie Thomas. The bride's proxy was Leigh Anne Maloney Williams. The wedding was coordinated by Jill Roberts.
Peter Hahn served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Aldridge, Wade Aldridge, Mason Allen, Charles Coursey, Eric Olson, and David Rautenbach. Ushers were Lent Ervin Thomas, William Thomas, and Donald Woods. The groom chose Wilson Sullivan, Matthew Schlarmann, Mathew Janczak, Brian Hopper, Jared Goul, and Mike Mannichia as swordbearers.
Following the ceremony, the bride's parents honored the couple with a reception at the Panola Country Club, where guests enjoyed dancing to music by Moonstone. Rice girls were Miranda Ortale and Paige Novakowski. The couple departed the reception in a 1937 red Chevy amid a shower of rose petals and under a sky lit with fireworks.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents entertained friends and family of the couple with a rehearsal dinner at the West home in Sardis.
A wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, was enjoyed by the couple who is currently residing in Jacksonville, Florida.
Allen-Sartain
Tonja Allen and Chad Sartin were united in marriage at Popular Corner Chapel in Horn Lake.
The bride is the daughter of Patsy and Larry Harris of Oxford and Bruce and Teresa Allen of Oxford. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Annie Allen of Oxford.
The groom is the son of Harry and Robbie Sartin of Batesville. He is the grandson of the late Ellie J. Sartin, the late Lonnie Sartin and the late Alma Sanders.
The couple took a wedding trip to Hot Springs, Ark. Following the ceremony, the couple makes their home in Horn Lake, Miss.

Allyson Taylor Boyd of Sardis and William Fredrick Goff of Tunica were united in marriage on May 16, 2003, in Helena.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Woods of Sardis. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Goshorn of Sardis and Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Boyd of Tunica.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wayne Goff of Tunica. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Benson of Covington, Tenn. and Mrs. Myrtle Goff of Tunica.
Taylor is a graduate of North Delta School and attended Delta State University. She is currently employed by First Security Bank in Tunica. Bill is a graduate of Tunica Institute of Learning and attended Millsaps. He is an electrician in Tunica. The couple lives in Arkabutla.
Brown-Darby
Donald Darby (Donnie) and Patrisha Brown, both of Sardis, were united in marriage at 8 p.m. in Coldwater at C.A. Church of Christ by Rev. Lee Otis Smith on May 22, 2003.
The bridesmaids were Cathy Davis and Teresa Vaughn.
The best man was Johnny Vaughn and the ringboy was Austin Brown.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dunson of Sardis.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Jeannie Fay Darby of Forrest City, Ark. and of the late Daymond Darby of Oakland.

Charlton-Jamison
Mr. and Mrs. Rodger and Paula Charlton McCallie of Byhalia announce the marriage of their daughter, Melissa Gail Charlton to Timothy Wayne Jamison.
The bride is also the daughter of the late Wendell Charlton of Batesville. She is the granddaughter of Joyce Holland of Byhalia, the late Pete McClain of Monroe, La., the late Malcolm Charlton of Batesville and the late Johnnie Belle Wiggins of Columbus. The bride is a 2001 graduate from South Panola High School and will be graduating from NWCC in May with an associates of arts degree in medical office.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Jamison of Senatobia. He is the grandson of Jim and Mary Legge of Senatobia, Billy Jamison of Southaven and Mary Jamison of Senatobia. The groom is a 2001 graduate of Senatobia High School and he also graduated in May of 2003 from NWCC with an associates of applied science in diesel mechanics. He is currently employed with Lamb Construction as a diesel technician.
A private ceremony was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lamb in Hernando on Oct. 10, 2003. The couple will make its home in the bride's hometown of Batesville.
Clingan-Waits
Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Stewart Clingan of Fulton announce the marriage of their daughter, Jessica Michelle, to Samuel Jacob Waits Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Jacob Waits Sr. of Grenada.
The bride is the granddaughter of Catherine Taylor Moore of Fulton and the late Otis R. Moore and William A. Clingan of Belmont and the late Dora Lee Clingan.
The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William W. Dugger of Batesville and Tommie A. Waits of Grenada and the late Thelma Hawkins Waits and Sue Watkins Waits.
The bride is a graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School where she was Miss IAHS, Student Body President and recipient of the Balfour Award. She attended Itawamba Community College where she was president of Phi Theta Kappa and served as a resident assistant in the women's honor dorm. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in English from Millsaps College, where she received the Clark Essay Medal. She is currently a student at the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she is a member of the Mississippi Law Journal.
The groom is a graduate of Kirk Academy where he was Salutatorian, President of National Honor Society and received the D.A.R. Good Citizen Award. He received a B.S. degree in biology with honors from Delta State University where he was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society. He received an M.D. degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also completed a residency in radiology and received the Resident of the Year award. He is currently completing a fellowship in neuroradiology. Thereafter, he will be employed by Radiology of North Mississippi in Tupelo.
The couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony on December 19, 2002, in the102nd floor observatory of the Empire State Building in New York, N.Y. Family and friends are invited to join the couple at a reception in their honor on Feb. 15, 2003, at 4 p.m. at the Fulton Country Club, Fulton.
Dominicack-Boyd
Leah Marie Dominicak and Nicholas Ward Boyd, were married the evening of July 3, 2003, at the Cana Wedding Chapel in Memphis. The Reverend Edwin Long officiating. Music was selected by the bride and groom.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold "Chip" Dominicak of San Diego, Calif., the granddaughter of Eileen Dominicak also of San Diego.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wilson of Batesville. He is the grandson of Frances Corley of Denver, Colo., and the late Wade Corley Jr. of Carrollton.
The maid of honor was Julie Sayler of Missoula, Montana. The best man was Zack Bokker, brother of the groom. The flower girl was Andrea Pittman of Courtland.
The reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wilson. Assisting at the reception were Rita Cook and Diana Cook of Courtland. The wedding cake was provided by Ellen Newton of Enid.
The couple will reside in Oklahoma City where the groom is stationed in the United State Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base.
Ervin - Strickland
Miss Bridgette Ruth Ervin and Mr. Jonathan Amos Strickland were united in holy matrimony at four in the afternoon on October 26, 2002. The Reverend Andrew Ray officiated the double-ring ceremony that was held at Lake Katherine in Tchula.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Watt Ervin of Lexington. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey F. Ray Sr. of Canton and Mrs. Barbera Ervin and the late Mr. Alfred H. Ervin Sr. of Lexington. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Davis M. Billingsley of Winona and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Joe Strickland Jr. of Batesville. He is the grandson of Mrs. Lady Embry of Chesterfield, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Billy Joe Strickland, Sr. of Columbia, Tennessee; Mrs. Martha Major and the late Mr. James R. Major Sr. of Batesville and Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Billingsley Jr. of Winona.
Nuptial music for the ceremony was provided by KC Ray, pianist; Sarah K. Lindsey, vocalist, and Andy Dinges, guitarist. Scripture was read by Holly Callaghan. The wedding ceremony was directed by Mrs. Candy Hopper and Mrs. Beverly Patton.
Escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride was radiant in an elegant Jim Hjelm original designed by Natasha Adonzio. The ivory silk organza gown with a self-sweeping train featured a fitted strapless bodice embroidered with beaded flowers. Her fingertip veil of ivory tiered illusion edged in silk ribbon cascaded from a comb adorned with pearls. She wore her mother-in-law's pearl necklace and earrings and carried a hand-tied clutch bouquet of red Black Magic roses.
Leslie T. Spell served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Engler, Carrie Stockton, and Olivia Billingsley, sister of the groom. The attendants wore apple draped-neck designer gowns and carried hand-tied bouquets of ivory roses.
Flower girls, Elizabeth Lindsey and Hannah McIntyre, wore light-blue ankle length dresses, baby's breath halos, and distributed red rose petals from their baskets as they walked to the altar area with the ring bearer, Adam Major.
Robert Adams served as the best man. Groomsmen were Jared Hucks, Chad Robertson, and the grooms brothers Kyle Billingsley and Josh Strickland. Ushers for the guests were Bill Posey, Bishop Robertson, and the bride's cousins Aubrey Ray III and Charles Lindsey.
Following the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained the guests with a reception on the decks surrounding the yacht, The Blue Boy. Mrs. Susie Morgan of Canton designed the beautiful floral arrangements that were placed throughout the ceremony and reception areas. She and her expert staff prepared the exquisite buffet, including the lovely three-tiered wedding cake adorned with fresh red roses and flowers. The guests dined and danced the night away to musical entertainment preformed by K.C. and the Southside Rockers.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party, family, and out-of-town guests at The Conference Building in Greenwood. On the morning of the wedding, a bridesmaids' brunch was hosted by Mrs. Jean Lindsey, Mrs. Gundi Ervin, and Mrs Barbera Ervin at her home in Lexington. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Philley were hosts for a wedding day brunch for the groomsmen and other guests at their home in Greenwood.
During the weeks preceding the ceremony, family and friends gave several parties and showers in honor of the couple. Tea showers were given in Lexington at the Presbyterian Church and in Winona at the Methodist Church. A Trim the Tree party at the home of Sarah Barnes and a BBQ party at the home of Judy Jones were also given in Winona; as well as an ABC shower at the home of Joanne Druetto in Batesville.
After Honeymooning in New Orleans, La., and Costa Rica, the newlyweds are now at home in Vail, Colo.
McCormack-Meurrier
Meredith Carnes McCormack and Joseph Michael Meurrier were united in marriage during a 6 p.m. ceremony at Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville on December 28, 2002.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lamar Miller of Prentiss, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Carnes McCormack, Jr., of Yellville, Arkansas, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Roberson Meurrier of Batesville.
Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Sis Long of Batesville, the late Mr. James Wiley Long, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Carnes McCormack, Sr., of Coffeeville.
Grandparents of the groom are Mrs. Bill Meurrier of Batesville, the late Mr. Lawanda Meurrier, Mrs. Marie Ragsdale of Marigold, and the late Mr. Walter Ragsdale.
On the morning of the wedding a brunch was given for the couple, wedding party, and out-of-town guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Flip Phillips.
The Reverends Alan Kilgore and Ben James officiated the double ring ceremony. Reverend Chad Grayson welcomed the guests before the start of the ceremony. Ray Mattox, pianist, Mrs. Robert Mehrle, and Charlie Dulany, organists, presented the music. Soloists included Melissa Barham, Steven Smith and Lacy McNeil, who composed a song especially for the couple. The directors of the wedding were Mrs. Chris Crawford and Mrs. Donnie Durham.
Given in marriage by her father and stepfather, the bride wore a beautiful white gown featuring a spaghetti strap neckline. Beaded venise lace embellished the empire bodice which met an A-line skirt. A satin band trimmed the side overlay of the skirt and around the hem and chapel length train. Covered buttons complimented the back of the gown. The headpiece was layers of illusion adorned with seed pearls falling to the back waist. She carried a bouquet of white Virginia roses.
Mandi Roberson and Joanna Faith Donahue served as maids of honor. Serving as matron of honor was Jennifer Waldrup Colbert.
The bride was also attended by Sarah Dart Andrews, of Clinton; Melissa Mae Barham, of Ruston, Louisiana; Jessica Fowler Ferris, of Bessemer, Alabama; Donna Guest McCormack, sister-in-law of the bride, Maggie Randolph McCormack, sister of the bride, Mary Jennifer Meurrier, sister of the groom, Chelsea Anne Mothershed, cousin of the bride, Olivia Jane Mothershed, cousin of the bride, and Rachel Elizabeth Palmertree of Sardis. The attendants wore black gowns featuring a spaghetti strap neckline. A bow connected the empire waist with a side overlay. They carried nosegays of red preference roses.
Serving as best man was Joe Roberson Meurrier, father of the groom. Groomsmen included John Adam Almond of Fayetteville, Ark.; Thomas Jeremy Bond of Raymond, Quitman Elliot Harrison, II, of Marks, Jeremy Trotter Jones of Brandon, John Handley Kirk, III, of Mobile, Ala.; Peyton Carnes McCormack, brother of the bride, Brad Coleman Ray of Jackson, Steven Gregory Smith of Clinton, and Barry Grant Stegall of Crystal Springs. Ushers were Barrett Wayne Finnie of Marks, William Blaine Finnie of Jackson, and Robert Searcy Shipp of Memphis.
Immediately following the ceremony, the parents of the bride entertained the wedding party and guests with a reception at the Panola Country Club. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Bubba Waldrup, Mr. and Mrs. Flip Phillips, and Mrs. Marie Barksdale. The flowers for the reception were designed by Blossoms of Batesville and soft music was provided by Ryan McBride.
Following the rehearsal on Friday night, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Roberson Meurrier entertained the wedding party and family with a seated dinner at Boonie Mae's restaurant in Batesville.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Michael Meurrier are at home in Jackson.
