Born in Winooski, VT, he was educated in Methuen. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran serving in the Navy. He was a Pipefitter at the Naval Shipyard in San Diego for twenty-five years until retiring in 1980. He also served as the Pipefitters Union President.

He was part owner and operator of the family business, Angelo the Florist in Haverhill for thirty years and manager of Cerasuolo Apartments. He was a lifelong member of St. James Church. Eddie was an avid fisherman , NASCAR fan, and followed the local supermodified auto races.

Born in Altoona, PA, daughter of the late Harry E. and Mary M. (Schneider) Claycomb, she attended Altoona High School. She worked for Fitchburg Ford, Fitchburg, MA in the parts department for many years before moving to Haverhill in 1968. She was then employed as a sales lady at John's Shoe Store on Winter St. for over seventeen years until her retirement in 1985.She moved to Georgetown in 1989 and served as secretary for the Trestle Way Club.

He was born in Haverhill, son of the late Charles I. and Maria A. (Poissant) Page and lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1933. A Veteran of WWII, he served in the Navy as a pilot. Mr. Page worked as a purchasing agent for Western Electric in North Andover for many years until retiring in 1980.

KINGSTON, NH -- Maureen P. (Hickey) Bourque, 67, of Kingston, NH, formerly of Haverhill, died Wednesday, August 17, at Exeter Hospital after being stricken ill suddenly at home.
She was born in Haverhill, the daughter of the late, Andrew and Mary (Coughlin) Hickey and was a graduate of both St. James Grammar and High School, class of 1955. Mrs. Bourque worked for Contact Plastics in Hampstead, NH for the past seven years, and for a time was a bus driver. She enjoyed playing bingo, camping, shopping, and knitting, but most of all being a homemaker. She was a member of the Kingston V.F.W. Post 1088 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was born in Lawrence, daughter of the late James S. and Helen (Donahue) Townsend and was educated in the Lawrence public schools and lived here all of her life. She was a lifelong member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Lawrence. Mrs. Playdon worked for the Honeywell Corp. in Lawrence as a quality control inspector for over ten years.

Evelyn M. (Kristiansen) Perkins, 67
HAVERHILL, MA -- Evelyn M. (Kristiansen) Perkins, 67, of the Bradford section of Haverhill, died Sunday evening at Penacook Place after a lengthy illness.
Born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Edmund H. and Hilda (Hamilton) Kristiansen- Coles, she was a 1956 graduate of Hampton Academy in Hampton, NH and lived in Stoneham before moving to Haverhill. Mrs. Perkins worked for the Samuel Roberts Company in Haverhill as their shipping and receiving manager for eleven years, she then worked as a receptionist at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center in Lawrence for fifteen years until her retirement in 2000. She also gave to her community, as holding the office of Secretary on the Board of Directors of the Team Coordinating Agency, Inc. in Haverhill for over twenty years. She loved traveling up and down the New England coast, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Seabrook Church of Christ.

Born in Haverhill, the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Margaret (Cavan) Chapman,she was a lifelong resident. She graduated from St. James High School in 1936 and the Carney Hospital School of Nursing in Boston. Mrs. O'Connell was a Registered Nurse for the City of Haverhill Board of Health and the Haverhill public school system for many years. She was also a mother, homemaker and nurse for eleven children.She loved spending summers on Hampton Beach and time with her large family.

Stephen M. Fountaine, 41
HAVERHILL, MA -- Stephen M. Fountaine, 41, died suddenly at his home in Henderson, Nevada, after being stricken ill.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Stephen L. and Beverly S. (LaRochelle) Fountaine. He attended Haverhill Public schools and was a 1981 Graduate of Haverhill High School. He lived in Henderson for two years, previously living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the past fifteen years. Stephen worked as an underground cable technician for the local communications company in Las Vegas. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed skydiving, SCUBA diving, hunting, fishing, rock climbing, skiing, and hockey. He was also training for his small aircraft license.

HAVERHILL, MA -- Douglas L. Blynn, 48, of the Bradford section of Haverhill, died Friday, July 15, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after an illness.
Born in Haverhill son of William M. and Barbara L. (Ellery) Blynn, he attended Haverhill Public schools and was a 1975 Graduate of Whittier Regional Vo-Tech. He served in the U.S. Army from 1975 until 1981. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed going to Patriots games, he played football for the Garibaldi Club semi-pro football team, and the Vernon plastics bowling league. He was a proud member of boxer Jeff Fraza's team, and enjoyed vacationing with his family at Newfound Lake in New Hampshire. Mr. Blynn was a letter carrier for the U.S.Postal Service for over twenty years, working at the Haverhill office. He was a member of the Garibaldi Club, the Haverhill Amvets, and Sacred Hearts Church.

MERRIMAC, MA -- Hubert J. DeVeau, 80, of Merrimac, formerly of Haverhill, died at his home on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Andover, son of the late Joseph and Etta (Comeau) DeVeau, he was a 1942 graduate of Haverhill High School and attended Wentworth Institute, Boston. He lived in Merrimac for the past 35 years. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy. He was a member of Haverhill AMVETS #147, American Legion Wilbur Comeau Post, Plaistow Fish and Game Club and Church of the Nativity. Mr.DeVeau was a Mill-wright for Western Electric Co. in North Andover until 1981, he then drove busses for Whittier Regional Vo-Tech. His hobbies included washing dishes at Al's Place on Primrose St. for the past 25 years, and riding his motorcycles.

HAVERHILL, MA -- Gary L. Jones, 53, of Haverhill, died Saturday at his home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Haverhill, son of Richard H. and Elva E. (Clevesy) Jones. He lived in Groveland and attended Pentucket Regional High School prior to moving to Haverhill. Mr. Jones was in the collections business working at V.K.I. in Lawrence for over fifteen years until retiring this past year due to his illness. He loved reading, music, going to the beach, fishing, and playing cards.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. Haverhill. The Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 AM in the Funeral Home with burial to follow in Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Ave. Haverhill.

Carl W. Prescott, 84
HAVERHILL, MA -- Carl W. Prescott, 84, of Haverhill, died Thursday at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington after a lengthy illness. Born in Nashua, NH the son of the late Carl G. and Jennie Mae (Nickerson) Prescott, he was a 1939 graduate of Haverhill High School and lived here all of his life. Mr. Prescott was a WWII and Korean Conflict veteran serving in the merchant marines for thirteen years. Prior to the war he was a member of the civilian conservation corp. working on construction of the Kancamangus Highway in northern New Hampshire. He was a layout operator for western Electric and AT & T for close to thirty years retiring in 1985.A fine craftsman, he enjoyed woodworking, summers at Hampton Beach, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral services on Monday at 9:00 AM from the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church 120 Bellevue Ave. Haverhill. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hilldale Ave. Haverhill. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to All Saints Church 120 Bellevue Ave. Haverhill, MA 01832.

Kevin G. Downer, 39
HAVERHILL, MA -- Kevin G. Downer, 39, of Haverhill, died Sunday, June 26, suddenly at his home. Born in Haverhill, February 12, 1966 son of Edward C. and Diane M. (Cote`) Downer. He was a 1985 Haverhill High School Graduate and lived here all of his life. Kevin worked for various companies in the Haverhill area, including, auto financing, collections, security, and most recently, as a chauffer for a limousine service. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed working out, golfing, reading, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. Haverhill. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10 AM at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave. Haverhill. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Ave. Haverhill. Robert N. 'Bunny' Leavitt, 67
HAVERHILL, MA -- Robert N. 'Bunny' Leavitt, 67, of the Bradford section of Haverhill, died at his home Monday evening after a lengthy illness.
Born in Haverhill, son of the late William J. and Grace F. (Welch) Leavitt he attended Haverhill public schools and lived here his entire life. Mr. Leavitt worked in the local shoe industry for various manufacturers over a thirty year career. He then went on to work at his son's car dealership, Bob Leavitt Auto and Truck Sales in Kingston, NH for the past ten years. Besides working with his son, he enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren, attending their sporting events, and traveling with his wife. He was an avid Thorough-bred horse racing fan.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to call on Thursday, from 5 to 8 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Friday Morning at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Christina M. Serrano, 20
HAVERHILL, MA -- Christina M. Serrano, 20, of Haverhill, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Merrimack Valley Hospital after being stricken ill suddenly at home.
She was born in Lawrence, the daughter of Carlos Serrano and Sandra Cain. She attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of the Andover GLEC program. Christina enjoyed playing on the swing set, swimming, and Barney, the purple dinosaur.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Plaistow Cemetery, Elm St. Plaistow. Memorial donations may be made to Christina M.
