HAVERHILL, MA -- Margaret E. (Cotter) Ruth, 87, of 9th Ave. Haverhill, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital after being stricken ill suddenly at home.
Born in Haverhill, the daughter of the late John F. and Mary Alice (Sullivan) Cotter, she was a graduate of St. James Grammar School, Haverhill High School, class of 1936, and McIntosh Business School in 1937.She was a lifelong member of St. James Church and Our Lady of the Rosary Sodality of St. James. Mrs. Ruth worked for the State of Massachusetts Division of Employment Security as an Interviewer for over eighteen years until her retirement in 1976.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the St. James Capital Improvements Fund, 6 Cottage St. Haverhill, MA 01830 or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Rd. Bethesda, MD, 20814 Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be held Friday, at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill, burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Primrose St. Haverhill

Theodore C. "Ted" Hamblet, 62
SEABROOK BEACH, NH - Theodore C. 'Ted' Hamblet, 62, of Seabrook Beach, died Friday, December 2, 2005 at Brigham and Women's hospital in Boston after being stricken ill suddenly.
He was born in Lawrence, son of the late Theodore C. and Florence B. (Bell) Hamblet. He was a 1961 Graduate of Andover High School, attended Cambridge Academy in 1962, went on to play football at Dakota Wesleyan University and received his degree in business from Burdett College in Boston in 1964. He served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Wednesday, December 7, at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill, from 4 to 7:00 PM with funeral services at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. A private burial will take place in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice.

Jerome F. Daly
KINGFIELD, MAINE - Jerome Francis Daly's heart had lived in the Western Mountains of Maine long before he and his family moved here three years ago. Sadly, Jerome died unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, breaking the hearts of his family and friends.
During the 12 years that Jerome ran a business in Hudson, N.H., he had dreamed of a healthier, simpler life that allowed him time to do what he cared about most|spend time with his three children and with his wife, and share with them the beauty and peace of Maine's wilderness. Throughout
those years, he had continued to come play in western Maine whenever he could, enjoying all the things he loved to do in the outdoors: skiing, snowmobiling, rafting, camping, and hiking.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Daly Children's Scholarship Fund, c/o United Kingfield Bank, 7 Depot St., Kingfield, ME 04947. Calling hours are Wednesday at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at All Saints Church, Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, at 11 a.m. Services will be held in Haverill, Mass. A private burial will follow.

Ronald F. Brown, 54
HAVERHILL, MA - Ronald F. Brown, 54, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Saturday, October 15, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital.
Mr. Brown was born in Haverhill, son of the late Ralph L. Jr. and Harriett A (Paul) Brown. He attended Haverhill public schools. Ronny was well known in Haverhill, for many years he worked for various businesses throughout the city doing yard work, shoveling walks in the winter, gutter maintenance, and all around handy man.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Monday at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. Haverhill from 5 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM in the funeral home, a private burial will take place in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.

Kathryn (Daniels) Cote, 83
ATKINSON, MA -- Kathryn (Daniels) Cote, 83, of Atkinson, formerly of the Bradford section of Haverhill, died Thursday at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a brief illness.
Born in New Brunswick Canada, the daughter of the late George and Agnes (Curley) Daniels, she attended Haverhill public schools and was a 1940 Graduate of Haverhill High School. Mrs. Cote was a supervisor for New England Telephone Co. for over fifteen years until her retirement .
At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours. Funeral Services and burial are private. Memorial donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B. Paul Scott Torla, Sr., 41
HAVERHILL, MA - Paul Scott Torla, Sr., 41, of Haverhill, formerly of Lawrence, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, October 1, 2005.
Born in Lawrence, son of Paul C. Engel and Ann C. (Tanski) Casey, he attended Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical High School and moved to Haverhill in 1998. Mr. Torla was employed as a cement truck driver at Torromeo Industries, Kingston Ready-Mix Division in Methuen for the past five years, previously he worked for the Bell/Simons Co. in Methuen as the warehouse manager for fifteen years.
Paul was a devoted father and sports enthusiast. He coached girls little league and Junior Olympics softball teams throughout the Merrimack Valley for many years. He enjoyed an active lifestyle, and loved going to the beach, working out, the Red Sox and the Patriots.
He was predeceased by his step-father, William J. Casey. Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday, from 2 to 4:00PM and 6 to 8:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:00 PM in the funeral Home.

Richard I. 'Dick' LeBlanc, 82
HAVERHILL, MA Richard I. 'Dick' LeBlanc, 82, of Haverhill, formerly of Nahant and Lynn, died Saturday October 1, 2005 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen after a lengthy illness.
Mr. LeBlanc was born in Lynn, the son of the late, Henry O. and Nellie G. (Jaquith) LeBlanc and lived there until 1990. He moved to Nahant for five years and wintered in Florida, until moving to Haverhill ten years ago. Although he was a designer for the General Electric Company in Lynn for forty-four years, he was well known for his humor and art work as a cartoonist and claimed to do over ten thousand caricatures for various people on any occasion. He designed logos for the MA Pike Authority and the Good Neighbor Charity Fund in General Electric.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to call from 3 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. Haverhill. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home.

James B. Helps, Sr., 62
DOVER, NH -- James B. Helps, Sr., 62, of Dover, NH, formerly of Haverhill, died Friday, September 23, 2005 at the Wentworth-Douglas Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, son of the late Samuel and Marcella (Moengen) Helps and was a 1960 Graduate of Robinsdale High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Navy. Mr. Helps worked for Northeast National Bank in Seabrook, West Newbury and Georgetown for many years before becoming the Finance Manager at Poulin Chevrolet in Rochester until his retirement four years ago.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 2, at 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Exeter, 2 Spring St. Exeter, NH. A private burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Haverhill at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Ave. Bethpage, NY 11714. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill.

Jennie (LoSciuto) Puopolo, 92
WOBURN, MA -- Jennie (LoSciuto) Puopolo, 92, died Monday, September 12, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Scalarta) LoSciuto, the youngest of fourteen children. She attended Boston Public Schools. A loving mother and homemaker, the family moved to Woburn in 1954 where she lived on Lake Circle for almost forty five years until moving to New Horizons-Choate for another seven years, and most recently living at Youville Manor in Lexington.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. Stoneham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 9:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Main St., Woburn. Burial to follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Robert R. Bonenfant, 68
HAVERHILL, MA -- Robert R. Bonenfant, 68, a lifelong resident of the acre section of Haverhill, died at his home on Sunday morning, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Haverhill, son of the late Albert T. and Dorothy M. (Brooks) Bonenfant. He was a 1955 graduate of Haverhill Trade School. Mr. Bonenfant worked as the overnight clerk at the front desk of the Best Western Hotel, and the former Howard Johnsons, in Haverhill, for over twenty-five years until retiring in 1999. Bob had a great sense of humor, and was a devoted family man.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Tuesday, at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill at 10:00 AM on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Salem St. Bradford.

Joanna P. DeSesa, 64
FRANKLIN, NH - Joanna P. DeSesa, 64, of Franklin, NH, formerly of Haverhill, died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Dominic DeSesa and Catherine (Rampulla) DeSesa Vargo, she attended Haverhill public schools and Haverhill High School. She resided in Franklin, NH, for the past twenty years. Ms. DeSesa was a gifted stained glass artisan. She owned and operated the House of Whispering Glass in Hampstead, NH. She also loved to travel, and her work brought her all over the world. She worked for the Anna Lee Doll Co. in Meredith, NH as a technical support person for over fifteen years until retiring six years ago.
She leaves two brothers and their wives, Andrew M. and Glenda DeSesa, of Amesbury, Roger M. and Heidi DeSesa, of Marina Del Ray, CA, two sisters, Marie Ann and her husband Cleo Dan Hurley, of Hampstead, NH, and Antoinette K. Palmeter, of Haverhill, several nieces and nephews, grand- nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Dominic M. DeSesa Memorial donations may be made in her name to NH SPCA, 104 Portsmouth Ave, Stratham, NH 03885. Friends and family are respectfully invited to call today Dec.21, 2005, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. A private burial will take place in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
