OCALA Kathleen Mary Anderson, 85, a retired headlight assembler for Chrysler, died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, she came here from Detroit in 1972. Ms. Anderson was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Dawson, Ocala; niece, Roberta M. Masson, and friend, John Waligorski, both of Ocala.

DUNNELLON Charles L. Cates, 80, a retired equipment operator, died Friday, June 16, 2000 at home.
A native of Miami and a lifelong Floridian, he moved here 15 years ago. Mr. Cates was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Cates, and son, Charles Wayne Cates in 1999.
Survivors include son, Richard Arthur Cates, Washington; daughter Judy Ayers, Ocala; four brothers, two sisters and 3 grandchildren.

OCALA Amy L. Harris, 58, a homemaker, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Harris was a native and lifelong resident of Ocala and was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.

A native of Chicago, he came here from Michigan 17 years ago. Mr. McAleer was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in Ocala.

OCKLAWAHA Jerry Lee Thayer Sr., 68, a retired insurance agent for Independent Life Insurance Co., died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Appalachia, Va., he came to Ocklawaha from Miami 32 years ago. Mr. Thayer was a member of First Assembly of God in Ocala; the Life Underwriters Training Council; charter member of New Life Church in Ocala, and charter member of First Freewill Baptist in Hollywood.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Thayer, Ocklawaha; daughters, Debbie Mottl, Belleview and Kathy Day, Powder Springs, Ga.; son, Jerry Thayer, Ocklawaha; sisters, Jackie Wilkes, McRae, Ga., Carol Cunningham, Newnan, Ga. and Barbara Halpin, Jacksonville; and five grandchildren.

HOLLY HILL Jean-Baptiste Begin, a retired cabinet maker for Modern Age Kitchens in Holly Hill, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at his residence.
A native of St. Ludger in Quebec, Canada, he came to Holly Hill in 1970. Mr. Begin was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Ormond Beach and the Ormond Beach Senior Center.

SUMMERFIELD Aldie "Ken" Caswell, 70, retired from Armstrong Pattern and Mold Company, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at his residence.
A native of Chittenango, N.Y., he moved to Summerfield in 1990 from Bridgeport, N.Y. Mr. Caswell was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, receiving the Purple Heart. He was a Mason for several years.
Survivors include his daughter, Rosalie Haynes, Chittenango; son, Larry Caswell, Tucson, Ariz.; and companion, Mary Redhead, Summerfield.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine LeGuin.

HERNANDO Tillie Anderson Coe, 81, a retired elementary school teacher in Sarasota, died Monday, June 19, 2000.
A native of Quitman, Ga., she moved to Hernando in 1971 from Sarasota. Mrs. Tillman was a member of the Kappa Delta Gamma Sorority. She was Methodist.
Survivors include her sons, Wallace L. Coe, Jr., Gainesville and Philip S. Coe, Fayetteville, Ga.; daughter, Dolores Coe, Tampa; sisters, Helen Thomas, Hernando and Phyllis Smith, Inverness; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Girardot was a native of Monroe, Ind., and a member of First United Methodist Church.

A native of New York, he came here in 1988 from Hyde Park, N.Y. Mr. Roschlau was a fireman for Roosevelt Fire District; a fire commissioner in Hyde Park; a retired IBM employee, and a U.S. Navy veteran.
