OCALA — Ella M. Saunders, 85, a retired bookkeeper for a carpet company, died Sunday, June 18, 2000.
A native of Berwyn, Ill., she came here from Ocklawaha, in 1994.
Survivors include her son, John Saunders, Ocklawaha; sister, Marcella McAllister, North Berington, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Doris E. V. Wilkerson, 74
NICEVILLE — Doris Elizabeth Vaughn Wilkerson, 74, a homemaker, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at Twin Cities Hospital in Niceville.
A native of Norman Park, Ga., she came to Niceville from Ocala, in 1998. Mrs. Wilkerson was a member of Silver Springs Shores Presbyterian Church. She was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary and Altrusian of the year in Ocala, member of the Legacy Society, the Scholarship Support Group of Central Florida Community College and a supporter of Arnette House. Mrs. Wilkerson enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband, retired United States Air Force Col. Alva Wilkerson, Niceville; son, Lt. Col. Steven Wilkerson, Niceville, Michael Wilkerson, Pace, and Maj. Kurt Wilkerson, Honolulu; sister, Dorothy Robinson, Enunclaw, Wash.; brothers, Gene Vaughn, Punta Gorda, and Calvin Vaughn, Oxford; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Arnette House.

Lois E. Brastad, 84
OCALA — Lois E. Brastad, 84, a retired restaurant hostess, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Jackson, Miss., she came here in 1952 from Mississippi. Mrs. Brastad was Baptist.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas Brown, Ocala, James Brown, Pennsylvania, and Paul Brown, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard S. Brown.

Jason Clay, 24
CRYSTAL RIVER — Jason Clay, 24, a waiter, died Friday, June 16, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Edmonds, Wash., he came to Crystal River two years ago. He loved to cook and enjoyed people and animals.
Survivors include his father, Matthew Clay; mother, Sonya Clay; brother, Nick Clay; and sister, Heather Clay, all of Sonora, Calif.; paternal grandparents, Dick and Dolly Clay, Washington; maternal grandparents, Al and Aldyth Hendrickson, South Dakota; and fiancee, Mary Ann Potter, of Ocala.

Richard J. Danehy Sr., 76
CITRUS SPRINGS — Richard Joseph Danehy Sr., 76, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River.
A native of Cambridge, Mass., he came from Arlington, Mass., to Citrus Springs two years ago. Mr. Danehy was a retired bank security officer for 20 years. He was a avid coin collector and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Danehy, Dunnellon, and Richard Danehy Jr., Citrus Hills; daughter, Deborah Robbins, Cambridge, Mass.; brother, Joseph Danehy, West Haven, Conn.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Walter P. Hartley, 82
OCALA — Walter P. Hartley, 82, a maintenance worker, died Saturday, June 17, 2000.
A native of Lowell, Mass., he came from Homosassa to Ocala in 1994. Mr. Hartley was Baptist.
He is survived by his niece, Carol Barnes, Ocala.

Joanne M. Kemnitz, 38
SILVER SPRINGS — Joanne M. Kemnitz, 38, a teacher's aide at Ocala Springs Elementary School, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at her residence.
A native of Worcester, Mass., she came from Worcester to Silver Springs 22 years ago. Mrs. Kemnitz was an active member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Kemnitz, Silver Springs; parents, Frank and Mary Miale, Ocala; sons, Matthew and Christopher Kemnitz, both of Silver Springs; sister, Patty Hriczo, Melbourne; brothers, Michael Miale, Durham, N.H., and James Miale, Ocala.

Helen J. Lee, 86
OCALA — Helen J. Lee, 86, a homemaker, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Harborside Healthcare of Ocala.
A native of Bowling Green, she came from Miami to Ocala in 1957. Mrs. Lee was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sisters, Louise Patterson and Euphemia Ellison, both of Lakeland; brother, Edwin A. Jones, Port St. Lucie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther H. Lee, in 1998.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church.

BEVERLY HILLS — Leonard Victor Lucy, 83, died Monday, June 19, 2000.
A native of Alexandria, Ind., he came from Rochester, Ind., to Beverly Hills five years ago. He was a retired sign painter and a musician in Indiana and California.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret J. McIntyre Lucy, Beverly Hills; daughter, Julia Peterson; and stepson, Bruce Hulitt.

Mary McCloud, 79
CITRA — Mary McCloud, 79, a homemaker, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Pennsylvania, she came from Orlando to Ocala in 1982. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Orlando.
Survivors include her husband, Wilson McCloud, Citra; son, Jimmy Batchelor, Orlando; daughters, Evie Corbett, Reddick, Cheryl Hartman, Key West, Kathleen Brandt, Astor, and Juanita Gainey, Monticello, Ky; sisters, Peggy Conaco, Jacksonville, and Vera, Orange Park; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Charles and Jack David Batchelor.

OCKLAWAHA — Marion C. Robinson, 69, a homemaker, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Palm Gardens of Ocala.
A native of Glennville, Ga., she came to Ocklawaha from Hollywood in 1984. Mrs. Robinson was Baptist.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Cross, Ocklawaha, Marilyn "Cathy" Martin, Ocklawaha, and Marion "Carol" Hazelwood, Hutland, Tenn.; sons, Jerry Robinson, Belleview, and John Robinson, Ocala; sister, Edna Christianbury, Charlotte, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Terry Martin Smartt, 45, a Walgreens warehouse stockman, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of McMinnville, Tenn., he came from Kissimmee to Ocala in 1992.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy S. McMahon, Ocala; stepfather, John M. McMahon, Ocala; sisters, Emma L. Walls, Lavergne, Tenn., and Loma C. Dugan, Kingston Springs, Tenn.; brother, James M. Smartt, Mount Juliet, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stella T. Watson, 97
INVERNESS — Stella Thomas Watson, died Sunday, June 18, 2000.
A native of Lithuania, she came from South Bend, Ind., to Inverness 40 years ago. Mrs. Watson attended school in Moline, Ill. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness and a member of the Catholic Women's Club.
Survivors include her nephew, Nick Jawoiscz, Rock Island, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Stanley Thomas, and Mr. Watson.

Leon Williams, 80
OCALA — Leon Williams, 80, an IBM employee, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000.
A native of Union Center, N.Y., he came from Endicott, N.Y., to Ocala in 1982. Mr. Williams was a retired troubleshooter for IBM.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Williams, Ocala; sons, Leon David Williams, Vancouver, Wash., Ted L. Williams, Hampstead, N.C., and Michael K.Williams, Endicott, N.Y.; daughters, Ellen Distler, Lakeland, and Cheryl Elizabeth Staniszewski, Endicott, N.Y.; sisters, Evelyn Novicki, Binghamton, N.Y., Florence Hilton, Athens, Pa., Mildred Welch, Jacksonville, and Marion Crawford, Vestal, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Kenyon Davis, 74, a retired driver for DHL, died Friday, June 16, 2000, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Coleman, Ga., he moved here from New York in 1990. Mr. Davis was a member of the Marion Oaks Assembly of God Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Davis, Ocala; daughter, Diane Murph, Queens, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
