OCALA — Lloyd W. Turner, 80, a former city editor for the Star-Banner, died Friday, July 7, 2000.
A native of Alberta, Canada, he moved here from Halifax, Nova Scotia, 19 years ago. Mr. Turner was a member of First Prebyterian Church of Canada.
Survivors include his son, Richard Turner, Suwanee, Ga.; daughters, Judith Fine, Jacksonville and Lynda Gerlaugh, Topeka, Kan.; brother, Clarence Turner, Port Albern, British Columbia; sisters, Lillian Barrett, Alberta and Mildred Oliver, Red Bluff, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

James Lee Dillon, 66
RICHMOND, Va. — James Lee Dillon, a corporate vice president for Media General Inc. and former publisher of Virginia Business magazine, died Saturday. He was 66.
Dillon joined Richmond Newspapers Inc., a company owned by Media General, in 1961. In 1965, he was appointed director of advertising, a position he held for eight years. He served concurrently as business manager in 1971 and 1972.
In 1973, Dillon was promoted to vice president and general manager and, four years later, assumed the position of corporate vice president.
Dillon was named vice president of Media General Business Communications Inc. and publisher of Virginia Business magazine in 1986.
Media General Inc. is a diversified communications company that owns the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the Tampa Tribune, the Winston-Salem Journal, and 40 percent of The Denver Post. The company also has holdings in television and cable television stations.
He is survived by his wife, Rhoda T. Dillon, of Richmond; sons Christopher and Mark Dillon of Richmond, Thomas E. David of Greensboro, N.C., and R. Bryan David of Newport News; daughters Susan David Soueidan of Williamsburg and Elizabeth David Kurtz of Reston; and a brother, Louis Dillon, of Lynchburg.
Margaret L. Alexander, 48
BELLEVIEW — Margaret Lee Alexander, 48, a homemaker, died Monday, July 10, 2000, at the Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Alexander was a native of Ocala, and a lifelong resident of Marion County. She was a member of the Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas L. Alexander, Belleview; daughters, Stacy Riedle, Citra, and Reba Estes, Belleview; sons, Thomas S. Alexander, and Thomas S. WINTER SPRINGS — Dorothy Grace Clarke, 76, a homemaker, died Monday, July 10, 2000.
Mrs. Clarke was a native of Meridian, Miss., and a resident of Winter Springs.
She was was preceded in death by her father, Robert A. Young, and her mother, Iva G. Young.
Survivors include her son, Rodney S. Clarke, Orlando; daughter, Sandra Clarke Marsh, Winter Springs, and Virginia G. Dickenson, Orlando; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

EUREKA — Judy C. Denmon, 41, a paralegal, died Monday, July 10, 2000, at her home in Eureka.
A native of Fort Pierce, she moved here from Holly Hill in 1973. Mrs. Denmon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eureka, and a member of the Interchurch Bowling League.

INVERNESS — Mary E. Dooley, 87, a secretary of the U.S. government, died Monday, July 10, 2000.
A native of Roxbury, Mass., she moved here from Beverly Hills four years ago. Mrs. Dooley was Catholic. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, Catholic Women's Club, and a member of the Widow and Widower's Club at the church.

A native of Cheshire, Ohio, he moved here from Mount Vernon, Ohio, 25 years ago. Mr. Giffin was Jehovah's Witness. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Robert Ohlson, 80
LAKELAND — Robert Ohlson, 80, a retired IBM employee, died Friday, June 23, 2000.
A native of Cleveland and former resident at Rainbow Springs Estates in Dunnellon, he moved here from Endicott, N.Y., 10 years ago. Mr. Ohlson was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, master mason of the Melrose Lodge in Ohio, and also a member of The Nile Shrine Temple in Taipei Taiwan. He was a volunteer for the AARP.

Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Sennett K. Parker, and by her son, Robert C. Parker.

A native of Warrenton, Ga., he moved here from Georgia in 1949. Mr. Reese was a member of the Wyomina Park Baptist Church, and the Ocala Moose Lodge. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an employee of Libby-McNeill, and also worked for the city of Ocala.

James E. Vaughn, 79
CITRUS SPRINGS — James E. Vaughn, 79, a retired professional golfer, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Vaughn was a native of Indianapolis and has been a resident of Citrus Springs since 1981. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a 50-year member of the Professional Golf Association, past president of the Indiana Section of PGA in 1953 and he was also a member of former professional at Pleasant Run Golf Club, the Lake Shore Country Club and Maple Creek Country Club. He was an employee of Foxcliff Country Club after his retirement. Mr. Vaughn was the owner of Mooresville Golf Club.
Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth J. Vaughn.

OCALA — Joyce Florence Clauss, 84, a retired clothing presser, died Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at New Horizon Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Detroit, she moved here from Michigan in 1945. She was an employee of Silver Springs Sportswear.
Mrs. Clauss was preceded in death by her son Keith Goodman.
Survivors include her daughter, Edith Kirkland and son, Phillip Goodman, both of Ocala; brother, Harold Sleeman of Eastpointe, Mich.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
