Shirley J. Clark, 58
CITRA — Shirley Jean Clark, 58, a four-year employee of Sam's St. Johns Seafood Restaurant in Ocala, died Thursday, July 20, 2000.
Mrs. Clark was a native of West Virginia and a resident of Citra. She was a member of Independent Missionary Baptist Church in West Virginia, and American Legion Auxiliary 368 in Orange Lake. She was a former employee of Shoney's.
Survivors include her husband, Gail R. Clark, Citra; daughters, Carla Evans, Winifrede, W.Va., Angie Clark, Chelyan, W.Va., Cyndi Hanson, Pinch, W.Va., and Kelly Back, Charleston, W.Va.; sister, Marie Stanley, Ohley, W.Va.; brother, Joseph Wolfe, Flint, Mich; and five grandchildren.

OCALA — Clyde E. Ethridge, 93, a retired general contractor, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Moultrie, Ga., he moved here from Georgia in 1937. Mr. Ethridge was a member of Berean Baptist Church.

BEVERLY HILLS — Thomas A. Finley, 96, a retired leather worker, died Thursday, July 20, 2000.
A native of Chase City, Va., he moved here from Medford, Mass., five years ago. Mr. Finley was Baptist.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara F. Hines, Chelmsford. Mass.; sisters, Christine Dance, Boston, and Gladys L. Crutcher, Stoughton, Mass.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his companion, Marguerite E. Pinkston.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte F. Finley.

OCALA — Melvin Kupisz, 75, a retired engineer for Ford Motor Co., died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at his home.
A native of Toronto, Canada, he moved here from Livonia, Mich., 20 years ago. Mr. Kupisz was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. He was a member of the Canadian Legion and was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a volunteer for the Ocala Marion County Citizens Emergency Response and helped build and design the Marion Oaks Library.

DUNNELLON — Arno H. Laux, 74, a retired U.S Navy captain, died Friday, July 21, 2000.
A native of Philadelphia, he moved here from Virginia Beach, Va., in 1998. Mr. Laux was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving 37 years. He earned the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Laux, Dunnellon; son, Arno James Laux, Virginia Beach; daughters, Jacqueline C. Laux and Debra Laux Stolle, both of Virginia Beach; sister, Myra Culver, Philadelphia; five stepchildren; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

A native of Lakeview, Ohio, he moved here from West Palm Beach 15 years ago.
Mr. Runyon was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Dunnellon and Masonic Lodge 722 in Lakeview.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Mr. Wallace was Protestant. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 174 in Palm Harbor, American Legion Post 155 in Crystal River, Pipetrades Local 123 in Tampa, and the Scottish Rite. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

A native of Pascagoula, Miss., he moved here from Daytona Beach two years ago. Mr. Collier was Catholic.
He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II.
