OCALA — Alverta Mae Chastain, 75, a retired food service worker, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at New Horizon Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Floyd, Va., she moved here from Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., in 1999. Mrs. Chastain was Baptist.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Ashworth, Sylacauga, Ala., and Patricia Lomineck, Tampa; sons, Rufus L. Bryson, Georgia, Trester L. Bryson, Florida, Marvin L. Bryson, Georgia, Bobby J. DUNNELLON — Frederick Hein, 82, a retired claims manager, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital.
A native of Manhattan, N.Y., he moved here from Westbury, N.Y., 22 years ago. Mr. Hein was Episcopalian. He was an employee of Motor Insurance Corp., and a member of Rainbow Springs Gold and Country Club. Mr. Hein was a U.S. Army veteran and the former treasurer and responder of Dunnellon Fire Rescue.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Helen Hein, Dunnellon; sons, Kevin T. Hein, South Africa, and James Hein, Westbury; daughter, Mary E. Foley, Cooper City; and one grandchild.
Mr. Hein was preceded in death by his sons, Christopher and Frederick Hein.

HERNANDO — Charles A. Joyner, 78, a retired teamster, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000.
A native of Albany, N.Y., he moved here from Lee, Mass., 21 years ago. Mr. Joyner was Catholic. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Teamsters' Union Local #294, New York.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Phyllis I. R. Joyner, Hernando; daughters, Phyllis I. Horner, Albany, Vt., and Barbara A. Bradway, Inverness; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A native of Boston, he moved here from Massachusetts 18 years ago. Mr. Kenney was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church. He was an electronic quality control data coordinator for Raytheon Co.

A native of Georgia, he moved here from Miami in 1980. Mr. Mincey was a member of Coral Villa Baptist Church in Miami. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War and an active member in the 4th Marine Division.
