A native of Lakeland, she moved to Morriston from Anthony in 1988. Mrs. Adams was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints and Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 251, Chiefland.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Adams, Romeo; father, Freddie Noble, Romeo; mother, Betty Noble, Romeo; daughters, Jana Haycock, Cedar City, Utah, and Kathryn Adams and Andrea Adams, both of Romeo; brothers, Wesley Noble, Tulsa, Okla., and Norman Noble, Romeo; and paternal grandmother, Ruby Noble, Romeo.

OCALA — Helen N. Bradbury, 92, who was self-employed, died Friday, July 28, 2000.
Mrs. Bradbury was a native and a lifelong resident of Ocala. She was owner of Bradbury Enterprises. Mrs. Bradbury was a member of First Presbyterian Church; past president of Florida Newspaper Advertising Executives; and past president of the Ocala Pilot Club.
Survivors include her nephews, Richard Dodge, Summerfield, George Newsom, Atlanta, and William Newsom, High Springs; and nieces, Virginia Collar, Columbia, S.C., Carolyn Wadsworth, Salt Lake City, and Bettye Boling, Dallas.

ORANGE LAKE — Velma Burry, 94, a retired U.S. postal clerk, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at her home.
A native of Monroe County, Miss., she moved here from Mississippi in 1914. Mrs. Burry was a member of First United Methodist Church of Reddick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos W. Burry; and daughter Frances Martin.
Survivors include her daughters, Joann Sherouse, Pompano Beach, and Ruth McAlister, Oklahoma City; son, Marvin Burry, Orange Lake; brother, John E. Savage, Cocoa; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Dolores G. Cole, 76
LECANTO — Dolores Green Cole, 76, an advocate for people with mental retardation, died Friday, July 28, 2000.
A native of Evansville, Ind., she moved here from Satellite Beach in 1982. Mrs. Cole was past state secretary of the Florida Association for Retarded Citizens; founding member of Satellite Beach Garden Club; member of Citrus County Central Florida Sugar Babes Doll Club; and a member of Trinity Community Church. She was recognized for her distinguished work with the mentally retarded by the Florida Human Rights Committee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Cole.
Survivors include her sons, Chester V. Cole, Lecanto, and David B. Cole, Satellite Beach; daughter, Dorothy Jean Cole, Lecanto; sister, Muriel Corbett, Temperance, Mich.; four grandsons; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

INVERNESS — Ruth E. Lingham, 99, a registered nurse, died Saturday, July 29, 2000.
Miss Lingham was a native of Winchester, Mass. She was a graduate of Hartford Hospital School of Nursing. Miss Lingham worked in various Seventh-day Adventist medical institutions.
She is survived by her sister, Alice L. Chesbro, Kittery, Maine; two nieces; and one nephew.

Frederick D. McLean, 88
CITRUS SPRINGS — Frederick D. McLean, 88, a retired detective, died Sunday, July 30, 2000, at his home.
A native of Rockingham, N.C., he moved here from Boston 22 years ago. Mr. McLean retired from the Boston Police Department after 33 years of service. He was a founding member and first president of the Massachusetts Police Association of the Afro American, and a member of Boston Police Benevolent Association; the Boston Police Relief Association and the Citrus Springs Civic Association. He was national secretary of the National Black Police Association; founder of the Citrus Springs Neighborhood Watch program; and active member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church of Citrus Springs.
Survivors include his wife, Mehernim M. McLean, Citrus Springs; son, Frederick D. "Ricky" McLean, Citrus Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
