OCALA — Shelly S. Vernon, 72, a retired director of recreation for the city of Ocala, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Vernon was a native and a lifelong resident of Ocala. He was a member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr. Vernon was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his daughters, Lawana Croskey, Ocala, and Shelley Vernon, Orlando; brother, William Buddy Vernon, Ocala; sisters, Sadie Mosby, Lossie Williams, Elousie Vernon, Alice Vernon and Ora Lee Vernon, all of Ocala; and three grandchildren.

BEVERLY HILLS — Virginia Vogt, 70, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 30, 2000, at her home.
A native of New York City, she moved here from New Jersey 22 years ago. Mrs. Vogt was Catholic.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Arthurs, Tampa; four nieces; and two nephews.

James Lee Dillon, 66
RICHMOND, Va. — James Lee Dillon, a corporate vice president for Media General Inc. and former publisher of Virginia Business magazine, died Saturday. He was 66.
Dillon joined Richmond Newspapers Inc., a company owned by Media General, in 1961. In 1965, he was appointed director of advertising, a position he held for eight years. He served concurrently as business manager in 1971 and 1972.
In 1973, Dillon was promoted to vice president and general manager and, four years later, assumed the position of corporate vice president.
Dillon was named vice president of Media General Business Communications Inc. and publisher of Virginia Business magazine in 1986.
Media General Inc. is a diversified communications company that owns the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the Tampa Tribune, the Winston-Salem Journal, and 40 percent of The Denver Post. The company also has holdings in television and cable television stations.
He is survived by his wife, Rhoda T. Dillon, of Richmond; sons Christopher and Mark Dillon of Richmond, Thomas E. David of Greensboro, N.C., and R. Bryan David of Newport News; daughters Susan David Soueidan of Williamsburg and Elizabeth David Kurtz of Reston; and a brother, Louis Dillon, of Lynchburg.

Allen Corey Bruno was a native of Floral City.

A native of Converse, Ind., he moved here from Wabash, Ind., 15 years ago. Mr. Dangerfield was a member of the North Grove Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Moose Lodge, both in Wabash.

A native of Wolcott, Ind., she moved here from Huntington, Ind., in 1973. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was co-owner of a Hallmark Card and Gift Shop in Indiana.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Bardonner, Richmond, Va.; sons, Dennis McComb, Marietta, Ga., and Richard McComb, Canton, Ga.; sister, Louise Shaff, Lafayette, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Beaudette was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pawtucket, China—Burma—India Association in In- verness, Beverly Hills Civic Association and Beverly Hills Recreation Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
