LIVE OAK — Clara Meffert, 93, a former economist for Florida Power Corp., died Saturday, August 5, 2000.
Mrs. Meffert was a native of Florida and a former resident of Ocala. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Clara Brown McCoy, Gainesville, and Martha Brown Cheek, Live Oak; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Eddy F. Reifschneider, 71
OCALA — Eddy F. Reifschneider, 71, a retired assembler for OMC—Evinrude, died Saturday, August 5, 2000, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Milwaukee, Wis., he moved here from Wisconsin 20 years ago. Mr. Reifschneider was Lutheran. He was a member of Ocala Bowling Association, Ocala Bowling Hall of Fame and the planning committee for Veterans Memorial Park. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie J. Reifschneider, Ocala; daughters, Jody Garrett, Knoxville, Tenn., and Rene Behmke, Hendersonville, N.C.; sister, Carol Schneider, Sullivan, Wis.; brothers, Harold Reifschneider and Ervin Reifschneider, both of Wisconsin, and Raymond Reifschneider, Paradise Island; and 11 grandchildren.

Bertha C. Spencer, 90
MARSHALL, Texas — Bertha Cagle Spencer, 90, a retired homemaker, died Thursday, August 3, 2000, at The Marshall Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Spencer was a native of Merigold, Miss., and a former resident of Ocala. She was a member of College Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her husband, Grady E. Spencer.
Survivors include her daughters, Opal L. Devine, Utica, Miss., and Genyth L. Bankston, Oden, Ark.; sons, William E. Spencer, and Herman L. Spencer, both of Ocala, and Robert L. Spencer, Marshall; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great—grandchildren.

Dorothy L. Trout, 93
SILVER SPRINGS — Dorothy Lee Trout, 93, a retired secretary, died Thursday, August 3, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Trout was a native of Isle of Wight County, Va., and a longtime resident of Silver Springs. She was a member of First Christian Church in Dunnellon, and Parkersburg, W.Va. Eastern Star Chapter 14.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil E. Trout, Silver Springs; daughters, Annabelle Roberts, Ocala, and Betty L. Taylor, Walker, W.Va.; son, Al Trout, Marietta, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

LAKE PANASOFFKEE — Ellen R. Willis, 67, died Friday, August 4, 2000, at her home.
A native of Athens, Ohio, she moved here from Wiscasset, Maine 24 years ago.
Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her daughter, Lois Ann Heidgerd.
Survivors include her husband, Charles F. Willis, Lake Panasoffkee; sons, Steven Martin, Columbus, Ohio, Donald Martin, Seffner, and Charles F. Willis Jr., Lake Panasoffkee; daughters, Peggy Triplett and Theresa W. Sain, both of Lake Panasoffkee; brothers, Bill Dennis, and Dale Dennis, both of Brooksville, Nathaniel Dennis, Newark, Ohio, and Jimmy Dennis, California; sister, Ada B. Koon, Logan, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Nicholas M. Gabriel, 71
INVERNESS — Nicholas Milan Gabriel, 71, a retired electro-mechanical engineer for Curtis Wright Corp. and White Machine, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000.
A native of Arlington, N.J., he came to Inverness from Towaco, N.J., 10 years ago. Mr. Gabriel was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Inverness and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Elizabeth Zebold Gabriel, Inverness; sons, David Robert Gabriel, Orlando, and Michael Edward Gabriel, Edison, N.J.; daughter, Lynn Ellan Gabriel McKelvey, Jackson, N.J.; brother, Robert E. Gabriel, Westhampton, N.Y.; and six grandsons.

Hobert R. Glascock, 73
OCALA — Hobert R. "Hoby" Glascock, 73, a retired U.S. Army sergeant major, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2000, at his residence.
A native of Sherman, Texas, he came here from Fort Amadore 25 years ago. Mr. Glascock was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Marion Oaks and was a recipient of the purple heart. He was awarded the U.S. Army's Legion of Merit and was a member of various organizations, including Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 8012, where he served three terms as grand knight and faithful navigator. He was past president of the Marion Oaks Civic Association and past president of the Marion Oaks Fire Department and a former Scout master for of the Boys Scouts of America.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lotte Glascock, Ocala; mother, Pauline Andrews, both of Ocala; daughter, Jennette Marie Wesley, Summerfield; sons, Hobert R. "Hoby" Glascock III, Hutchinson, Kan., and Paul Gary Glascock, both of Ellicotte City, Md.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Leonard J.Vanderwiele Parken, 18
OTISVILLE — Leonard John Vanderwiele Parken, 18, a student and ride operator for Amusements of America, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, in State College, Pa.
A native of Middletown, N.Y., he was a lifelong resident of New York.
Survivors include his father, Jody Lee Vanderwiele, Belleview; stepmother, Virginia Vanderwiele, Belleview; mother, Betsy Parken, Otisville; sister, Stephanie Vanderwiele, and brothers, Stephan and Joseph Vanderwiele, all of Belleview.

Roy L. Anderson, 82
CITRUS SPRINGS — Roy L. Anderson, 82, a retired truck driver, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River.
A native of Capron, Ill., he moved here from Homestead three years ago. Mr. Anderson was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was the recipient of one service stripe, three overseas service bars, an American defense ribbon, an Asiatic-Pacific theater ribbon with two bronze battle stars, a Philippines liberation ribbon with one bronze battle star, an American campaign medal, a good conduct medal and the World War II victory medal. Mr. Anderson was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Anderson, Citrus Springs; daughters, Pat Pfeifer, Salem, Mo., Terry Tibbetts, Winter Haven, Yvonne Connery, Crystal River, Lavonne Lee, Florida City, and Wilma List, Crivitz, Wisc.; sons, Kevin Anderson and Darrell Anderson, both of Homestead, Floyd Grubb, Sandwich, Ill., and Roger Anderson, Marinette, Wisc.; sisters, Evelyn Ford, Camarillo, Calif., and Joy Scholl, Malta, Ill.; brother, Norman Anderson, West Milton, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughters, Donna Grubb, Rena Fullbright and Debbie Anderson.

Harry J. Brenner, 74
DUNNELLON — Harry J. Brenner, 74, a retired dry cleaner, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, in Crystal River.
A native of Poland, he moved here from Turner Falls, Mass., in 1991. Mr. Brenner was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon; a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge No. 2521; and an associate member of Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge No. 2522, Inverness. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Brenner, Dunnellon; three sons; three daughters; and four sisters.

OCALA — Eleanore Claire Campbell, 79, a homemaker, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Hazelton, Pa., she moved here from Jacksonville in 1987. Mrs. Campbell served as a nurse in the U.S. Navy. She was Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, Jarrette Campbell, Ocala; sons, Dale A. Campbell, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Douglas E. Campbell, Chesapeake, Va.; sisters, Romayne Martin and Marguerite Hooven; and two grandchildren.

INVERNESS — Roy F. Chinell Jr. 48, a tour bus driver, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000.
A native of Chicago, he moved here from Oak Lawn, Ill., 10 years ago. Mr. Chinell was chaplain for Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerial No. 3992, Inverness, and a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Elmhurst, Ill.
Survivors include his parents, Roy F. and Lillian M. Chinell, Inverness; sisters, Gail Moran, Phoenix, Martha Buffa, Villa Park, Ill., Candice L. Bren, St. Charles, Ill., and Penny L. Svetic, Carol Stream, Ill.; and 15 nieces and nephews.

OCALA — Dennis F. Clifford, 70, a retired supervisor for Marion County Solid Waste, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000.
A native of East Rochester, N.Y., he moved here in 1981. Mr. Clifford was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Clifford; son, Steven Clifford, both of Ocala; daughters, Tracy Appling, Salinas, Calif., Tina Alexander, Ocala, and Colleen Denison, Aurora, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.

Alois J. Cyrek, 76
SUMMERFIELD — Alois J. Cyrek, 76, a retired machinist, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Forks, N.Y., he moved here from Elma, N.Y., in 1986. Mr. Cyrek was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Isabela Cyrek, Summerfield; son, James A. Cyrek, Mauldin, S.C.; daughters, Judy Hosie, Hamburg, N.Y., and Janis McCullaugh, West Seneca, N.Y.; sister, Barbara Pawlowski, Buffalo, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
