REDDICK — Julius C. Munguia, 30, a dispatch manager for West Building Materials Center, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000.
A native of Miami, he moved here from Dingmans Ferry, Pa., in 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Munguia, Reddick; son, Stone Munguia, Reddick; daughters, Tiani Munguia and Dani Munguia, both of Reddick; mother, Norma Lackritz, Ocala; stepfather, Robert Lackritz, Ocala; brother, Richard Munguia, Ocala; and sisters, Ana Munguia, Ocala, Isabel Vespi, Pembroke, and Maria Munguia, Coconut Creek.

Wilson C. Santee, 92
OCALA — Wilson Celsester Santee, 92, a retired assistant foreman for General Motors, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.
A native of Denison, Texas, he moved here from Michigan in 1980. Mr. Santee was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Helen L. Santee, Ocala; and his sister, Eloise Caldwell, Flint, Mich.

Murray G. Sims, 86
OCALA — Murray G. Sims, 86, a retired street sweeper for the city of Ocala, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Palm Garden of Ocala.
A native of Anthony, he was a lifelong resident of Marion County. Mr. Sims was a member of Woodmen of the World and St. Mark's United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sims; sons, Murray Glen Sims and Edward Clarence Sims; daughters, Sharon Breitenbecker and Patricia Hermann; brother, J.V. Sims, all of Ocala; sisters, Oveida Okiea, Texas, and Reva Sontag, Live Oak; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

David V. Small, 45
CRYSTAL RIVER — David Vernon Small, 45, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.
A native of Lewiston, Maine, he moved here from Seymour, Conn., in 1993. Mr. Small was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. He was Protestant.
He is survived by his mother, Irene Small, Crystal River; and sister, Lettie A. Mei, Hernando.

Nancy C. Smith, 72
OCALA — Nancy C. Smith, 72, a retired teacher, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at her home.
A native of Norwalk, Conn., she moved here from Orlando in 1981. Mrs. Smith was a member of Silver Springs Shores Presbyterian Church and the Ocala Heartland Club.
Survivors include her son, Christopher Wales, Mineola, N.Y.; daughter, Gwynne M. Wales, Lake Mary; sisters, Jane Trehubenko, Norwalk, and Mary Fredrick, Pattersonville, N.Y.; stepchildren, Eugene Smith, Charles Smith, Sara Chappell and Dorothy Evangelist; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to Silver Springs Shores Presbyterian Church Building Fund or Hospice of Marion County.

Edith Y. Abshier, 89
BELLEVIEW — Edith Yates Abshier, 89, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Surrey Place of Ocala.
A native of Madelia, Minn., she moved here from Minnesota 70 years ago. Mrs. Abshier was a member of First Baptist Church in Belleview.
Mrs. Abshier was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. "Lou" Abshier.
Survivors include her sons, Loren Y. Abshier, and Larry S. Abshier, both of Belleview; sister, Edna S. Abshier, Ocklawaha; seven grandchildren; and eight great—grandchildren.

Trustum C. Edmunds, 66
OCALA — Trustum C. Edmunds Jr., 66, a retired manufacturing production controller, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at his home.
A native of Columbia, Pa., he moved here from Cohocton, N.Y., in 1999. Mr. Edmunds was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala, and the New Jersey Audubon Society. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Edmunds, Ocala; daughter, Theresa Whiteside, Houston, and Diane Jackson, Cohocton; and sister, Dorothy Hansen, Henryville, Pa.

Dare I. Gore, 84
YANKEETOWN — Dare Ivan Gore, 89, a retired man, died Friday, Aug., 11, 2000.
A native of Cleveland, he moved here from Columbus, Ohio, in 1980. Mr. Gore was a member of Yankeetown Coast Guard Auxiliary, the National Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Homebuilders and a former Yankeetown City councilman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Frances E. Gore, Yankeetown; daughter, Darlene Vaughn, Ocala; brother, Harry P. Gore, Yankeetown; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Edward W. Hewitt Sr., 84
OCALA — Edward W. Hewitt Sr., 84, a retired entrepreneur, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Kannapolis, N.C., he moved here from Savannah, Ga., 40 years ago. Mr. Hewitt was a member of Masonic Lodge, North Carolina Shrine Club, Disabled American Veterans, and the Lions Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna H. Davis, Silver Springs; sons, Edward W. Hewitt Jr., Ocala, and Terry L. Hewitt, Deltona; sister, Beatrice Hall, Kannapolis; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

TAMPA — Denise Marie Jenkins, 42, a hair dresser, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000.
Miss Jenkins was a native of Selma, Ala., and a resident of Tampa.

Henry, Cedar Key; daughter, Gina Henry, Ocala; father, James Jenkins; mother, Patricia Jenkins, both of Fairborn, Ohio; brothers, James Jenkins Jr., Huber Heights, Ohio, and Jay R. Jenkins, New Carlisle, Ohio; sister, Dawn M. Matilda, New Carlisle; and one grandchild.

John E. McMillan Sr., 79
HOLLYWOOD — John "Jack" E. McMillan Sr., 79, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, in Belleview.
Mr. McMillan was a native of Pittsburgh, and lived in Hollywood, Fla., most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his sons, Daniel McMillan, and Jack McMillan Jr., both of Hollywood; daughter, Loisan Thompson, Ocala; and six grandchildren.
Donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Paul J. Myatt, 35
OCALA — Paul J. Myatt, 35, a cashier, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at his home.
A native of Weymouth, Mass., he moved here from Carver, Mass., 14 years ago. Mr. Myatt was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics.
Survivors include his father, John Myatt; mother, Grace Myatt; and brothers, John Myatt Jr., Joseph Myatt, all of Ocala, and Steven Myatt, Clearwater.

Fay J. Richardson, 89
OCALA — Fay J. Richardson, 89, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at TimberRidge.
A native of Jenny Lynn, Ark., she moved here from Lake Placid in 1996. Mrs. Richardson was a member of First Methodist Church in Lake Placid.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.V. Richardson; and daughter, Rose M. Chapel.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Jaggers, Ocala; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Charles R. Shriner, 86
OCALA — Charles Rarick Shriner, 86, an industrial control engineer for Westinghouse, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at TimberRidge Nursing Home.
Mr. Shriner was originally from Sun City Center, and he was a resident of Ocala for nine years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and also served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Shriner, Ocala; daughter, Maribeth Shriner, Minneapolis; son, Donald R. Shriner, Half Moon Bay, Calif.; sisters, Martha Golden, Valrico, Helen J. Irvin, Greensburg, Pa.; brother Jack Shriner, Valrico; and two grandchildren.

James W. Tobin, 83
OCALA — James W. Tobin, 83, a retired manufacturing agent, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Ocala Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Marlboro, Mass., he moved here from Tampa in 1989. Mr. Tobin was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He was a member of Council 81, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, American Legion Akroyd Hood Post in Massachusetts, Ohio Hardware Association, and New England Hardware Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Tobin, Ocala; daughter, Maureen L. Levitt, Chatsworth, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
