OCALA — Wilson Celsester Santee, 92, a retired assistant foreman for General Motors, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.
A native of Denison, Texas, he moved here from Michigan in 1980. Mr. Santee was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Helen L. Santee, Ocala; and his sister, Eloise Caldwell, Flint, Mich.

Murray G. Sims, 86
OCALA — Murray G. Sims, 86, a retired street sweeper for the city of Ocala, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Palm Garden of Ocala.
A native of Anthony, he was a lifelong resident of Marion County. Mr. Sims was a member of Woodmen of the World and St. Mark's United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sims; sons, Murray Glen Sims and Edward Clarence Sims; daughters, Sharon Breitenbecker and Patricia Hermann; brother, J.V. Sims, all of Ocala; sisters, Oveida Okiea, Texas, and Reva Sontag, Live Oak; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

CRYSTAL RIVER — David Vernon Small, 45, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.
A native of Lewiston, Maine, he moved here from Seymour, Conn., in 1993. Mr. Small was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. He was Protestant.
He is survived by his mother, Irene Small, Crystal River; and sister, Lettie A. Mei, Hernando.

OCALA — Nancy C. Smith, 72, a retired teacher, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at her home.
A native of Norwalk, Conn., she moved here from Orlando in 1981. Mrs. Smith was a member of Silver Springs Shores Presbyterian Church and the Ocala Heartland Club.
Survivors include her son, Christopher Wales, Mineola, N.Y.; daughter, Gwynne M. Wales, Lake Mary; sisters, Jane Trehubenko, Norwalk, and Mary Fredrick, Pattersonville, N.Y.; stepchildren, Eugene Smith, Charles Smith, Sara Chappell and Dorothy Evangelist; and two grandchildren.

A native of Madelia, Minn., she moved here from Minnesota 70 years ago. Mrs. Abshier was a member of First Baptist Church in Belleview.
Mrs. Abshier was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. "Lou" Abshier.

OCALA — Trustum C. Edmunds Jr., 66, a retired manufacturing production controller, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at his home.
A native of Columbia, Pa., he moved here from Cohocton, N.Y., in 1999. Mr. Edmunds was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala, and the New Jersey Audubon Society. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

YANKEETOWN — Dare Ivan Gore, 89, a retired man, died Friday, Aug., 11, 2000.
A native of Cleveland, he moved here from Columbus, Ohio, in 1980. Mr. Gore was a member of Yankeetown Coast Guard Auxiliary, the National Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Homebuilders and a former Yankeetown City councilman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

A native of Kannapolis, N.C., he moved here from Savannah, Ga., 40 years ago. Mr. Hewitt was a member of Masonic Lodge, North Carolina Shrine Club, Disabled American Veterans, and the Lions Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

OCALA — Charles Rarick Shriner, 86, an industrial control engineer for Westinghouse, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at TimberRidge Nursing Home.
Mr. Shriner was originally from Sun City Center, and he was a resident of Ocala for nine years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and also served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of Council 81, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, American Legion Akroyd Hood Post in Massachusetts, Ohio Hardware Association, and New England Hardware Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
