SUMMERFIELD — Joan Hance, 71, a retired radio station accountant, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, at her home.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to Summerfield from Fort Lauderdale in 1997. Mrs. Hance was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Belleview.

A native of Malta, Ohio, he moved here from Newark, Ohio, two years ago. Mr. McGrath was a member of United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

BEVERLY HILLS — Frank W. Gay, 77, a gun manufacturing business foreman, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Gay was a native of Springfield, Mass., and a resident of Beverly Hills. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 10087, and a lifetime member of Hernando Elks Lodge. He was a Citrus Memorial Hospital volunteer for 10 years. He was a merchant marine, U.S. Navy, and Air National Guard veteran.

OCALA — Joseph T. O'Brien, 77, a retired manager for A&P Grocery store in Brooklyn, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at his home.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to Ocala from Woodhaven, N.Y., 11 years ago. Mr. O'Brien was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Angela Santos Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 4781. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, where he served on Underwater Demolition Team No. 21.
Mr. O'Brien was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret O'Brien.
