OCALA — Dale N. Richards, 87, a retired school custodian for the state of Illinois, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Massey, Ontario, he moved to Ocala from Chicago 15 years ago. Mr. Richards was member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Richards, Ocala; daughter, Carol LaChance, Ontario; son, James D. Richards, Chicago; sister, Laura Labbe; brother, Daniel LaChance, both of Massey; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Doris J. Spafford, 70
William E. Bethune, 83
SUMMERFIELD — William E. Bethune, 83, a retired chief petty officer for the U.S. Navy, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at Sylvia's Hospice House in Ocala.
A native of Aberdeen, N.C., he came to Summerfield from Elberta, Ala., in 1963. Mr. Bethune was Presbyterian and a member of the American Legion Post 284 in Belleview. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Bennett, Summerfield; brother, Colin Bethune, Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Margaret F. Caldwell, 83
LAKE PANASOFFKEE — Margaret F. Caldwell, 83, a retired licensed practical nurse, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000.
A native of Bronx, N.Y., she came to Lake Panasoffkee from Middle Village, N.Y., 34 years ago. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Inverness.
Survivors include her son William Thomas Caldwell, Westport, N.Y.; daughter, Corinne Kerr, Holtsville, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Caldwell.

Jacob A. Francis, 75
OCALA — Jacob Alexander Francis, 75, a retired cook for Goldwater Memorial Hospital, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, in Ocala.
A native of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, he came here from Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1989. Mr. Francis was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Feldora Francis, Silver Springs Shores; daughters, Gemmel Cunningham, Brooklyn, Karen Francis, Elmont, N.Y., Patricia Ann Francis Blake-Lee, Fayetteville, N.C.; sisters, Alice Richardson, St. Martin, and Sybil Francis, St. Croix; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Henson Francis.

Jesse J. LiVolsi, 82
BEVERLY HILLS — Jesse J. LiVolsi, 82, a retired diamond consultant in the jewelry industry, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at his home under the care of his family and Hospice.
A native of Manhattan, N.Y., he came to Beverly Hills from Long Island, N.Y., 14 years ago. Mr. LiVolsi was a member of several organizations including; member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church where he was an usher; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10087 in Beverly Hills, Knights of Columbus, U.S. Navy. He was also a landscaping volunteer supervisor for Lakeside Homes in Beverly Hills.
Survivors include his wife, Mary LiVolsi, Beverly Hills; son, Anthony LiVolsi, Long Island; daughter, Carol Ann Feldman, Stony Brook, N.Y.; brother, Vincent LiVolsi; Nevada; and one grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Citrus County Hospice.

William I. Riddle, 73
OCALA — William I. Riddle, 73, a retired medical services administrator for the U.S. Air Force, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2000.
A native of Lakeland, he came here from Dade City in 1988. Mr. Riddle was a member of the Air Force Medical Services Correction Association and the American Academy of Medical Administrators.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Riddle, Ocala; son, William B. Riddle, Zephyrhills; daughters, Linda Diane Bostian and Debroah Ann Pricher, both of Ocala; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Robert R. Rogerzinsky, 73
CRYSTAL RIVER — Robert R. Rogerzinsky, 73, a retired water treatment plant operator, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County.
A native of Bakerton, Pa., he came to Crystal River from Coalport, Pa., five years ago. He was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Crystal River and a past Grand Knight of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret E. Rogerzinsky, Crystal River; son, Edward B. Rogerzinsky, San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Linda M. Byers, Crystal River; and two grandsons.

Rebecca Brinckerhoff, 71
OCKLAWAHA — Rebecca Brinckerhoff, 71, a retired secretary, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000.
A native of Ocala, she was a longtime resident of Ocklawaha. Mrs. Brinckerhoff was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala. Survivors include her son, Bill Metcalf, Ocala; daughter, Laurie Ann Lukas, Ocala; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Alexander Gray Jr., 83
BEVERLY HILLS — Alexander Gray Jr., 83, a retired inventory control supervisor, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000.
A native of Providence, R.I., he moved here from Warwick, R.I., 21 years ago. Mr. Gray retired from Gorham Silver Corp. after 44 years of service and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Roger Williams University. He was a member and trustee of Community Congregational Christian Church, Citrus Springs; 51-year member of Harmony Masonic Lodge, Providence; past commander of American Legion Post 77, Inverness; member of the International Order of Foresters Scottish Clan; member of the Grange of Citrus County; and member of the Quarter Century Club of Gorham Silver Corp. Mr. Gray was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Greene Gray, Beverly Hills; son, Alexander Gray III, Warwick; daughter, Lynda Sterrett, Sandersville, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

Annie M. Gray, 102
OCALA — Annie Margaret Gray, 102, a retired registered nurse, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at New Horizon Rehabilitation Center. A native of Woodcliff, Ga., she moved here in 1956. Mrs. Gray was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala. She was a graduate of Georgia Southern University.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gray.
Survivors include her sister, Nellie Corncoykendall, Oklahoma; brother, the Rev. King Evans, Sylvania, Ga.; stepson, Dr. Frank Gray, Charlotte, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

OCALA — Faye J. Hayes, 79, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000.
A native of Kentucky, she moved here from Homosassa three years ago. Mrs. Haynes was Baptist. Survivors include her son, Raymond Haynes, Belleview; daughters, Linda Tolles, South Haven, Mich., Shirley Turner and Elizabeth "Betty" Green, both of Belleview; sister, Mary Marsee, Lake City; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Alma Lou Pride, 83, homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000.
A native of Chattanooga, Tenn., she moved here from Louisville, Ky., in 1949. Mrs. Pride was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda P. Underwood and Janice P. Bullock, both of Ocala; brother, Thayer Patton; and sisters, Diane Bookout and June Kazy, all of Chattanooga; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

WILDWOOD — James M. Rennie, 79, a retired English professor for Lake-Sumter Community College, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2000.
A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, he moved here from St. Petersburg in 1970. Mr. Rennie was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Wildwood. He was a Royal Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Anne I. Rennie, Wildwood; and sisters, Winnifred Rowell, Mary Rose and Particia Caden, all of Edinburgh.

FORT MCCOY — Jewell Bowen, 86, a seamstress for Silver Springs Sportswear for 40 years, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000.
A native of Barney, Ga., she moved here from Georgia in 1940. Mrs. Bowen was a Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors include her daughters, Loretta Norris, Fort McCoy, and Glenda Boucher, Anthony; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Caterina S. Eagen, 44
GAINESVILLE — Caterina Spinelli Eagen, 44, a homemaker, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to Gainesville in 1992.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Eagen, Gainesville; son, Franco Galleta, Boston, Mass.; daughter, Angela Cabret, Ocala; brothers, Artie Spinelli, Queens, N.Y., and Stevie Spinelli, Brooklyn; sisters, Enza Spinelli, Brooklyn, and Fran Spinelli, Staten Island, N.Y.; and one grandchild.

OCALA — Edward L. Hulford, 64, a welder, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at his home.
A native of Bridgeport, Conn., he moved here from Milford, Conn.,16 years ago. Mr. Hulford was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda McClain, Ocala; and brother, Robert Hulford, Stratford, Conn.

Georgia K. Jeffries, 71
DUNNELLON — Georgia Katherine Jeffries, 71, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000.
A native of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, she moved here from Clearwater four years ago. Mrs. Jeffries was a member of Ladies Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 2473 in Dunnellon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore H. Jeffries.
Survivors include her son, Terry L. Jeffries, Clearwater; daughters, Cheryl L. Spencer and Susan Jeffries, both of Ozona; brothers, William P. King, Ravenna, Ohio, and Thurman B. King, Middleburg; sisters, Ruby A. Martin, Clearwater, and Garnet M. Olsen, Dunnellon; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A native of Jefferson County, Wis., he moved here from Orlando in 1986. Mr. Sweeney was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, and Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his sons, William B. Sweeney III, Thonotosassa, and Michael Sweeney, San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Debbie Boles, Santa Barbara, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

SUMMERFIELD — Marian L. Williams, 79, a homemaker, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Ashtabula, Ohio, she moved here from Benson, Ariz., in 1978. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia R. Sutch, Tallahassee; sons, Dan Williams, Summerfield, Lee E. Williams, Birmingham, Ala., and Glenn L. Beardsley, Ashtabula; sister, Lucille Benz, Lake City; brother, Harold Hayes, Tampa; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Elger M. Williams, and her son, Lonnie E. Williams.
