INVERNESS — Thomas Lawson Mayberry, 91, a retired engineer for Swift and Co., died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000.
A native of Society Hill, Ala., he moved to Inverness from Ocala 28 years ago. Mr. Mayberry was a member of First Baptist Church in Inverness.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Edna G. Mayberry, Inverness; son, Thomas L. Mayberry Jr., Inverness; daughter, Janice Forbes, Clewiston; sister, Mrs. Bert Blanton, Macon, Ga.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren,

Roy J. Meadows, 81
BELLEVIEW — Roy J. Meadows, 81, a retired subcontractor for Sears, Roebuck and Co., died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Richwood, W.Va., he moved to Belleview from Baltimore in 1986. Mr. Meadows was Baptist. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Jessie R. Meadows, Belleview; sisters, Beulah Kinney, Massillon, Ohio, and Loraine Miller, Uniontown, Ohio.

Virginia H. Meseck, 85
OXFORD — Virginia Hope Meseck, 85, a laboratory technician for the pharmaceutical industry, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Chicago, she moved to Oxford from New Port Richey , and she was a resident of Ocala for four years. She was a member of Worldwide Church of God in Tampa.
Survivors include her daughter, Ruth A. Lamson, Oxford; son, Joseph L. Meseck, Rock Island, Ill.; sister, Ruth Vinier, Pennsylvania; brother, Dave Stegner, Albany, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Alma B. Morgan, 88
OCALA — Alma Bonifay Morgan, 88, who was retired from civil service, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000.
A native of Camp Hill, Ala., she moved to Ocala from Columbus in 1984. Mrs. Morgan was a member of East Highland Uunited Methodist Church.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her first husband, Morris Addler Bonifay, and her second husband, Hubert H. Morgan, and a son, Robert R. E. Bonifay.
Survivors include her daughter, Elsie J. B. Neiman, Ocala; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Virginia Bugg Peek, 80, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at her home.
A native of Grove Hill, N.C., she moved to Ocala from Richmond, Va., 50 years ago.
Survivors include her sons, Eugene G. Peek III and David H. Peek, both of Jacksonville, and Thomas W. Peek and Albert B. Peek, both of Ocala; and 10 grandchildren.

Myles W. Rodehaver, 88
DELAND — Myles W. Rodehaver, 88, a retired college professor, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at Memorial Hospital West Volusia in DeLand.
A native of Wausau, Wis., he moved to DeLand from Ocala a year ago. Mr. Rodehaver was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ocala.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Rodehaver, DeLand; sons, Myles M. Rodehaver, Tulsa, Okla., and Mark W. Rodehaver, Brookline, Mass.; daughters, Beth Burns, Lake Elmo, Minn.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Joseph F. Smith, 79, an employee for General Electric, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Smith was a native of Hudson, N.Y., and a resident of Ocala. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala and St. Kierans Church in Heckscherville, Pa. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts in Ocala.

WEST PALM BEACH - Richard M. Boyher Sr., 61, a mechanical engineer for the marine industry, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, in Orlando.
Mr. Boyher was a native of St. Louis and a lifelong resident of West Palm Beach. He was a U.S. Marines veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a member of Moose Lodge in Lake Panasoffkee.

OCALA - Catherine Rebecca Ernst, 95, a retired bookkeeper, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at Alterra Sterling House in Lady Lake.
A native of Preble, Ind., she moved to Ocala from Vero Beach six years ago. Miss Ernst was Methodist.

OCALA - Helga Greco, 68, a co-owner and operator of an electronics store, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Berlin, Germany, she moved to Ocala from Hammonton, N.J., eight years ago. Mrs. Greco was Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent Greco, Ocala; a sister and a brother, both from Berlin.
