OCALA — Philip H. Sapienza, 65, a retired chief electrical inspector for city of Ocala, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at his home.
A native of New York, he moved here from Queens, N.Y., 27 years ago. Mr. Sapienza was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge and Pope John Paul Assembly.

OCALA — Charlotte V. Turner, 87, a retired bookkeeper, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at TimberRidge Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Dracut, Mass., she moved here from Flushing, N.Y., 11 years ago. Mrs. Turner was a member of Joy Lutheran Church and Aid Association for Lutherans.

OCALA — James C. Whitaker, 59, a retired automobile mechanic, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at his home.
A native of Rocky Mount, N.C., he moved here from Pahokee in 1995. Mr. Whitaker was a member of Church of God in Pahokee. He was a former fire chief in Middleburg.

BEVERLY HILLS — Barbara J. Braley, 72, a retired delicatessen department head, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000.
A native of Everett, Mass., she moved here from Kingston, N.H., 15 years ago. Mrs. Braley was a member of First Congregational Church in Kingston; New England Club; and Beverly Hills Recreation Association.
Mrs. Braley was preceded in death by her husband, Jack K. Braley in 1993.

A native of Bridgeport, Conn., he moved here from Dayton, Ohio, in 1978. Mr. Garrison was Catholic. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

BELLEVIEW — Joseph "Ed" Fales, 74, a retired grocery store owner, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at his home.
A native of Homestead, he moved to Belleview from Homestead in 1988. Mr. Fales was a member of Belleview Church of the Nazarene. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, B. Lee Fales, Belleview; son, Joseph E. Fales Jr., Cullman, Ala.; brother, John Fales, Fort Ogden; and three grandchildren.

GRAND RAPIDS — Lester D. Anderson, 87, a retired teacher and assistant superintendent for instruction, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, in Grand Rapids, Mich.
A native of Michigan, he was a resident of Ocala for 24 years before moving back to Michigan, two years ago. Mr. Anderson was a part-time sign language teacher for 24 years in both Michigan and Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Anderson, Mich.; Bruce Anderson, Onalee Cady, and Boyd Anderson; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

SILVER SPRINGS — Barbara Ann Babcock, 63, a retired machine operator for Osram Sylvania, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000.
A native of Hawthorne, N.J., she came here from Haledon, N.J., five months ago. Mrs. Babcock was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, she was Catholic and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Survivors include her sons, Michael C. Babcock, Silver Springs, Matthew R. Babcock, Ocala, and John E. Babcock, Schenectady, N.Y.; sisters, Patricia Saner, Meyersdale, Pa., and Phyllis Oberti, Wanaque, N.J.; brother, Phillip McManus, Haledon, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
