OCALA — Kenneth Loyal "Captain Hook" Bartow, 50 a lineman electrician, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000.
A native of Lancaster, Wis., he moved here from Orlando five years ago. Mr. Bartow was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ocala; life member of Disabled American Veterans; and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Christina W. Bartow, Ocala; parents, Adele and Felix Stimart, Sebring; daughters, Shelby Marie Bartow, Destiny LeAnna Bartow and Krista Carolyn Bartow, all of Ocala; sons, Mike Johnston, Bourbonnais, Ill., Eric Bartow, Park Forest, Ill., and Kenneth Loyal William Bartow, Ocala; sister Carolyn Powers, Lancaster, Wis.; brother, William Allen Bartow, Wheeling, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

RIVERVIEW — Catherine M. Burke, 69, a retired office manager for Massachusetts Institute of Technology, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000.
A native of Dorchester, Mass., she was a former resident of Ocala. Mrs. Burke was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sons, Walter M. Burke III, Newport, N.C., Kevin J. Burke, Riverview, Stephen Burke, Stoughton, Mass., and John Burke, Brookline, Mass.; daughter, Sandra Fowler, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; brothers, Matt Flaherty, Toledo, Thomas Flaherty, Roslindale, Mass., and James Flaherty, Massachusetts; sisters, Margaret Welch, Hull, Mass., and Barbara Donovan, Millis, Mass.; and eight grandchildren.

Harry F. Caiazzo, 76
SUMMERFIELD — Harry F. Caiazzo, 76, a retired director of foreign leasing for Western Union International, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at his home.
A native of Hoboken, N.J., he moved here from Calabash, N.C., one year ago. Mr. Caiazzo was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Caiazzo, Summerfield; daughters, Laura Maness, Conway, S.C., and Claudia Dalton, Kennebunk, Maine; son, Capt. Gregory Caiazzo, Italy; and six grandchildren.

OCALA — Arthur B. Fields Sr., 64, a retired forklift driver for Certified Grocers, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Fields was a native and a lifelong resident of Ocala. He was an active member of Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church. He graduated from Howard High School in 1955.
Survivors include his daughters, Juneast Mallard, Fernanda Bascombe, Charlene Hodges and Mildred Leach, all of Ocala; sons, Arthur Fields Jr., Charles Fields, Stephen Fields and Dwayne Fields, all of Ocala; sisters, Retha Mae Fields, Ocala, Lillie Mae Flowers, Jacksonville, Mildred Brown and Betsy Davis, both of West Palm Beach; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Anita Patricia Guarente, 74, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Bronx, N.Y., she moved here from Hollywood in 1990. Mrs. Guarente was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Guarente, Ocala; daughters, Barbara Ruby, New Smyrna Beach, Ellen Lane, Longwood and Patricia Guarente-DeSantolo, Coral Springs; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

OCALA — Rodrick D. Kinsler, 18, a production worker for Closet Maid, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000.
Mr. Kinsler was a native and a lifelong resident of Ocala.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Kinsler, Fort Lauderdale; father, Lloyd Kinsler Sr., Ocala; sister, Nicole Kinsler, Ocala; brothers, Rodney Kinsler, Lloyd Kinsler Jr., Abraham Collins and Laquandre Kinsler, all of Ocala; and his grandparents, David Kinsler Sr., Tillie Bennett and Frank Nelson Sr., all of Ocala.

Rhea E. Lowery, 76
OCALA — Rhea E. Lowery, 76, a secretary, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000.
A native of DeLand, she moved here from Orlando in 1971.
She was preceded in death by her son, Leland Tatum.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Lowery, Ocala; stepson, Louis Lowery, Belle Glade; stepdaughter, Wanda Chlom, West Palm Beach; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pauline J. Matzonkai, 76
BELLEVIEW — Pauline J. Matzonkai, 76, a retail salesperson, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at her residence.
A native of Naugatuck, Conn., she moved to Belleview from Fairfield, Conn., 20 years ago. Mrs. Matzonkai was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Albert L. Matzonkai, Belleview; daughters Paula J. Rich of West Chicago, Ill., Linda Daigle of Ocala, and Cynthia Matzonkai, Clermont; and two grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County.

DUNNELLON — William G. Soutar, 70, a vice president of a book distribution company, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000.
A native of Detroit, he moved here from Palmetto in 1991. Mr. Soutar was a member of Rainbow Springs Tennis Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Ramona Soutar, Dunnellon; sons, William Soutar, Brighton, Mich., Steven Soutar, Pinckney, Mich., Craig Soutar, Wolverine Lake, Mich., and Douglas Soutar, Woodstock, Ga.; daughter, Suzanne Soutar, Dewitt, Mich.; sister, Sally Tapager, Pine Island; and a grandchild.

SUMMERFIELD — Clarence Stevenson, 67, a former catering manager, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000.
A native of Jefferson County, Ky., he moved here from Louisville, Ky., in 1996. Mr. Stevenson was a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and a Kentucky Colonel. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Stevenson, Summerfield; sons, Donnie Paul Stevenson, Timothy Jude Stevenson, Robert Christian Stevenson, James Edwin Stevenson and Alan Corrigan, all of Louisville; daughters, Tracy Duncan, Henderson, Ky., and Felecia Prather, Ocala; brother, B.A. Stevenson, Louisville; sisters, Carol Jewell, Jeffersonville, Ind., Gladys Foster, Vivian Sampson, Katherine Sneed and Judith Glass, all of Louisville; and 12 grandchildren.

A native of Campville, he moved here 70 years ago. Mr. Brown was a member of Stanton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Lula M. Young, Weirsdale, Bessie L. Knox, Detroit, Earlene Scott and Ruth Scott; son, Raymond Scott; and 17 grandchildren.

Robert L. Carlisle, 68
CITRA — Robert L. Carlisle, 68, an insurance salesman, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville.
Mr. Carlisle was a native of Tampa. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Citra.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Carlisle, Citra; son, Michael Carlisle, Citra; daughters, Denna Montanez, Citra, Sharon Leger, Trenton, Robin Langford and Gail Jerrells, both of Cross City, Shelia Brown and Christine Lubin, both of Old Town; brothers, Alfred Carlisle, Zephyrhills, and Jack Carlisle, Tampa; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

FORT MCCOY — Stanley "Babe" T. Crabtree, 82, a retired dock worker, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cumberland, Md., he moved here from Redford, Mich., 17 years ago. Mr. Crabtree was a member of the Fort McCoy Lions Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Rhea Crabtree, Fort McCoy; son, Rexford Crabtree, Redford; daughters, Bonita Schwab, Custer, Mich., and Teracia Witt, Fort McCoy; brother, Eugene Crabtree, Dade City; sister, Clementine Whalley, Cumberland; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A native of Jamaica, Long Island, N.Y., he moved here in 1961. Mr. Crishock formerly worked for Minute Maid in Weirsdale for seven years.
Survivors include his daughters, Susan Marshall, Navato, Calif., and Patricia Sheridan, Escondido, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Irvin C. "Bud" Fisher, 79
BELLEVIEW — Irvin C. "Bud" Fisher, 79, a milk delivery person, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Pittsburgh, he moved here from Butler, Pa., 20 years ago. Mr. Fisher was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ocala; Elks Lodge, Inverness; Masonic Lodge (F&AM); and the High 12 Club, Ocala. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila K. McClusky.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Fisher, Belleview; daughter, Virginia F. Chapman, Butler; son, Irvin C. Fisher Jr., Durham, N.C.; sisters, Catherine Sarver, Zelienople, Pa., and Helen Duncan, Sun City Center; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
